Chapter 3 - :She Found Out!

When Belle saw him, the only thing she remembered was, stay away from him. From where she sat, Belle could feel cold radiating from his pale skin, as if he were dead.

While the lecturer commenced, he discussed more about the rabbit animals.

Each desk would partner to feed, train, and then on the last day, slaughter the animal. Belle felt pity for the poor, cute things in the cage.

When she realized Oliver had been looking at her with dull eyes, she turned to her side to see if it was someone else he had his eyes on.

But there wasn't—it was her. Oliver kept looking at her with the eyes of you're a walking meal, which made Belle feel very uncomfortable.

"Walking around with that scent of yours, you must have a lot of blood," said Oliver.

Belle was shocked when she heard the first words that came out of his red lips. "What?" she asked, but only got a continuous stare from Oliver.

The lecture ended, and everyone was now leaving the classroom. "So what's it gon' be? Are you taking Peter home today?"

"Peter? You already named the rabbit?" Belle chuckled.

"You could choose some other name. I'm sorry, my name is Oliver Snow," he finally introduced himself. Belle also did the same.

"I guess today will be my turn to take Peter home. What about his treatment?"

Oliver didn't answer. His red eyes were looking behind Belle. When she turned, this time William was standing at the door, looking a bit upset.

"Is he your boyfriend?" asked Oliver.

Belle felt shocked hearing that. She didn't know why, but Oliver was now the second person mistaking her for William's date.

"No… we're just close friends."

"Hmm, okay. We'll meet at noon to get Peter's treatment. Where can I pick you up?"

"You don't need to pick her up. I'll be there to drop her at Doctor Harry's vet clinic. You can meet us there," Williams quickly cut the topic short.

"Come on, Belle, let's go home," said Williams.

She didn't object and still couldn't understand the beef William had with these people. Belle followed Williams outside. Before leaving the classroom, she turned and saw the familiar stare again.

Oliver was yet again looking at her like raw food. "What was he telling you?"

"What? Nothing, we're just science partners."

"Well, listen—you'll stay away from Oliver and anybody attached to him," said Williams.

"I don't understand. Why would I do something like that? He wasn't really bad just now."

They both argued along the driveway of the school and all the way home. Belle didn't speak with him, another of her chances to ask what oath and coven meant.

"I'll pick you up by 5," said Williams, then drove off without allowing Belle to say a word.

When she finally entered her house after watching the car zoom off, Belle's dad wasn't home, which was expected for a man who loves hunting with his life.

She made something to quickly eat, and after taking her bath, she called her mom while the rabbit was on her lap.

It didn't take much time before her dad came back, dropping his heavy shotgun on the table and sitting tiredly on the chair with a heavy sigh.

"Hey, you're home," said Belle while walking down the stairs. She entered the kitchen and brought a portion of food for Isaac.

"Thank you, Belle. How was class today?"

"Good, nothing out of the ordinary happened. How was your hunt? Did you catch what you were looking for?"

"It's really getting hard these days. I swear to God I see human footsteps deep in the woods. No one should have the guts to go near there."

"Just relax, Dad. You'll get the hunt," said Belle, standing up and slightly kissing his forehead.

Hours passed and it was now six. It was as if William was patiently waiting because he had arrived almost at the exact time.

Yet again, they both didn't turn to look at each other or exchange words. As Williams dropped off Belle and Peter at Mr. Harrison's vet clinic, he was about to enter, but the man himself stopped him.

"Sorry, Williams. Only anatomy kids are allowed in here. You could wait outside."

He sighed and stood in front of his car. When Belle got in, Oliver was already inside the clinic, waiting for her. They both waved like strangers, each having awkward feelings.

Meanwhile...

Williams and a gang that followed Oliver were outside. He leaned against his car, looking at them taunt him. He didn't say anything, except when he heard what provoked him.

"Damn, her neck was pretty bad, like the smell of a dead whore," said the one wearing a black cap.

Immediately after he heard that, Williams stood up and approached the four vampires. He had already had enough and had purposely not spoken to any member of the coven.

But it seemed they had terribly mistaken his silence for weakness. The moment he got there—bam—he punched the bastard so hard that blood gathered in his mouth.

And when one among the four tried intervening, Williams dodged a certain claw by squatting and coming up with a quick uppercut.

It seemed all members here had changed into their vampire forms, growling at Williams, who silently stood looking at them circling him.

There was nobody around the area, so slaughtering Williams here wouldn't be a problem. Besides, it was getting dark.

After a moment of silence, Williams cracked his neck slowly. His eyes turned blue, and sharp fangs extended with his claws. His ears grew sharp, and fur grew at the sides of his face. Then he roared so loud.

Williams wasn't a vampire, but an original omega werewolf. Four of these vampires wouldn't match him—and he knew it. But his roar attracted Oliver and Belle.

When Belle came out, she was frightened, goosebumps hitting her very hard. She felt her skin cold as if dead and her heart pounding very fast.

"Wi… Williams?"

As the vampires heard her voice, they turned from Williams, and one of them dashed at Belle so fast that before anyone could react, he was already there and had caught her wrist, causing her blood pressure to rise above normal.

"You even brought another snack," the vampire growled. His grip had already punctured Belle's feeble skin.

However, before the vampire could do or say anything else—bam—from behind, Oliver flung him by the collar, sending him slamming hard against the windscreen of their car.

Belle was shocked, and while the vampires were growling like dogs, Oliver remained quiet, looking at the blood spot on Belle.

"Are you hurt?" asked Oliver.

William ran in front of Belle, also growling to protect her. Before anything else could happen, a big gunshot was heard.

"What's up, boys?" said Sheriff Wilson. One of the vampires was still growling, then he shot an inch away from his feet. "Next might be your head."

Nothing else happened after that shot. Mr. Harrison, on the other hand, was shivering inside his clinic. Although he knew these things, it still scared him.

"Come on, Belle, let's go," said Williams.

Belle and Oliver had their eyes connected the entire time. Even after she entered the car, they were still looking at each other. William and his dad drove off, with a lot of explanation needed from them.

"Bravo, Superman. You just ruined our Lambo," said a vampire.

Oliver ignored them and walked back inside the clinic to get the rabbit.
