A knock came at the door.
"Knock knock, can I come in?" Lily's voice followed, light and hesitant.
"Come in," Dylan called without looking up.
Lily stepped in slowly, her eyes flicking between Dylan and Olivia before settling on her cousin. She clasped her hands nervously.
"Cousin, please… um, would Allan Penn be attending the charity gala?"
Dylan paused, adjusting the cufflinks on his shirt. He glanced at her through the mirror. "Why do you ask?"
Lily shifted a bit, trying to sound casual. "Just curious. You know you'll be stuck with Olivia all night, so I figured I might as well tag along with someone too. Balance the energy."
Dylan turned fully now, raising a brow. "Ah. And that someone just happens to be Allan, my personal assistant, who, by the way, has a loving family."
Olivia let out a quiet laugh. "Come on, Dylan. We know a single man when we see one."
Lily shrugged, unbothered. "So?"
