Chapter 4 - The Great Checkout Battle

The atmosphere in the store had calmed down a bit after the monster was sent flying through the ceiling, but the real battle was just about to begin: the checkout battle!

Tatsumaki stared at the overloaded shopping cart as if she were about to embark on a complex military operation. Meanwhile, Saitama watched the whole thing like he was witnessing a live horror movie.

"Do we really need all this?" Saitama muttered, eyeing the mountain of groceries that could probably sustain a small country.

"Of course!" Tatsumaki replied enthusiastically. "Shopping isn't just a necessity, it's an art. We must get everything we need... and more!" she added with a suspiciously sinister smile.

They approached the checkout counter, where the cashier stared at their cart like it was an alien spaceship that had just landed in his store.

"Uh... is this for a family gathering?" the cashier asked cautiously, clearly trying to comprehend the sheer madness before him.

"Of course!" Tatsumaki declared. "I'm the commander, and everything here is under my control!"

Saitama, completely uninterested in the theatrics, was solely focused on one thing—his hunger. "Can we finish this quickly? I need food."

The cashier took a deep breath and started scanning the items one by one. As the checkout machine beeped repeatedly, Saitama subtly reached into his pocket, hoping he could come up with some alternative way to pay.

"Is there a way to... pay for this in an unconventional way?" Saitama asked, trying to get the cashier's attention.

But Tatsumaki was in full battle mode, carefully watching the items as if she was orchestrating a world-altering event.

Then, suddenly, the checkout machine froze. After a few suspenseful beeps, Tatsumaki smirked confidently. "Payment complete!"

Saitama blinked. "Wait... You actually paid for all this?"

"Of course!" Tatsumaki said with a victorious grin. "The battle is over, the enemy has paid the price, and from now on, everything is under my control."

Still trying to process what just happened, Saitama turned to Genos and sighed. "See? This is my daily life... proceed with caution."

As they headed toward the exit, Saitama felt like his day wasn't over yet. Tatsumaki, on the other hand, was already scanning the store, as if shopping itself was a new battlefield.

"Wait, did I forget something?" she mused, her eyes gleaming with determination as she pulled another cart toward her.

At that moment, Saitama realized something important: no matter how many monsters he fought, shopping with Tatsumaki was the real challenge.
