Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

Andrew leaned lazily on the sofa, not even lifting his eyelids, and spoke in a flat tone as calm as still water: "Assistant Ryan, you should go back."

This short sentence echoed in the quiet living room but hit Assistant Ryan's heart like a heavy hammer.

Hearing this, Assistant Ryan froze as if under a paralysis spell, stunned for a moment.

A complex mix of emotions flashed in his eyes — confusion, worry, and an indescribable unease.

He couldn't help but glance at the woman behind him. Deep down, he really didn't want his boss to do anything that would betray Katherine.

But he couldn't say anything now.

"Oh, boss, then I'll leave." Assistant Ryan's voice was dry.

After speaking, he slowly turned and walked away, each step heavy, leaving the living room filled with a tense atmosphere.

After Assistant Ryan left, the woman stood alone in the large living room, suddenly feeling like she was in a barren desert. The luxurious decorations around her brought no sense of security.

She felt helpless, unsure how to face this mysterious man in front of her.

Her gaze wandered on Andrew, trying to find a clue in his expression, but his cold face was like an impenetrable wall.

Andrew glanced at her briefly, his eyes cold as a blade cutting across her body.

Then, without any emotion, he said, "Go inside and take a shower."

His words were brief and clear, making the woman's heart suddenly jump.

Startled as if waking from a dream, she paused for a moment before answering, "Oh… okay."

Her reply was a little flustered, her voice mixed with nervousness and hope.

She walked forward with hesitant steps, feeling her heartbeat speeding up.

When she passed by Andrew, she smelled his unique scent—a mix of expensive cologne and masculine pheromones—which made her cheeks flush slightly.

She couldn't help but smile. To her, it felt like fate was favoring her.

After tonight, everything would change.

But beneath this calm surface, Andrew's heart was like a stormy sea.

When he heard the bathroom door close, his brows furrowed deeply, and pain and frustration flashed in his eyes.

He had thought he could easily control the situation, using this woman to prove that his feelings for Katherine were not special.

But now, his heart felt like an invisible hand was tightly gripping it.

He thought, "I will try later. I can do this."

Inside the bathroom, the woman quickly finished her shower, every movement filled with urgency and hope.

Her eyes scanned the shelf and finally landed on a bathrobe. She took it, gently put it on, tied the belt, wrapping herself in its softness.

Then she took out a bottle of perfume from her bag, carefully chosen because she believed it had a unique charm.

She sprayed some on herself, the fragrance spreading in the small space. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, thinking quietly: He should like it.

After doing all this, she opened the bathroom door, walking out with graceful steps, each step confident and charming.

Her eyes sparkled with hope, as if she already saw Andrew attracted to her.

But as she got closer, Andrew's frown deepened even more.

His eyes showed a complicated emotion—disgust, irritation, and a bit of anger toward himself.

But the woman was completely lost in her own fantasy, not noticing Andrew's displeasure at all.

In her mind, there was only one thought: to get closer to him quickly and make him fall under her charm.

She came over and slowly sat down, a charming smile curling on her lips.

Then she began to use the skills she had learned from past experience to please men.

Her eyes became more seductive, and her body leaned slightly toward Andrew, trying to move him with her softness and allure.

When her hand slowly reached toward his chest and was about to touch him, a strong hand suddenly grabbed her wrist tightly.

The force was so strong that pain shot through her wrist immediately.

The woman looked confused.

She stared at him painfully, tears even forming in her eyes. "Sir, please... be gentle."

She tried to pull her wrist free but found it impossible to move his grip.

At this moment, the smell of her perfume grew stronger because of her nervousness and struggle, but to Andrew, that once-pleasant scent became unbearably sharp.

Andrew's anger suddenly flared. He stood up and forcefully threw the woman to the ground.

She fell heavily, her eyes full of fear and confusion.

"Take your things and leave," Andrew's voice was like a cold wind echoing in the living room, full of undeniable authority.

The woman looked at him in disbelief. She could not believe things had turned out this way.

"Did I... do something wrong?" Her voice was shaky, almost crying. "I can do whatever you want. Please keep me."

Hearing this, Andrew's anger grew even stronger.

Katherine would never say such things to him.

She would never show weakness in front of him.

"I said leave now. Say one more word, and don't blame me if you never walk out that door." His words cut off her last hope like a sharp sword.

The woman was scared by his look. She knew he was not joking.

She quickly said, "Okay, okay, I'm leaving."

She hurried to her feet, panicked, and ran to the bathroom to grab her clothes and rush outside.

Assistant Ryan had been waiting outside and had not left.

He sat in the car, frowning deeply, his face full of worry.

Boss, please don't do anything foolish!

He prayed silently.

If the boss made a mistake tonight that could not be fixed, then there really would be no chance between him and Dr. Katherine.

Just as he was feeling anxious, he saw the woman run out of the villa as if scared by something.

Seeing this, Assistant Ryan's eyes lit up. He did not know what had happened, but at least things did not seem to be going in the worst direction.
