Lunch udon, the side dishes are delicious.
But as a student, Sendoh knows the focus isn't on lunch.
The teaching staff at Koudo Ikusei High School is very strong. Teachers are serious in class, don't ask questions. The first month has behavioral assessment, so teachers let students act, even though they know.
But the textbooks have changed. Updated versions, difficulty increased.
Different from regular schools, which study textbook material in class, then work on text exercises. Here, mastering the material and text exercises isn't enough for exams.
'Must buy practice problems myself,' thought Sendoh. 'Increase difficulty from 1 to 3, then take the exam.'
At Koudo Ikusei High School, teaching materials include difficult books and exercises. Master the exercises, directly reach difficulty 3.
Sendoh, who is used to studying, notices this.
Now, Sendoh stands in the second-year area.
Before going to the Student Union, he asks seniors first.
He also confirms the evaluation scores from two small blackboards in Ryuuen's photo.
Student accommodations differ by class, students of the same class live in one dormitory building.
Students from three grades are separated.
Teaching areas are also separate.
The school has spacious rooms, but Sendoh thinks this reduces communication between grades.
'If first-year students know seniors from the beginning, behavioral assessment of new students will be disrupted,' thought Sendoh.
New students easily get information from seniors.
The longer in school, seniors can defeat juniors with information gaps.
This is about fairness, and not good for the school. The school provides resources not for certain groups, but to train all classes.
'But from a student's perspective, lower classes are just trash for upper classes,' thought Sendoh.
Limited living expenses are utilized more.
Sad.
Sendoh remembers the voice recorder at the electronics store yesterday, more expensive than a laptop.
'This school doesn't just educate pious children,' thought Sendoh.
Recorders help hear teacher explanations, but also record others' words or actions, anytime, anywhere.
Phones have recording functions, but not as flexible as recorders.
'Can recordings gather intelligence?' thought Sendoh.
On the first day, the narrator said Ryuuen was like a tyrant, using dirty tricks to advance classes.
But Ryuuen's classmates weren't expelled.
'The school might train people who achieve goals smoothly,' thought Sendoh.
People like that are popular in the real world.
Schools develop "talents" for society.
Sendoh stands in front of a small blackboard in the second-year area.
A: 1210
B: 780
C: 430
D: 200
Exactly the same as Ryuuen's photo. Second-year class evaluation scores.
Class A rose from the original Class B, overthrew Class B, excelling by more than 400 points.
But after a year, the highest score is only 1210. Special exams aren't easy.
"Eh, senior?"
A questioning voice from behind.
Senior?
Sendoh turns, puzzled.
A beautiful girl approaches.
Beautiful face, captivating body. Smooth long blonde hair, sweet confident smile, making people fascinated.
Although Sendoh has met other beautiful girls, he's still interested.
This girl is very charming.
'This school is amazing,' thought Sendoh.
In middle school, Sendoh focused on studying, but knew beautiful girls were rare. From the charming Sakayanagi-san, elegant Shiina-san, Kushida-san who is like an angel in the elevator, to the student council president, Horikita Manabu. They're rare outside.
Now there's one more.
Though impressed, Sendoh realizes this girl is a first-year student.
The dark circles under his eyes make him look like a senior.
"What's up?" asked Sendoh. "This isn't a place for lower class students."
"Eh, that..."
The energetic girl touches her head, embarrassed. "I'm a new student, registered yesterday. Ichinose Honami."
"I received 100,000 yen living expenses. Even though school just started, everyone needs to buy necessities."
"But I feel uncomfortable, so I'm looking at the senior class conditions."
"I'm not sure the school always gives 100,000 yen every month."
She realizes the school is strange, then investigates seniors.
Different from students who casually accept school gifts.
"Which first-year class are you from?" asked Sendoh.
"Class one, Class B," answered Ichinose Honami. "Eh, Senior, what does this small blackboard mean?"
She shows a curious expression.
