"Could you help me answer the call?" Dylan asked softly, nodding toward the phone on the bedside table.
Olivia stretched over, picking it up and glancing at the screen. "Allan. Want to take it?"
"Yeah, sure. Put him on."
She swiped to answer and handed it to him.
"I sure hope you're doing well," Allan said briskly. "Listen, there's a charity gala tonight. I know it's a bit sudden, but showing up could do wonders, especially since you need investors for your new real estate program."
Dylan leaned back against the headboard. "And if I can't make it?"
"I'm not entertaining that option," Allan said with a chuckle. "You're going. Bring Olivia with you. Charm a few people."
Dylan raised a brow. "Wow. That almost sounded like a command. Who made you boss?"
From the other end, Allan laughed. "Do well to attend, sir." Then the line went dead.
He lowered the phone and turned to Olivia. "So... what do you think about attending a charity gala tonight?"
