"W-What's wrong Cestele."
Ray ran forward to approach Cestele who covered her face in fear, but all that was in front of him was an empty corridor without any signs.
"E-Earlier I saw something go through the wall."
Everyone shuddered, a feeling of discomfort began to creep into their hearts, Ray stepped forward to check, one eyebrow raised as he examined.
"Could it be that it was Noah? He's trying to attack us again like that time?"
Hearing that Cestele shook her head quickly, immediately denying it.
"No, he's not a child, I saw that he looked like a woman."
Ray froze for a moment, one hand raised to scratch his head in confusion. His feet began to take a few steps, trying to examine again, we also moved and examined.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?"
We were shocked, our hearts felt like they were about to jump out, as soon as we turned around Lyzky was standing in his hoodlum suit. You rubbed your chest, feeling the beat getting faster there.
"Are you crazy!! Besides, why did you just come now? You exceeded the promised time."
Yadz said while pointing at Lyzky with an annoyed expression. Lyzky raised one eyebrow indifferently, then raised his hand to scratch his head.
"What else can I do, I'm very sleepy, and besides I don't want to take this stupid ghost search too seriously."
"I agree with Lyzky."
Danji replied from the other direction, still smoking his cigarette with an indifferent expression as well.
Our attention was again diverted to Cestele, while Cestele was still shaking slightly from the previous fear.
"Cestele? Did you really see the ghost?"
Cestele gasped, she nodded slowly, and her voice came softly and a little faint.
"Seriously, I saw it."
A moment of silence filled, then in that short pause Lyzky broke into the conversation with her flat expression.
"Ghost? What do you mean she has long black hair?"
Cestele widened her eyes, then trembled again as she remembered it.
"Y-Yes, that's right."
"In white clothes and black eyes, right?"
Cestele shuddered even more, her head nodded slightly, with a trembling voice she tried to speak.
"How come you know so much detail?"
Lyzky raised one hand, his thumb extended to point towards the hallway, his gesture very relaxed.
"When I was on my way here, I saw her on the wall of the women's toilet, it seemed like she was stuck."
Silence filled, Lyzky's words were piercing and then just hung there, his nonchalant face a complete contrast to the information he was conveying.
"Want to see? Come on."
***
"S-Scary!!"
Luna screamed, as soon as she saw the figure of the girl stuck in the wall, her hair was long and black, her skin was pale white, her eyes were wide with black pupils.
"Excuse me, so you're really a ghost?"
My question made the ghost girl turn to me, her eyes widened then she tried to break free and struggle.
"No!!! I must not be seen by humans!!! Absolutely not!!! Let me go!!!"
I chuckled bitterly, then I raised both my hands, indicating that I would not do anything to her.
"Relax, we will not do anything, and it seems you need help huh?"
The ghost girl looked away deliberately.
"H-Huh, don't think you can touch me, and we are two different creatures, so you will not possibly—"
Her words did not continue, I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled it out until she was shocked and panicked.
"What the hell?! How can you touch me?"
"Alright, I've helped you, now you owe me, if you try to escape I'll purify you."
My hand reached out to show the bag of salt, the ghost girl was silent, and then nodded slowly realizing her current position.
"Alright, what do you all want? It seems like some of you are not ordinary humans, I can feel it."
The ghost girl stared straight ahead, taking in the details of the faces with different auras.
"Take us to where the Moon Queen was found."
The ghost was silent, her expression turned serious, her eyes blank.
"Are you sure?"
The question hung, and without further pause I answered it.
"Yes, please tell us, and don't make us wait."
The ghost girl smiled slightly, then finally nodded slowly.
"Alright, follow me."
She began to float in the air like a normal ghost, and we followed behind. The ghost gasped when she saw Ray flying beside her, imitating the same ghost style as her.
"It turns out you guys aren't ordinary humans, huh."
We passed every corridor and hallway, and at that moment it was only filled with the pounding of our hearts that seemed to be heard in our heads.
"Oh yeah, ghost lady, why were you stuck in the wall earlier? Basically, going through walls is easy for ghosts, right?"
The question came from Yadz who was walking quietly behind her.
"Right, basically going through objects is identical to us. But... Since the appearance of the Moon Queen, everything has become strange."
Ray squinted, then turned his head with curiosity and confusion.
"Why is that?"
The ghost girl sighed, then began to speak in her characteristic faint voice.
"It can't be helped, it seems the Moon Queen is absorbing spirituality, or maybe... Slowly rejecting our spirituality, that creature is the only one we can't understand."
"So... That's why you were stuck in the wall earlier?"
The ghost chuckled, for some reason his characteristic ghostly chuckle made my skin crawl a little.
"That's how it is."
Silence filled again, and somehow... Awkwardness reigned, between us, I tried to speak.
"Why does the Moon Queen absorb spirituality? And... For what?"
The ghost girl glanced.
"I don't know... Basically, places like schools and others do have high spirituality, and that's what makes us ghosts feel compatible. But somehow the presence of the Moon Queen almost seems to eliminate spirituality itself."
"And again... We don't know much, because we always avoid the Moon Queen as much as possible, because maybe, just being near her, she could immediately disappear."
Hearing that we fell silent, our breaths holding for a moment.
"Wait, wouldn't this be dangerous for you, if there was the Moon Queen in front of you... You could die?"
The ghost girl chuckled softly, then looked back with her typical ghostly smile that was a little scary.
"Don't worry, besides I'm sure you guys can eradicate the Moon Queen, I believe in you guys."
Without wasting much time, he moved forward again, floating in his ghostly manner, while Ray planted beside him.
The dark hallway slowly began to show light, and that place... Where the moon seemed to shine brightly, several windows were open, and the moonlight... Shining like diamonds.
"And this is where, the Moon Queen was found."
