When that happened a few centuries ago, the world did not end, despite the haze of dread that fell upon the world. Instead, the world changed, and with that, a new age came. The wars that had been sporadic reached a peak, before suddenly stopping with the reshuffle that the situation caused. It had been either that, or the end of the world coming not from the world itself, but brought about by its inhabitants.
The Federation, the light of the new age. Since the calendar changed, many things happened, and the world kept moving, until it trembled again. It was winter, but the precedent from centuries ago had not made people over confident, and sweat, something the cold should have made difficult to produce, suddenly broke a record of production volume in maybe a millennium.
