My name is Henry Park. I'm 27.
I was orphaned at the age of eight, the sole survivor of a plane crash. With nowhere to go, a military base took me in, providing me with shelter and education. From the age of ten, after school hours, I began training alongside the soldiers. By sixteen, I was proficient in hand-to-hand combat, knife fighting, and a range of firearms: pistols, rifles, and sniper rifles.
After graduating high school, I decided to return to Pampanga, where my family and I had lived. My parents had left behind some property, and I sold most of it, keeping only the house I now reside in. The proceeds would fund my college education. I also received a monthly allowance from the soldiers who had raised me, particularly Colonel Arturo Cuevas, who was like a father to me.
The house I live in now is the same one my family occupied before the accident. It has three bedrooms, one with an attached bathroom, and a shared bathroom. Since it was close to the university, I rented out the other two rooms, accommodating two people per room. It was there that I met my closest friends: Anthony Chaves, a freshman in Accountancy; Roy Galvez, also a freshman in Civil Engineering; Enricho Montenegro, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student; and Michael Lao, a fourth-year medicine student.
I chose Culinary Arts as my major, driven by my passion for cooking. After graduating, I decided to join the military at the age of 21, serving for five years. Then, things went sideways during a mission. I didn't get shot or anything, but something messed with my nerves. Like, big time. Doctors called it Peripheral Neuropathy. Basically, it's when your nerves get all messed up, and you start losing feeling in your hands and feet. Imagine your limbs constantly buzzing with pain, or going numb at random. Walking's a chore, holding stuff is a gamble, and the pain? It's like a constant, low-level fire. So, yeah, my soldier days were pretty much over.
But then, I discovered a magical world, and everything changed.
Join me on my journey through the world of Eldorath, and witness how it transformed my life.
