Luozi gently tousled her hair with a smile in his eyes that kept Su Nian guessing about his thoughts. "If you can find happiness, I'd be more than happy for you, Vivian. There's no need to be on guard with me; I'd never hurt you."

Su Nian flashed a faint smile. The two looked like foxes negotiating at a table, neither willing to make the first move, nor revealing their hands. "I think I am happy. At least, I am now."
