Chapter 35 - We are not ghost hunters.

For some people, they believe that ghosts are in dark places, or at least, a place where they can feel comfortable there, then reside. But... Have you ever thought? Those who reside in the darkness, ghosts that feel unreal, invisible and untouchable have desires and wishes?

They believe that, and they believe the supernatural can hurt them.

Let's take a look at the toilet at school, doesn't it look comfortable? Or at least... That's what only humans can capture, like admiring a photo, even though it was the frame that made it stand.

"Hey... Why do we have to go to school at night? It's scary, you know."

The two young men stood, wearing their school uniforms still neatly worn. Their faces showed tension, their breath seemed to stop, frozen and hanging in the air.

"Shhhh, just be quiet! Besides, we're here to catch a ghost, aren't we? I'm also curious about the rumors of the Moon Queen."

The young man answered his friend who was still shuddering with worry, and goosebumps were running down his bones. His arms were bent to hug her shoulders, while his eyes seemed to examine every detail and corner of the school that was laughing as if swallowed by darkness.

"Moon Queen?"

He reacted, feeling increasing confusion as the topic progressed.

"Yes... They say she is a ghost girl who is always seen dancing in the air at night at this school, they say she will dance gracefully under the moonlight."

"What? Dancing in the air? Is that some kind of flying?'

A quick shake of the head came from his friend, his face now set in a much more serious expression.

"The photo has been spread on several of this school's media groups, it really looks like she's treading on air, and what's even stranger, the photographer was sure that he had taken a good picture, even with an expensive and high-quality camera, but all the results were... Blurred."

He swallowed heavily, his eyes widened, sweat dripped from his temples, his lips trembled, and the cold around him pierced his skin even more.

"Dude, should we go back? I think this is... a little dangerous."

His friend chuckled softly, his hand raised to wave in a light, nonchalant gesture, as if he didn't care.

"Come on buddy, there have been a lot of rumors that she is a harmless neutral ghost, I feel the same way."

The young man fell silent, while his legs were shaking, no, his whole body was shaking, as if he wanted to reject the idea outright, his hands clenched tightly, there was an uneasy feeling that filled his heart.

"Well... If you're scared, that's okay, I'll still do it myself, because I heard she's really pretty."

The young man widened his eyes at his friend's stupidest words, he rolled his eyes tiredly, as if he had faced his friend many times.

"So all this just happened for your lewdness, huh, you depraved bastard."

His friend gasped in surprise, but he could only hide it by pretending to scratch his cheek awkwardly.

They started walking again, although the uneasy feeling started to creep in and grew stronger with each step they took. Their breathing became heavier, but there was also a sense of comfort that they couldn't describe.

"It feels like hugging my favorite pillow."

"How perverted."

With a light chuckle they continued walking without paying any more attention, until they were at the end of the hallway, which felt like it was getting the best moonlight. The windows there were wide open, and the rustling of the wind felt like whistling and... Like a song.

They approached, not because they wanted to, but as if their instincts were telling them to do so, and their eyes both looked out. When their eyes widened, just stared, seeing the girl in a fairly long white kimono, her hair was so long, and it flowed smoothly and neatly.

But her face was completely invisible, not as if it was unreachable, but as if it was not allowed.

"Friend! Is that the Moon Queen? Wow... You're right, she's very beautiful."

Even though his cheerful words came out, the friend beside him remained silent, not answering at all, confusion gripped his head, he turned to look at his friend. His gaze was straight, still staring at the Moon Queen who was dancing non-stop in the air, his eyes were round, as if his mind was clear, there was nothing at all.

"Buddy... Are you okay?"

His friend remained silent, and as he took a few steps forward, he got closer to the window, until like a strong determination he stood at its frame.

"Dude, are you crazy?!"

No matter how loud his voice was, his friend remained silent, his eyes focused on the graceful figure dancing, illuminated by the beautiful moonlight. He tried to stop his friend, his friend leg was grabbed so tightly.

But his friend's steps began to advance, his brain stopped working when he saw his friend stepping on air like the ground. He started screaming like a madman.

Higher and higher, his friend began to climb up slowly stepping on the air, like climbing stairs, but in reality that was all he saw, there was nothing to step on.

"Dude! Come back!!!"

Suddenly his eyes rolled back, and within seconds, he fell unconscious.

"Okay... After all that long story you told so what do you mean by this? You want us to catch a ghost?"

Jerry's sarcastic tone came out indifferently, his hand lifting a drink bottle, while his casual gesture was still clearly visible.

"Damn it!!! I'm not here to catch ghosts, we're not ghost hunters, you bastard!"

Zaki was provoked, he approached with an annoyed face, while his index finger pointed at Ray with a gesture that looked impolite like that.

"Hahaha, maybe you forgot that we made an agreement Zaki, are you trying to pretend you forgot?"

Zaki clicked his tongue, he quickly averted his gaze, while his body began to fall hard on the chair, drawing attention to us. His hand rose to rub his head, which perhaps felt stiff and dizzy for him.

"Danji, share your cigarettes."

His hand was raised, and Danji began to pour out a cigarette to light. Zaki sucked it slowly, and let out a thick smoke.

Yadz sighed, he glanced at us several times, until finally he dared to voice his own opinion.

"Maybe this isn't something bad we're dealing with you know, we might be able to look for clues, and Ray, the person you told me about, had his friend kidnapped by that ghost, right?"

With an innocent face, Ray nodded quickly, answering without hesitation.

I thought for a moment, one hand coming up to rub my chin.

"Yeah right Ray, he, that guy is still around right? We could probably ask him, it feels almost impossible anyway."

A small murmur and a nod became their light answer, I nodded in understanding without having to ask for more. My gaze shifted to the iced chocolate that had been prepared in the glass until I drank it.

"Hi everyone, can I join?'
