Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 - The Core

Kael walked through the silent corridors of the Comandos Base.

It was still hard to grasp everything that had happened — the death, the Valley of the Forgotten, Otrho, the new Earth. Yet here he was, alive again, with young eyes and a soul in transition, exploring the secrets of the place that would now be his operations center.

The building felt endless. The walls blended dark metals with carved wood — ancient symbols whispered from every surface. Time didn't seem to flow here. It simply… existed.

As Kael descended a spiral staircase, a glowing arrow appeared midair. Silent. Soft. Golden. It didn't blink or make a sound.

It just waited.

He followed it.

It led him down a narrow corridor to a door that opened on its own.

The room beyond looked like something forgotten by the ages.

It felt… sacred.

Stone pillars. Circular inscriptions. The weight of time pressing from every corner.

At the center hovered a floating control panel, glowing in blue and white pulses. And at the far end, a strange vessel rested — part machine, part sculpture, like something alive made of metal.

Kael stepped closer.

Before he could touch anything, a screen lit up on the panel. A man's face appeared — calm, composed, dressed in dark uniform with the LIGA insignia on his chest. His eyes held centuries of silence.

"Hello, Kael," the man said. "I am Mister, a representative of LIGA. And this… is your next step."

Kael stayed silent.

"What you see here is the Temporal Transition Core. It's not a spaceship, though the resemblance isn't wrong. It is an artificial structure that allows for controlled movement across time and dimensions."

The screen zoomed in on the vessel and panel.

"LIGA watches over the paths of humanity. We do not interfere… unless absolutely necessary."

Kael looked at the glowing control. Lights responded to his movement.

"Why me?" he asked.

Mister nodded gently.

"Because you are more than an Immortal. You are what we call… The Stone."

"The Stone?"

"Inside you, Kael, there exists a rare element — we call it the Root Fragment. It activated upon your death. Only souls with a very specific frequency can host it. And yours did. This fragment allows you to become anchored through time."

He continued:

"This core only stabilizes the jump. But you are the catalyst. You are the constant — the one who makes precision travel possible."

The screen faded. The lights blinked three times.

Kael took a breath… and stepped into the Core.

It was time to walk between worlds.
