"What's happening?"
"The world… the end of the world!"
"This universe is about to be destroyed!"
As rifts appeared in the sky, sucking in matter and air, both the native inhabitants of this world and the Spider-Men from other universes turned pale with fear, crying out in horror.
Even Captain Universe Spider-Man, who was battling Solus in the upper atmosphere, suddenly looked grim.
Compared to the others, he, having fused with the power of Captain Universe, could sense the changes in this world more profoundly.
At the first moment, he felt that this world had lost its "future"!
At the second moment, he felt that this world had lost its "past"!
And at the third moment, what was lost was this world's "present"!
Past, present, and future—the fate of this world had been severed!
Everything about it was about to vanish from the Omniversal reality!
Even Captain Universe Spider-Man himself was affected.
After all, the power of Captain Universe originated from the Enigma Force—one of the four abstract entities of the universe, a Guardian of Eternity, on par with the Heralds of Galactus.
In other words, it was one of the fundamental laws of the universe itself.
That was why it could grant those it chose immense power and countless abilities.
But now, as the universe was being destroyed, it—being one of its fundamental laws—was among the first to be affected, making it the most sensitive to the change.
At that moment, it even followed the trail of destruction and "saw" the attacker.
The Master Weaver!
"I will never allow my world to be destroyed!" Captain Universe Spider-Man roared, as a surge of boundless cosmic energy flooded into his body. A massive energy blast erupted, sending Solus hurtling deep into the void of space.
Without a moment's pause, Captain Universe Spider-Man dashed toward Peter.
Midair, he extracted a mysterious energy from within his body. "I'm counting on you! Right now, only you can help him! And only he… can save my world!"
Whoosh—
The mysterious energy did not respond. It simply turned into a streak of light and plunged into Peter's body.
At this moment, Peter was making his last desperate effort.
He was multitasking on three fronts.
On one hand, he was fending off Karn's attacks.
On the other, he was opening portals throughout the city, allowing Champak, Gwen, and the others to evacuate civilians to Earth-928.
At the same time, he was trying to establish a connection with the Great Web of Life and Destiny.
Logically speaking, as an Omniversal artifact, the Great Web should not stand idly by while the Master Weaver deliberately destroyed the fate of other universes.
This was a blatant violation of the original design set by Gaia, Neith, and the other creator gods.
Surely, there had to be some kind of fail-safe left behind, right?
Peter was doing his best to find it.
Unfortunately, whether it was because the Master Weaver had too much control over the Web or because Peter's mastery was too weak, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find a single opening to exploit.
Perhaps, just like in his original timeline, he would need to come into direct contact with the Great Web to have any real chance.
A trace of frustration surfaced in Peter's heart.
Though, at the very least, his own life was not in danger.
Although the Master Weaver was fixated on him, relentlessly locking him down and preventing him from leaving this universe,
In reality, if he wanted to, he could sever his connection with this body at any time and return to the "future"—his original timeline.
But if he did that, all the effort he had put in until now would have been in vain!
He refused to accept that!
Moreover, after realizing the Master Weaver's sinister intentions, he swore to stop him!
He couldn't stand by and watch this guy continue sacrificing Spider Totems just to cleanse his own family's sins and give them a fresh start.
Why should their past crimes simply be wiped away?
Not a chance!
Clenching his teeth, Peter persisted. He would never give up until the very last moment!
Just then, a mysterious force descended from the sky and entered his body.
At that moment, he felt an overwhelming surge of power!
First, he sensed the source of this power.
In a mysterious parallel future, Earth had been destroyed. Humanity had escaped into space, wandering the cosmos and gradually evolving into different species.
These strange new races eventually became aware of each other's existence, and in their struggle to claim dominance, they went to war.
As they fought fiercely, a humanoid army from the depths of the universe arrived, crushing several remnants of the human species.
In this moment of crisis, a prince from a race called Ithaka, known as the "Pathfinder," stepped forward. Following his father's instructions, he ventured into a sacred sanctuary known as the Supreme Resting Place, where he discovered the legendary blade—the Starblade.
At the cost of his eyesight, he drew the sword.
And this sword, in truth, was the enigmatic force itself.
Thus, he naturally became the first true Captain Universe.
Later, he defeated the humanoid army and battled the young demon Mephistos, the Vortex Demon, and the Demon King Chaos.
During these battles, he realized that the only way to ensure his people's eternal safety was to sacrifice himself to the enigmatic force—an act that would cost him his life.
So, he transported his people to a microscopic dimension, while he merged with the enigmatic force.
From then on, the Pathfinder became an embodiment of the enigmatic force—known as the Time Traveler.
Billions of years later, a man named Baron Kaza traveled through the Microverse and arrived in the Earth-616 universe. He possessed a mad scientist named Prometheus, attempting to invade the real Earth.
However, his plan was discovered by the enigmatic force, which then possessed a group of individuals, defeated him, and sent Baron Kaza back to the Microverse.
At this moment, the enigmatic force realized that instead of binding itself to a single individual for a long time—making them powerful but requiring constant searching for crises to resolve—it would be more efficient to let its power autonomously seek out suitable hosts and quickly bind to them.
Thus, it created an energy entity named Uni-Power.
Uni-Power roams freely across the universe, and when a major crisis arises, it possesses someone with a pure heart, transforming them into Captain Universe to uphold justice.
Once the crisis is over, it departs from the host, continuing its search for the next crisis and the next host.
When Uni-Power possesses someone, it significantly amplifies their attributes such as endurance and agility—at a minimum of 50 times and a maximum of 7,500 times.
This means that if Spider-Man were to gain this power, his raw strength alone would range from 1,000 to 150,000 tons!
A single punch with 150,000 tons of force?
That's beyond a nuclear explosion punch!
In addition, the host gains abilities such as energy blasts, object manipulation, molecular control, flight, and more.
And at this very moment, Peter felt this miraculous power surging through him!
