Takahishi's eyes went wide, his jaw dropping open in shock. "The Cursed Child," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
Kinski's gaze turned to Takahishi, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. "That's what most people called him after the hospital incident... but Niski didn't know anything about it. The other kids feared him, and Niski was alone most of the time as a kid."
Crinix's eyes seemed to glaze over, his mind racing with memories. He remembered what Shinro had told him, how he had warned him to stay away from Niski because of his power and the hospital incident.
Kinski's voice cut through Crinix's thoughts, his eyes locked onto Crinix's face. "So, what happened afterwards?" Crinix asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Kinski's gaze dropped, his eyes fixed on the grass beneath their feet. "As Niski grew up, he became a figure of terror. People distanced themselves from Niski, and some of the kids even bullied him. That's when Niski developed his hatred towards people."
Takahishi's eyes were fixed on Kinski's face, his expression rapt with attention. "Then what happened?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Kinski's gaze lifted, his eyes locking onto Takahishi's. "Niski's power awakened again. He was only ten, and he was in a fight with some kids... and somehow managed to create lightning with his hand. He almost electrocuted five kids to death."
Crinix's eyes went wide, his face pale. "He almost created the shockwave again," Kinski continued, "but I arrived in time and absorbed the lightning from his body. If I hadn't arrived in time that day... who knows what could have happened?"
The air seemed to grow thick with tension, the silence between them oppressive. Crinix and Takahishi stared at Kinski, their eyes wide with horror, wondering if Niski had actually done all those things.
Kinski's gaze dropped, his eyes fixed on the grass beneath their feet. "After discovering his power, the only solution to his pain and sadness was to kill those who disrespected him. He then decided to use it on those who disrespected him in order to obtain respect... and ever since that day, no one dared to talk to him again."
Kinski's voice seemed to fade away, lost in the silence of the park. The only sound was the rustling of the leaves and the distant chirping of birds. Crinix and Takahishi sat in stunned silence, their minds reeling with the weight of Niski's tragic past.
Takahishi's voice trembled as he whined, "Now I'm more scared of him." He shifted uncomfortably on the bench, his eyes darting around the park as if searching for an escape route.
Kinski's expression turned soothing, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "Don't be, Niski isn't the monster everyone thinks he is," he explained, his voice low and reassuring. "It's just that people misunderstand his feelings. Once you get to understand his feelings, you'll discover he's just like any ordinary human being."
As Kinski spoke, he stood up from the bench, his movements fluid and effortless. He towered over Crinix and Takahishi, his presence commanding attention. A warm smile spread across his face as he looked at them.
"Take care of my little brother for me," he said, his voice cheerful and optimistic.
Takahishi's eyes widened in horror, his mouth opening to protest. "Huh, your little brother is a sick psycho—" he began, but Crinix's swift interruption cut him off.
"Takahishi, just shut up," Crinix whispered, his eyes narrowing in warning as he glanced at Kinski.
Kinski's smile never wavered, but his eyes seemed to gleam with amusement. "We're gonna take care of him, don't worry," Crinix continued, his voice low and reassuring.
Takahishi's face twisted in disgust, his voice barely above a whisper. "What? You're gonna take care of him alone? Hell nah, count me out."
Kinski's laughter was low and soothing, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Well, if you boys need anything, just come over to my place," he said, his voice cheerful and inviting.
As he spoke, Kinski turned to leave, his movements fluid and effortless. He walked away from them, his figure slowly vanishing behind the buildings. Crinix and Takahishi watched him go, their faces somber and reflective.
The park around them seemed to grow quieter, the only sound the distant chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves. Crinix and Takahishi sat in silence, their minds reeling with the weight of Niski's tragic past.
As they sat there, the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the park. The flowers seemed to bloom more vibrantly in the fading light, their colors deepening and richening. The air grew cooler, carrying the scent of blooming flowers and fresh grass.
Crinix finally broke the silence, his voice low and thoughtful. "We need to be careful around Niski. We don't know what might trigger his emotions."
Takahishi nodded in agreement, his eyes wide with concern. "Yeah, and we need to make sure we don't push him too far. We don't want to be on the receiving end of his powers."
As they spoke, they slowly stood up from the bench, their movements quiet and deliberate. They began to walk away from the park, their footsteps echoing through the silence. The park seemed to fade away behind them, leaving only the memories of Kinski's words and the weight of Niski's tragic past.
