Chapter 56 - 56.U.A Sport Festival: Mythical Rizz

We fucked up; we are in Brazil. How the fuck can I go back to the UA? Nervously I asked,

"Then how do we get back to U.A.? Moreover, how can we move from the U.A. to the Amazon?"

Boitata answered me, "Ah, that? That's easy. Do you know who called me to U.A.? She taught me a trick that I thought was really cool; it's called displacement magic. I studied this for 3 months."

I raised my eyebrows. "Displacement magic? What's that? What's the use of it?" I ask because the word displacement magic is very foreign; besides, we live in an era where people use quirks, not magic.

"Haisss, I forgot that humans today are not like they used to be. I remember that in the past I often guided children and travelers who got lost in the forest because of magical creatures, and most of the expeditions Whatever humans do, there is always one miracle worker in it a.k.a wizard."

Skeptically I asked again, "How long do you think it's been? 200 years? 2000 years? Maybe 4000 years?"

Boitata was silent; with an innocent face, she said, "I don't know. I have lived for a long time protecting the forest from fires with my older sister. It's a shame because the quirk you guys have makes exploring the Amazon Forest easier, and exploitation increases. My older sister tried to stop them, but our powers were not enough. Maybe you think, am I not strong enough? Now...yes, but in the last few years, no. The reason is because that woman called me to U.A. and gave me a crystal stone that has a lot of powerful energy; we call it True Ether. I don't know how she created that, but crystallized True Ether is just unbelievable."

I caught a new vocabulary, true ether? What is that? I curiously asked, "What is true ether, and how much energy does it have compared to a nuclear battery?"

Boitata nodded, and with a sweet smile she said, "Ah, I forgot you are a modern human. So, True Ether is an energy that existed in the era of the Gods when it was still active on earth, but one day the True Ether stopped regenerating, maybe because Mother Earth was tired or Mother Earth was asleep, but what is certain is that with no energy to sustain us, most of us died. Leaving those who hibernate waiting for Mother Earth to awaken from her sleep "

"Huh, then how have you been still alive until now? If the true ether was cut off long ago, how can you and your older sister actively guard this forest?"

Boitata nodded again; this time his face was more serious. "I don't know, but it seems like if I receive gratitude from the person I helped or even someone gives me an offering as a token of appreciation, I can maintain my original form far longer than usual , and that's how we've been trying to race against time. We had to protect this forest; after all, human greed knows no bounds."

I was silent for a moment, and suddenly Higura blurted out, "Then what happened to your older sister? I saw she was badly injured. Is this because of forest exploitation?"

Boitata nodded, her face looking sad and her eyes expressing disappointment. "Yes, my older sister, the guardian of the River, was attacked when she warned the humans, If humans continue to exploit forests and the natural resources within them, they will experience something that humans have never experienced before."

"Hmmm, Ah! I remember, so that's the reason. I saw on the news that the heroes who were patrolling the Amazon forest met a big black snake, and they tried to catch it, but the snake managed to escape with severe injuries."

When I said that, Boitata's face looked disappointed and angry, and I could feel her hatred towards those heroes.

Seeing her like that made my heart heavy. Without realizing it, I walked over to her and hugged her, then I said,.

"Everything will be better. I think I know who called you to U.A. She's my friend's older sister. I'm sure I can convince her to help."

Boitata looked into my eyes; I also looked into her eyes, beautiful eyes. I think the fact that she is a big fire snake does not shake my love for her; in fact, I am more convinced that my love is true.

"Boitata...I..."

"Cough!"

Higura ruined the atmosphere created by the two of us, damn you, Higura! Wait for you later, I'll smash your head!

After the atmosphere was ruined, Boitata immediately released herself from my embrace; with a slightly flushed face, she turned her body around.

"Sorry to ruin your moment, but this black snake moved just now. I don't know what happened, but when I tried to scan this forest by taking over the roots around this snake... no, your sister, move a little."

I saw Boitata was shocked to hear that because she realizes something: Higura has a quirk that can strengthen plant roots, allowing them to survive in extreme conditions.

It's natural that Boiuna can move her body a little, because Higura helps restore plant roots in the Amazon.

Which means helping the survival of the forest, and this allows Boiuna to regain some of her strength.

'Oh, I see . Good job, Higura'!

Higura then said, "Then, what should I do? Should I help repair the ecosystem of plant roots in the Amazon? I don't know when it will be finished."

I saw Boitata chuckle. He then said, "No, actually the reason I brought the True Ether Crystal here was to speed up Boiuna's healing process, but it seems there is a faster way."

Shortly after saying that, Boitata made a diagram on the ground. The diagram surrounded Higura. I looked at it strangely. Maybe Higura will be sacrificed!

I like to sacrifice my rook in chess, but this is not chess, bro. I panicked and said, "You are not starting a ritual to sacrifice my friend, are you? Even though you are beautiful, cute, and innocent, and I want to have a family with you, if you are like that, I have no other choice but to defeat you."

I put on a serious face, but Boitata just giggled. "What's so funny? I think what I said was right." Boitata now laughed. "Pfft, it's not like that, silly. I didn't sacrifice your friend but made a diagram to transfer energy from this crystal to your friend so he can reach the advanced stage. If he reaches the advanced stage of using his quirk, I'm sure he can easily restore damaged trees. I even feel like he can recreate the Amazon forest."

Ah, so I misunderstood. So embarrassed... Hehe, fuck! I acted embarrassingly in front of my crush.

Shortly after that I saw the diagram that Boitata had drawn was finished, then she placed the crystal on the diagram, and suddenly the diagram shone.

Higura's body lights up, his quirk is out of control, and his body, which was previously human, changes to resemble wood. Higura fell to his knees. I, who saw this, couldn't bear it and wanted to help, but Boitata stopped me. She then told Higura what he should do.

"Focus your mind to feel the roots around you, use your power to communicate with the plants, and use your power to repair the forest."

I saw Higura nod and do as Boitata said. I curiously looked up; there was a hole big enough for me to go through there. Boitata realized what I wanted to do. I then saw her smile and snap her fingers, and a snake's tail appeared from below, lifting me up to see the Amazon forest.

Damn it, too high. This is approximately 100 meters high, but I believe she won't let me go so I can enjoy this view.

"Wow, what a heart-warming view. Forests should be protected, not exploited. Besides, many people have unique quirks from wood to other minerals; why not employ them? Instead of exploiting the forest."

While looking around, I realized that there was a part of the forest in the outermost part that had been converted into a golf course. But suddenly shady trees appeared there. I knew who did it. Smiling, I shouted.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET, SUCKER!! TAKE FROM NATURE WITHOUT GIVING ANYTHING IN RETURN, YOU THINK THIS FOREST BELONGS TO YOUR ANCESTORS, FUCK YOU CAPITALISM!"

After shouting what I wanted to shout, Boitata then standing beside me, With her snake body, she stood beside me ,then said . "Isn't it beautiful, the forest where the ecosystem is? Far from modern, it feels like home."

Hearing Boitata's words, I looked at her. "Her eyes are beautiful. I think it's what a natural beauty that can't be matched by anything."

Accidentally thinking out loud, Boitata blushed hearing it. With a blushing and shy face, Boitata threw me far into the Amazon forest.

"Yup, I'm dead. Note to myself: don't compliment a girl while thinking out loud."

Even so, I was saved by Boitata. It seems like my road to conquering this snake of my dreams is still a long journey to go.
