Meanwhile, as the Avengers and the rest of the world began to deal with the aftermath of the Chitauri Invasion, my mind began to stir awake again, at the behest of Aura, the system granted to me by God in my second life, and now, my third life. Aura began to detail the situation to me once my mind was clear.
[Master, the events have finished unfolding. Present Location: Stark Tower. Year: 2012. The rest of the day has passed, marking it May 5th. A caretaker has been assigned to watch over you. They do belong to Shield specifically, so you do not have to worry about them being aligned to Hydra. I will not say who, Master can meet them once you've gotten your thoughts in order. As for the rest of those Hydra agents lurking around Stark Tower, they have all departed. Loki's Scepter was taken with them.] Aura said to me.
'That's for the best. God likely placed me in this situation to have me leave a favorable impression on the Avengers. This also puts me in a good light with Shield. Seeing the starting point being the Chitauri Invasion, it makes sense for him to do that.', I concluded after seeing what all had transpired.
[A favorable conclusion. You could have easily left Iron Man to perish in outer space and take his spot, leaving for him to be captured by the Kree. But you didn't. And now, you have a base of operations to work from, at least for the time being. Once Shield learns that you really are a Human, they might quickly lose interest with you.] Aura responded.
'Heh. Now that could be a good What If episode. 'What if Iron Man Was Raised By Kree'? I could see it now.', I thought. All jokes aside, I'm glad I wasn't killed right off the bat or anything. I took Natasha's words seriously when she said that to me. Unlike Bruce, the Hulk was a very honest character. Seeing that I was friendly, he didn't immediately kill me. For that I am grateful.
'So what now, Aura? Have Lala and the other two woken up yet?', I questioned.
[Negative. They remain unconscious. Sephie also shows an inactive state. Shall I initiate our remaining protocols to fully integrate RDX-69 into you and Mistress Lala? The system has not been fully bound to your soul yet. I can also confirm your protection period is over. This is the best time to do so.] Aura suggested.
'Let's do that, then. How long will it take?', I responded.
[Ding! RDX-69 has begun integrating into host's soul. Host will experience an unconscious state during this time. Time remaining: 143:59:59...]
'Six days, huh? It won't cause any pain, will it? I'd rather not have Lala experience something like that.', I said, wondering if that would be the case here.
[It will not. The only thing it will cause is Master becoming unconscious. You will not be able to get integrated with MCU's Planet Earth until next week at the very earliest. Nothing important should happen during this time.] Aura responded.
'Very well. Start it. I'm very curious to what this system can do once I've woken back up.', I replied.
[Understood, Master. Beginning self-diagnosis of host's soul...Check. All signs, stable. Now initiating soul binding of RDX-69...]
Those were the last words I heard speak directly into my mind. My head shifted on the bed, and I truly passed out this time.
"Huh?", Natasha said. Her ears perked up at the subtle shift of the bed in the guest room. It was the next day now. She didn't expect to hear such a noise, even if it was a very faint one. She was presently seated on an upholstered couch, lazily watching the news of what happened yesterday. No matter which news channel she switched to, it was covering the destruction of the Chitauri Invasion.
Thankfully, to alleviate her bored look, she heard that subtle shift come from the room Baki was staying in.
Both Baki and Lala were now truly unconscious. But that wasn't the most surprising thing she found once she entered the guest room.
Two eyes could be staring right at Natasha with their body now propped up against the bed frame. Eyes showing full of curiosity.
"Uhh...I wasn't really expecting one of you to suddenly wake up like this. You can understand me, right?", Natasha questioned.
While Baki and Lala were completely passed out, as was Nana, it was none other than Momo who had woken up. She just tilted her head sideways, observing the red-headed woman before her.
"@$)%#$!!*&^", Momo responded. But to her surprise, she tried speaking once, only to hear her own voice unrecognizable. Even she raised her eyes, not expecting to hear that.
"Why am I not surprised that I can't understand you?", Natasha sighed. But before she could do anything else, her ears perked up again. This time an equal amount of surprise displayed on her face. Momo continued to speak.
"Sorry, that must have been my native tongue. Can you understand me now? I haven't personally learned how to speak English yet, I know of it at least.", Momo said to Natasha. Natasha just stared at Momo, realizing what language Momo was now speaking with. It wasn't English.
"You speak Japanese.", Natasha stated. Among the languages Natasha knows, Japanese is one of them. She had a rather vast array of languages under her belt, courtesy of Shield no less. She had travelled around lots and lots of countries. She picked up several languages on the go.
"Oh! So you can understand me. How lovely.", Momo replied, happily clapping her hands together. "You must be the one who has been looking after us since we've arrived here, right? I've heard bits and pieces while I was knocked out. I could tell there were several voices, at least.", Momo continued.
"I don't think that's the main issue here. Why does an alien like you speak Japanese?", Natasha retorted, still showing surprise she's able to converse with Momo like this. Natasha was now speaking Japanese.
"Well, that's because of Baki-sama and Onee-sama, of course!", Momo answered. Natasha raised her eyes, hearing a name drop before her. Natasha tilted her head toward Baki.
"Is Baki the name of this person?", Natasha asked, observing the muscular brown-haired man before her.
"It sure is. Pardon me, it is rude not having had introduced myself yet.", Momo said, realizing she had yet to do introduce herself. She didn't have enough stamina to come out of the bed yet, so she just laid still, and spoke to Natasha in a formal tone. "My name is Momo Belia Deviluke, the third Princess of Planet Deviluke. Or was, anyways.", Momo said. As she said that, her eyes became downcast.
"Planet Deviluke...", Natasha uttered, unfamiliar with that name. "Thor's given us several names to work with, but I don't recall this place existing. You really did come from outer space. And you're a person of royalty?", Natasha questioned, gaining interest.
"Key word, "Was".", Momo simply replied, letting out a drawn sigh. "You ever experience the feeling of wanting to go back home, but you couldn't?", Momo asked.
Natasha didn't immediately reply to that. It was faint, but a picture of a certain golden-blonde haired woman appeared in her mind. It only lasted for a brief moment, before Natasha quickly shook that thought away.
"Can't say that I have. I tend to roam around from place to place, thanks to the job I have. Wish I could say more, but I'm still mostly trying to take it all in right now. The fact I'm conversing with an alien who speaks Japanese...", Natasha sighed. It was all very real to her, but at the same time, what was playing out before her felt like fantasy.
"I'm equally surprised you know. Let alone being the one to look after us, I didn't think I could immediate start conversing. Going from planet to planet is always such a hassle. Though perhaps, I said more than I should have there. Teehee~", Momo replied.
"Well, if you really are aliens like Thor is, space travel must be easy for you. Not very much so for us. At least, not yet. Either way, you still must be exhausted. We can save the more serious questions for later. After all, the actual person who owns this place currently resides on another floor. I'm just leeching, like you are. But I have responsibilities to tend to. Looking after you four is one of them.", Natasha responded.
"I'd like that. And before you ask, I have gotten quite used to earthen cuisine. I'll be resting most of the time, but once I have enough energy to walk around some, I could join you for a meal or two.", Momo suggested.
"That will do. We'll save the rest of your introductions for later. Rest now.", Natasha said, urging Momo to focus on resting.
Momo still felt very tired and exhausted. While she might have had god's protection during their arrival here to Planet Earth, that is gone now, and it was already wracking up against her entire body. She could barely move. It was a surprise that she could even be conscious right now. Nana was still out cold, and likely will be for a while.
Natasha departed from the guest room they were staying in, and closed the door. Momo was by herself now, still awake. She had a good look at Baki and her older sister, Lala.
"Still, a 'System', huh? Sounds like you two have quite an interesting story to tell Nana and I later. That is, if you do want to talk about it, Baki-sama. One day I was just relaxing in your home back in Japan, and before I realized it, I was in that white space together with you two. And now, I'm here...", Momo uttered to herself. As she said that, she brought her knees closer to her person. "Is everything really gone...?", Momo continued, still in disbelief of what all transpired so far.
Before she realized it, she was consumed by exhaustion. Listening to her body, she knew she would have to save those questions for later. For the time being, she nestled herself against the pillow she was resting against, and pulled the covers of her bed over. She passed out right then and there.
Momo didn't know if this was the same Planet Earth that she used to be on. That thought lingered in her mind while she fell asleep. Disregarding Nana's present condition, Baki and Lala were dealing with something else completely different right now. The soul binding of their RDX-69 system, whose consciousness split into two, and likewise becoming Aura and Sephie. Aura was assigned to Baki, and Sephie was assigned to Lala. It would seem Momo picked up on the existence of this system. She would not intrude on this though. Not unless they wanted to talk about it.
