The world worshipped quirks.
They lit up the sky like fireworks—men with fire, women with water, children who could fly before they could even spell. And then there was Rayan, age four, sitting quietly on a creaking exam table with too-big shoes and a question burning in his eyes.
His mother held his hand tightly, her polished nails digging into her palm as the doctor looked over the chart. The room was clean. Too clean. Sterile, like the silence before a storm.
> Doctor: "I'm sorry... there's no detectable quirk factor. He's quirkless."
Time froze.
It didn't mean anything to Rayan then—not really. But the weight in the air pressed down on his small shoulders like a blanket soaked in water.
His mother smiled too fast, too bright.
> Mother: "That's... alright. He'll still do something great. Right, sweetheart?"
Rayan didn't answer. He only nodded, but his eyes were on the wall—on the poster of All Might, fist raised, bright grin shining through torn clouds.

Blood on the pavement.
Rayan's knees stung. His lip was split. The other kids ran off, laughing.
> Kid with Scales: "What're you gonna do, huh? Write us an essay, freak?"
> Other Kid: "Why're you even in hero school prep, quirkless trash?"
He sat there for a while, staring at the clouds, tasting metal in his mouth. His fists clenched, but not out of anger. Out of desperation. Want. Hunger.
> Why wasn't I born like them?
That night, he didn't cry. He opened his notebook and began drawing—schematics of machines, diagrams of support gear. If he couldn't be a hero with power, maybe he could build one.

It wasn't a dream.
It felt... louder.
He stood on a shoreline of stars, waves of silver energy rippling beneath his bare feet. In the sky: constellations that pulsed like hearts.
And a symbol, glowing in the air before him—a circle broken into four crescents, surrounding a diamond-shaped eye.
Then a voice.
> Voice: "You are not powerless. You are sleeping."
> Rayan: "Who are you?"
> Voice: "Ari. A system born from the one who created you. From him. From your origin."
> Rayan: "I don't understand..."
> Ari: "You will. When the time is right, your body will remember. Your soul is a fragment. A sliver of something that once walked beyond space."
Rayan woke up in a cold sweat. The mark was burned faintly onto his palm—too faint to be seen. But he could feel it.

He was on the rooftop again, watching the stars. It had become a habit—a ritual. Even if he never admitted it, he waited. Every night.
Then it happened.
A sudden gust of wind. No source.
His palm pulsed with light. The symbol from his dream appeared, glowing faintly.

[USER: RAYAN - MALE FRAGMENT OF NIVAAAN]
[STATUS: REINCARNATED – POWER LOCKED – QUIRKLESS]

> Ari (softly):
"We begin now, Rayan. From this world... the journey starts."
He staggered back, breath shallow.
> Rayan: "This… this is real?!"
> Ari: "Yes. You are one of many. Fragments. Souls. Born to live. To grow. And when the time comes—connect."
> Rayan: "Who is Nivaan?"
> Ari: "…You are. Or at least, a piece of what he once was."
