The mountain winds howled as the group continued their journey toward the Temple of Origin, where ancient scrolls were said to hold the key to defeating the Ghost God. Yuexin, walking slightly behind the others, was lost in thought. Her power still hadn't fully awakened like the others, and the pressure weighed heavily on her.
Suddenly, a chilling mist began to rise from the forest ahead.
Haoran raised a hand. "Stay alert. Something is watching us."
Yuexin felt it too — the energy of shadow spirits lurking nearby. Before anyone could react, dark tendrils shot out from the trees, dragging Liang Feng into the fog.
"Feng!" shouted Yuexin, dashing forward, her moonlight aura glowing faintly.
But feng's acted first, unsheathing his sword that burned with azure light. His power cut through the fog, creating a safe path.
Within the shadows, a figure appeared — a corrupted spirit beast with glowing crimson eyes. It growled, whispering, "Give me the girl with the moon heart…"
Yuexin's legs trembled. For a moment, she doubted herself. Why was the enemy always after her? But then — a warm hand grasped hers.
Haoran, calm and steady, whispered, "Don't let fear silence your light. I'll stand beside you, always."
Her eyes widened. Power sparked. A soft moonlight burst from her hands, forming a luminous bow. She aimed it at the spirit, and together with Haoran's thunderstrike, they shattered the darkness.
As silence returned, the group looked around — shaken, but more united than ever.
But far above, in the shadows of the clouds, a silhouette with crimson eyes watched them. The Ghost God had taken notice.
