Kilometers in the sky, the small ship that had arrived on Earth not long ago was floating, its engines shining with soft lights. The soft gleam of an energy shield was reflecting the rays of light, making the vessel's battered state less conspicuous.
Standing by the window on the bridge, the female alien inside the ship had an ashen face as she looked outside. Her face would have looked grey, if not for her own skin already sporting much of said color. Her pupils were trembling as she looked at the geyser of gigantic proportions below, even as she did her best to suppress her reaction. All her arrogance had been tamed and suppressed, pressed down by the fear she had never felt in all her more than two decades of life.
