For the next few weeks, Freia buried herself deep within her books. Everywhere that she went, she could be found with her books. While everyone was out having fun, she would immerse herself in the art of potions. That was her day time routine. When night came, she would dive deep into experimenting on all the potions. Poor Fur Ball ended up being her unwilling guinea pig. And by some miraculous hit and misses, Fur Ball ended up levelling up quite a bit.
Freia smiled gleefully as she petted her mystical beast and was utmost pleased with the results from her labour.
"Why is Ugly with her book again? Should we disturb her?" the loudest girl from Celia's gang suggested just as Celia glanced up from her book. She was not even a tiny bit interested in her step sister's life. Her mind was on someone else.
"I can't believe they're offering her a spot in the debutante ball. What for? She'll only embarrass the academy," another girl said and they all agreed within the group.
"I'm sure Celia will come out top in every category. And no prizes for who's going to be top, from the bottom," all the girls laughed in their high girlish laughters while Celia closed her book. "I'm trying to focus here," she murmured icily and the girls fell silent obediently. Her mind wandered and she wondered if "He" will be there...
