[Asura], [Valkyrie], [Apostle of Disaster].
Among these three special professions, Minori's initial focus was on the [Apostle of Disaster].
Mare was a dark elf—a subspecies of humanoid—and notably, he had no racial classes, only a complete structure of level 100 job classes. That fact alone made the Apostle of Disaster particularly intriguing, because it implied there were no racial prerequisites to acquire it.
Minori's expression was calm, but his eyes burned with quiet excitement. As someone who remembered the future, he knew far more than the average denizen of this world. With the error tolerance granted by the Genius profession, even if he had to burn through one or two mid-level job slots, he could probably work out the prerequisites for this rare class.
There were two other special professions to consider.
The first was [Asura], a profession known to be used by Cocytus.
Minori had studied Cocytus's job build in the past. Based on the limited information available from his status table, [Asura] didn't seem to be directly connected to his other job classes. That led to the conclusion that it was likely obtained through some special prop or event-based trigger.
The second was [Valkyrie].
In both the anime and the light novels, only two characters were known to hold this class: Shalltear Bloodfallen and Zesshi Zetsumei.
Both were female.
Minori had originally dismissed it due to the apparent gender restriction, but with his recent acquisition of the [Priestess] class—a female-exclusive basic profession—things had changed. His Player ability seemed to override some of the usual limitations of the YGGDRASIL system, allowing him to choose female-only jobs despite being male.
That meant he might be able to aim for [Valkyrie] after all.
"Shalltear's build gives more clues than Mare's," Minori muttered, crouching and beginning to scratch diagrams into the dirt. "There's more data to work with."
Shalltear's known build from the novels was:
Race Levels: 20
Job Levels: 80
And among her displayed jobs were:
[Valkyrie/Lance] 5Lv
[Curse Knight] 5Lv
[Priest] 10Lv
In addition to those, the novels mentioned two more high-tier jobs:
[Bloodthirster] — known for its unique ability Blood Pool, showcased during her battle with Ainz.
[Curse Mage] — a class associated with madness upon contact with blood.
Minori frowned, eyes narrowing.
"Negative effects... strong tradeoffs, typical of high-level classes."
He began laying out a mathematical structure, his science-minded thinking kicking into full gear.
Assuming two high-level job trees:
Basic Warrior (Unknown) 15Lv → Intermediate Warrior (Unknown) 10Lv → Curse Knight 5Lv
Basic Caster (Unknown) 15Lv → Intermediate Caster (Unknown) 10Lv → Curse Mage 5Lv
That would be 30Lv + 30Lv = 60Lv
Add [Valkyrie] 5Lv, [Bloodthirster] 5Lv, and [Priest] 10Lv, and it reached a perfect total of 80 job levels.
It all aligned.
The [Bloodthirster] class, he reasoned, must be a racial-specific class for vampires—explaining why Shalltear could take it.
The remaining common denominator between Shalltear and Zesshi was [Priest].
Zesshi's structure was more chaotic, composed of:
Warrior-based classes (Warrior, Berserker, Expert Warrior, Weapon Expert)
Faith caster classes (Priest, Senior Priest, Inquisitor)
Assassin classes (Thief, Assassin, Executioner)
And a unique degraded version: [Low-tier Valkyrie]
Minori tapped a finger against his lips.
Zesshi was half-elf, born of a godkin and a powerful spellcaster. Her unique nature likely bypassed the usual restrictions. But the [Low-tier Valkyrie] in her case was clearly a degraded form, the result of not fully meeting the original job's requirements.
Only one thing stood out:
Both Valkyrie holders had Priest levels.
And Shalltear, being undead, should never have had access to a holy-aligned class like [Priest]—unless it was necessary for something else.
Minori's eyes gleamed.
"It's a requirement," he whispered. "A condition."
So to unlock [Valkyrie], one needed:
Female-only access (which his system bypassed)
The [Priest] job
The high-tier warrior class [Curse Knight]
A warrior class stained by blasphemy—a perfect thematic fit.
Minori stood up, wiping the dirt diagrams clean with the heel of his boot.
"Just in case anyone understands Japanese."
He smirked. Old habits died hard.
"According to YGGDRASIL mechanics, [Curse Knight] requires reaching level 60 and a full warrior tree."
But in this world, people could acquire jobs by learning prerequisite skills. Meaning—
He didn't need to hit 60 first. He needed to find someone who had [Curse Knight]... and learn.
"If I remember right..." Minori tilted his head slightly, thinking back. "There's someone in the Baharuth Empire with that job."
His heart settled. He had a direction now.
Step 1: Level up.Step 2: Head to the Baharuth Empire.Step 3: Acquire [Curse Knight] and unlock the hidden profession [Valkyrie].
There was still a long road ahead—but he had a plan.
Minori turned toward the Adventurer's Guild, steps light with renewed purpose.
