Chapter 2 - :Stay Away From Him!

Again, the atmosphere was tense, and neither of them said anything. However, what Williams said next gave Belle goosebumps and shock.

"It wasn't an animal. They were vampires, Belle."

Belle kept quiet. After a few moments, she tried—honestly, she tried very hard—not to laugh, but she couldn't contain it and just kept laughing.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, vampires? Williams, even in situations like this one, you make jokes," said Belle. She couldn't possibly believe it was true.

Before Williams could say anything else, Wilson opened the driver's door. Williams kept quiet.

"Why were you laughing, Belle? What's funny?" his dad asked. From the look William gave her, Belle felt she shouldn't say anything and kept quiet.

"Okay, keep William's vampire jokes to yourself."

"Vampire jokes? No, he was saying something else about midtown guys."

"Oh, okay." Wilson made eye contact with Williams through the window. He kick-started the car's engine and hit the road for the school.

Along the way, none of them exchanged words. William, who was a usual troublemaker, was very quiet. Belle could only think maybe it was because of the incident.

When they finally arrived at the big school, rich kids were already outside, sitting on their Lamborghinis, some with basketballs and cliques.

"Go with William. He'll show you around while I meet your principal."

So Belle followed the gloomy William. When they were walking, she had millions of guys commenting on her beauty.

For Belle, it wasn't something unique, and Williams didn't mind them until a certain clique of boys adorned in black drew his attention.

"Hey William, is that your new girlfriend? Isn't it too early to break the oath again?"

Immediately William heard that, his temper was provoked. It seemed as if he vanished and appeared in front of the male, slamming him against the locker.

Bam.

"If any of you even dares touch her, I swear to God, I'll break your jaws," said William while gritting his teeth.

Although where Belle stood was a bit far from the incident, from his façade alone, she could see how incredibly angry he was.

William wasn't like typical guys. He was tall and also a bit muscular—maybe even cute sometimes, if he wasn't a troublemaker.

"Come, Belle, let's go." William walked and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm telling you, Willy boy, if she's who we think she is, the coven ain't gon' consider you just lost one."

Belle heard things she couldn't weave together, like coven and oath. Her curiosity begged her to ask Williams, but the mood wouldn't let her, so she just locked up the thought.

William took Belle inside the school's café. There, she met with some of his friends—two black-haired males (one wearing lenses) and a black-haired female with lenses as well.

"You must be Belle. Heard a lot 'bout you from boy Willy over here," said the non-lens boy, introducing himself as Joshua.

"Don't get it the wrong way. Williams mostly talks about how pretty his cousin is. Didn't know he wasn't bluffing," Joshua added.

"Dude, relax. She just got here, don't rizz her with your words," said the unspoken female of the group. She introduced herself as Lucinda and offered Belle a seat close to her.

"Hey Williams, heard Professor Mathew had eyes around for you," said the lens-wearing male, Kelvin.

Williams looked at Belle. "I gotta go. Lucinda also studies anatomy, so locating your class shouldn't be that hard," said Williams, then left the group.

"We study the same discipline? Awesome—girl power," said the excited Lucinda.

Joshua and Kelvin stood up to get the ladies something to eat. From the line, Joshua would constantly turn and wink at Belle. Lucinda noticed this and quickly spoke.

"That's not the guy," said Lucinda.

"What? The guy?"

"Tsk. Please, don't tell me you'll be here without having a deal with any male, and if that happens, I'm letting you know Joshua ain't the one."

Lucinda began describing different guys in Midtown for her, also pointing at some suitable guys in the cafeteria, but none really interested Belle.

"Okay, you've rejected almost all my cards. Guess I must now show you the king of all kings—Oliver Snow."

As she said that, a handsome, tall male walked into the café, neatly dressed in black, a few males strolling behind him. He was very handsome, and Belle saw that.

"Impressed, uh? That's Oliver, campus number one hottie. Wonder why his skin is pale anyway. Doesn't look normal, right?"

Lucinda asked, but Belle couldn't hear her. She just kept on looking at Oliver. She also noticed a boy walking with him was the one William had slammed against the locker earlier.

"Okay, princess, stay away from him."

As Lucinda said that, a smile crept on Oliver's face, almost turning to their direction.

"What? I wasn't planning on... on talking with him," Belle stammered.

"Yeah, sure you wouldn't... He's hot, but never has been seen around with a girl. It's like the one ice cream everyone can't afford."

"Oh."

"Seriously, girl, I'm telling ya, stay away from Oliver. Plus, you'll be seeing a lot of him 'cause he's in my discipline—which is also yours."

"Hey, do you know what the oath and coven is?" asked Belle. After she saw that guy, the question lingered in her again. But Lucinda didn't know anything like that.

After the boys came, the bell immediately rang, signaling classes to be resumed. Like Williams had said, it was very easy to locate her first class by following Lucinda.

And the first class was animal practical. They would be using a white rabbit for the practical with two partners.

When they entered the class, it didn't take a minute before Lucinda saw someone to pair with, but Belle was still turning around looking for a single person.

But instead, she found an empty seat at the front, so she sat on the seat. Before the lecturer could commence, Oliver walked in, his red eyes landing on Belle—actually, his seat.

When Belle saw him, the only thing she remembered was, stay away from him.
