As fate would have it, the night of Amavasya (the new moon) arrived. From early evening, an eerie tension gripped the atmosphere at Jadav Shah's house. Aryan's mother, younger brother, and grandmother were all present there, hoping for his arrival. But a deep sense of fear lurked within them—because Aryan hadn't shown up yet.
Time ticked by. It was already 10 PM, and there was still no sign of Aryan. His family started calling his friends, but their response was unsettling—Aryan had left for the Cachar Club after tuition, and they hadn't heard from him since. Upon inquiring at the Cachar Club, they were told Aryan had left around 9 PM. After that, no one had any contact with him. Even his phone had been unreachable for hours.
Calls kept going out. Desperation grew. It was now 11:30 PM.
Suddenly, a gust of violent wind swept through the house. The doors and windows of the main room where everyone was gathered began to slam open and shut in the wind's fury. Then someone exclaimed—
"Look! What's that in the sky?"
Everyone turned their gaze upward.
What they saw shook them to their core—an entire legion of ghostly spirits descending toward the house. Panic set in. People rushed to bolt the doors and windows. But the spirits let out a terrifying wail, and in an instant, the glass windows shattered.
One by one, the spirits began pouring in through the broken panes. Just as they were about to enter, a powerful beam of light shot from the rooftop and collided directly with the horde of spirits, pushing them far back.
The blinding beam then bounced off and crashed into the main hall through the ceiling, where it slowly faded. As the light disappeared, the silhouette of a person began to emerge. Gasps filled the room.
"Aryan!" they cried in unison.
Yes, it was Aryan—who had been silently watching everything from the rooftop, awaiting the right moment. Hope returned to everyone's hearts the instant they saw him.
Aryan, with his firm and calm voice, said:
"There's no time for discussion. Everyone—tie this thread on your wrists."
He threw a bundle of sacred threads toward the group. One by one, they tied them around their wrists.
Just then, the spirits returned—but this time, they launched a direct assault. They entered the main hall and then vanished from sight.
Govinda Mama asked in fear:
"Aryan, what just happened? Where did the spirits go?"
Aryan replied,
"Nowhere. They're still here. You just can't see them."
Jadav Mama, visibly shaking, pleaded:
"Aryan, what do I do now? I don't want to be possessed again!"
Aryan placed a hand on his shoulder and said firmly:
"Don't worry. I'm here now. But the spirits… they're waiting for midnight. That's when their power will multiply."
"Aryan, do something!" Govinda Mama pleaded again.
"Let the clock strike twelve," Aryan replied, his voice steady.
"What??" Jadav Mama exclaimed.
Aryan stood calmly in the center of the hall, scanning every corner with his eyes. As the clock hit midnight, the ghostly spirits began to materialize—eleven of them in total—encircling the hall from all directions. Together, they lunged at Aryan in a synchronized attack.
But just as they reached him, Aryan vanished, reappearing instantly on the other side of the room.
This time, he held a sword in his hand—a weapon whose power was beyond comprehension.
(This was the very sword Aryan had retrieved in Mumbai under the guidance of his master.)
One spirit darted toward him, but with a single slash of the sword, it was obliterated.
Infuriated, the remaining spirits unleashed a concentrated beam of dark energy. Aryan raised his sword and deflected it with ease. Then, in a flash, he dove into the midst of the spirits, dodging their every attack.
Nine spirits encircled him, trying to trap him. But before they could strike, Aryan leapt into the air and performed a spinning slash, releasing a wave of wind energy that struck every spirit in the circle.
In an instant, they were all annihilated.
Only one spirit remained—the same entity that had once possessed Jadav Mama. Terrified by Aryan's might and the destruction of its kin, it fled and tried to hide.
As the family rushed forward to celebrate and embrace Aryan, the surviving spirit tried to escape quietly.
But just as it neared the door, a brilliant figure in the form of a glowing eagle swooped down from the sky and struck it. The light from the eagle wrapped around the spirit, imprisoning it with radiant chains.
All eyes turned to the glowing eagle. Slowly, its form began to fade—and from within the light, the face of a beautiful young woman emerged.
Who is this mysterious girl?
Is she Aryan's new ally… or a powerful enemy in disguise?
What will Aryan do next?
