What is that creature? A large snake with many eyes and a burning body—when I looked into its eyes, my vision went dark, my mind went blank, and my body became weak; the fire in my hand went out.
When the fire went out, I regained my sight and the energy to stand. And the big snake was still there, staring at me—no, it was staring at all of us.
"Gasp, who are you? We are not enemies; don't attack us." Higura said while raising both hands. I nodded too and said, "Right, we just want to defeat this Skinwalker. May I know who you are?"
But before the big snake could answer, the SkinWalker struggled, as if he didn't want to deal with the snake. I don't know what happened, but at that moment the SkinWalker successfully freed himself from the grip of the vines that bound him. But just as he stepped away, the big snake disappeared and appeared under his feet, swallowing him whole.
'Haha, I'm in danger.'
What a fucked-up situation I'm in. After swallowing the Skinwalker, the snake stared at the two of us. A little nervously, I asked again about its origins.
"Umm, Can we know who we are dealing with?"
The snake opened its eyes again.
"You are going to Brazil."
This time Higura and I felt like we were brought into another dimension, where the place we saw here was very different from the one outside.
"Huh, what happened? Where are we"? Higura looked at his unfamiliar surroundings in confusion. Why? Because we are in a large rainforest.
"I don't know, man, but one thing is for sure, the snake said we were going to Brazil. Don't tell me we're on Amazon, damn it , I'm still young!"
Higura and I then walked along the muddy path; on our left and right, we saw many other living creatures who were watching what we were doing.
It was an unpleasant journey, but we kept on walking until we came across an ancient building structure in the forest.
"Hey Higura, do we have to go there to get out? Somehow I'm afraid that place is the nest of the fire snake."
"I don't want to either, but my instincts tell me we have to go there to find out what's really going on and how to get out of here."
With that in mind, we walked into the ancient ruins. A very dark place, I calmly created a fire and put it back in my hand. Actually, I still had a little fear that the snake would attack me too. So I prepared my fire just in case, but the snake also has fire, so I don't know if it will be effective or not.
We walked through the ancient ruins. With caution we step towards the unknown, but what is certain is that the further we go in, the darker these ancient ruins become.
After 5 minutes of searching for the way out, we finally found it, the core of the ancient ruins.
There we saw the figure of a large snake, but it did not emit fire. We walked carefully towards the snake so as not to wake it up.
"Stop there, O son of man; do not step any further than that."
A woman's voice appeared behind the two of us; the hair on the back of my neck stood up as I felt a terrifying presence.
Nervously I turned my body, and there I was, fascinated to see a woman dressed beautifully with lots of beads like diamonds all over her body.
'Am I tripping? I don't think I am, but who is this beautiful angel? The urge to propose to her increases. Is my mind broken? Is this love at first sight'?
I was amazed by the girl's appearance. The girl with a serious face then said, "Can we talk seriously, you son of man?"
Her words woke me up from my reverie; even so, her face was still beautiful. Damn, it seems like I'm really falling in love with this girl.
"Ah yeah, sorry, I was just spacing out. So what do you want to say"? I asked the girl, and I turned to Higura, whose gaze, for some reason, was still glued to the big black snake.
The girl said, "I just want to make sure that you don't destroy the forest or even burn it, which you almost did earlier."
At that moment I realized the reason why she attacked me and Higura was because I used my fire quirk, which had the potential to create a forest fire disaster.
With guilt I said, "Sorry if that threatens the survival of the forest, but you should know, the forest was full of those strange creatures, one of which was SkinWalker. It made both of us furious because SkinWalker used our friend's face to deceive us."
The girl nodded; she also said something: "Oh, that creature? I think that creature was deliberately created by someone for the ritual sacrifices. If some of the SkinWalkers are dead, then the ritual will succeed and bring out a horrifying entity into that place.
I was instantly speechless; if that was true, then we were all fucked up. I think during this relay run the luckiest one was Risu. Risu only had to complete the Pyraminx, while Gura and I had to face an entity with powers beyond reason.
"So, what should we do? There's no way I can stop the other students from killing SkinWalker. Ugh, thinking about it makes me even more frustrated."
The girl then came up to me and patted my shoulder. "Actually, there is another way to stop that entity, but I don't know if it will work. It's just that we need my sister's assistance there."
"And where is your older sister? Is she here too?" I asked the girl, but Higura smacked my head. He then whispered, "Hey, idiot, did you forget that her real form is a snake? So her sister is this black snake."
Ah, what Higura said is true; why didn't I think of it before? Well, what can I do? It seems like I really did fall in love at first sight.
The girl explained, "Actually, I'm in autumn because someone summoned me. She promised to restore the Amazon forest, which is starting to be destroyed by humans. We are both guardians of the forest. People call me and my older sister Boitata and Boiuna."
It struck me: if she said her place of origin was the Amazon, then are we in the Amazon?
"Wait, so we're on Amazon now?"
The girl innocently said, "Yes, didn't I tell you that you were going to Brazil?"
