Luozi gently tousled her hair with a smile in his eyes that kept Su Nian guessing about his thoughts. "If you can find happiness, I'd be more than happy for you, Vivian. There's no need to be on guard with me; I'd never hurt you."
Su Nian inwardly smirked. He had stealthily brought her across the ocean, and yet he didn't want her to be on guard? Did he take her for a fool?
"Remember, I said if you can find happiness, I won't disturb it. But do you think that Zheng Haoyu can give you that happiness?" Luozi reclined, mirroring her pose on the couch, his eyes brewing an unreadable emotion.
Su Nian flashed a faint smile. The two looked like foxes negotiating at a table, neither willing to make the first move, nor revealing their hands. "I think I am happy. At least, I am now."
Luozi chuckled and shook his head, "Vivian, lying is naughty, you know."
"Luozi!" Su Nian exclaimed in embarrassment. This was the first time in her life she had been called naughty!
