She hopped she wasn't drooling, because this man was built! She raised up her eyes, chancing a look to his face and she wasn't disappointed. Never in all her twenty-one years had she seen a face so perfect, a man so breathtakingly hot, good looking, attractive; take your pick of adjective. The man is simply absolutely sexy, dark and alluring with dark hair and red eyes.
Wait, red eyes? Shit, he is also not human. How many werewolves would she encounter in one night?
"Can you not watch where you are going?!" he rudely asked. He may have looked like some god earlier, but the moment he opened his mouth, he lost about fifty percent of his appeal.
"Excuse me?!" Allegra was taken back by his tone. He had no right to be speaking to her in such manner, when he was clearly the one who had been standing looking clueless on where is meant for walking.
"You are excused" he continued in his rude, arrogant way, pushing the tray back to her. "Of course, I cannot expect anything better from a puny incompetent human" he scoffed
Wait, what did he just call her?
"Oh no, Mister, I don't care who you think you are, but you just don't come in here stand on the clear pathway like a clueless idiot, causing me to walk into you and then act as though I am the one at fault and even insult me on top of that" Allegra went off the hook, throwing every 'customer is king' and 'don't get in the bad books of super beings' teaching she had ever had out the window. She wouldn't just stand there and let this asshole insult her and her kind, no, she wasn't such a calm person.
If she had calmed down for a minute however, she would have noticed the aura he exuded, how quiet the whole diner had become, the shocked looks on everyone's faces at how she had spoken to the asshole, and Karen at the other side of the corner trying to get her attention to cut it out.
The asshole was about to speak again when she raised the hand that wasn't holding the tray to silence him with a finger, "And mind you, this puny incompetent human is a whole lot better than you"
He scoffed. The asshole actually scoffed at her. "Trust me, you are not even up to the least of my kind"
How dare he?!
"And that's you thinking you aren't the least of your kind. Trust me, I have seen way better ones of your lot" not really though, tonight was her first direct encounter with werewolves. She scoffed, "And let me guess, you are the kind of man who has stupidly high delusions about himself with all that arrogance. Who do you think you are? The Alpha King or something?" she had never before seen the Alpha King, not like he hides his identity but she just hasn't really seen his face before unlike others, however, she was certain this asshole wasn't him.
"Well, he is just that, the Alpha king" blondie, who was now stood behind the asshole said and he didn't look like he was joking. Allegra wanted to laugh and applaud blondie for joking with such a serious face until she finally observed the room and saw the look on everyone's faces confirming what blondie just said. With wide eyes she looked back to blondie who nodded with an apologetic look on his face, then she let her eyes go back to the asshole, who just so happened to be the Alpha king of their werewolf country, only to see him smirking arrogantly at her.
"Oh, we are sorry, your majesty" Karen said rushing over to them, "Our staff do not usually behave this way, I assure you, and also neither does Allegra, I believe she is just going through some personal issues and has no idea who you are…"
"Don't be too offended, Alpha, you know this is no five-star dining, just some one-star diner on the campus of a public university" she thought she heard the one with light brown hair, who could be either Siht or Arial, say.
The rest of the things Karen and the werewolf males, who she thought were speaking more to contain the situation and the Alpha King's anger than on her behalf, said and the replies of the Alpha king were drowned down by the noise of Allegra's overthinking. She had finally done it and broken rule number two. Her big mouth had finally put her in deep shit. Oh, shit.
