Luoz did not appear to notice her change of tone, and he nodded. "You did the right thing. It's often more efficient and effective to solve these matters by yourself rather than handing them over to the police."
Relieved that he hadn't noticed her unease, Su Nian thought that if he had been able to get her out of the Su Family, perhaps he could also infiltrate Zheng Haoyu's sphere. As long as Zheng Haoyu knew nothing, she had to protect him.
She feigned nonchalance and replied, "Hmm, I understand."
"Let's go," Luoz said warmly, holding her with one hand and gesturing her forward with the other, though she wasn't sure if his heart was as calm as he made it out to be.
After their conversation, Su Nian was wary of speaking, worried that she might fall into a trap, and so remained tight-lipped.
They walked around the castle for about ten minutes before Luoz stopped in front of two doors. He stepped back slightly and said to Su Nian, "Take a look."
