CHAPTER 1: The incident
Liam woke up early, feeling excited for the new day. He got dressed and headed downstairs to greet his parents. "Good morning, Dad. Good morning, Mom," he said, trying to sound cheerful.
His mother, Rachel, smiled and planted a kiss on his forehead. "How are you, darling?" she asked.
"I'm fine, Mom," Liam replied. "Just a bit hungry." His father, Samuel, chuckled and said, "Well, let's get you fed then."
As Rachel dishes bowls of
steaming hot oatmeal.
As they ate breakfast, Liam noticed that his parents seemed a bit tense. They kept exchanging worried glances, and Samuel seemed distracted. Liam asked them if everything was okay, but they just smiled and told him not to worry.
After breakfast, Liam grabbed his bag and headed out the door. "Bye, Mom. Bye, Dad," he said, waving goodbye.
As he walked to school, Liam couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He felt like he was walking into a storm, and he didn't know how to prepare.
At school, Liam met up with his friend David, and they chatted about their homework and the new transfer student in their class, and Liam asked who was it they hadn't finished their conversation before the teacher arrived. Teacher Gabriel, greeted them and began the lesson.
The day went by quickly, and before Liam knew it, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. He packed up his bag and headed home, eager to tell his parents about his day.
When he arrived home, Liam greeted his mother, who was busy cooking dinner in the kitchen. "Hi, Mom," he said, giving her a hug. "I'm home."
Rachel smiled and hugged him back. "Welcome home, darling. How was your day?"
Liam told her about his classes and his friends, and Rachel listened attentively. After a while, Samuel came home from work, and the three of them sat down to eat dinner together.
As they ate, Liam noticed that his parents seemed even more tense than the night before. They kept exchanging worried glances, and Samuel seemed distracted. Liam asked them if everything was okay, but they just smiled and told him not to worry.
That night, Liam went to bed early, feeling a bit anxious. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. As he drifted off to sleep, he saw a flash of blood all over a room, like a pool of blood. He didn't know which room it was, but the image stuck with him.
The next morning, Liam woke up feeling excited and sad at the same time. He didn't know why he felt that way, but he couldn't shake off the feeling.
As he came downstairs, his mother asked him why he was so fired up. Liam told her about the flash he saw, and Rachel and Samuel exchanged a worried glance.
"Eat your meal, it's on the table," Rachel said, trying to sound calm.
Liam ate his breakfast, feeling a bit uneasy. As he finished, he asked his parents about the present they promised to give him. Samuel told him it was nothing special, just something he wanted to give him when he got home from school.
Liam left for school, feeling a bit depressed. He didn't know what the present was, but he was eager to find out.
At school, Liam had a few classes, and then his class stayed behind for an extra moral class. When the class finally ended, Liam packed up his bag and headed home.
As he walked into the house, he called out to his parents. "Mom, Dad, I'm home! Where's my present?"
But there was no answer.
Liam's heart started racing as he walked into the kitchen. That's when he saw his mother, lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
"Moooooom!" Liam screamed, rushing to her side.
But it was too late. Rachel was gone.
Liam's world came crashing down around him. He stumbled backward, his eyes fixed on his mother's lifeless body.
And then, he saw his father, lying in the bedroom, struggling to breathe.
"Daaaaaaaad!" Liam shouted, rushing to his side.
"Li-a-am's, I want you to take it, it's yours. Take it and avenge us," Samuel said, struggling for breath.
Liam was confused and scared. "Dad, what are you talking about? Stop talking, I'll call the ambulance."
But Samuel just looked at him, his eyes filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "Don't worry about me, Liam. Look at my condition. Do you think I'll make it?"
Liam nodded, tears streaming down his face. "Hnnn hnn, you will, just stay still. I'll call the ambulance."
Samuel's voice was weak, but his words were laced with a sense of urgency. "Listen to me carefully, Liam. Live and don't die. Avenge us and stop the killing. Get it? It belongs to you.
As the clock struck 7:07 PM, the fluorescent lights in the police station's interrogation room flickered, casting an eerie glow on Liam's tear-stained face. The female sergeant, her expression a mix of empathy and professionalism, leaned forward, her voice gentle. "What's your name again, kiddo?" she asked, her words a soothing balm to Liam's frazzled nerves.
"L-Liam's," he stammered, his voice cracking as he struggled to hold back tears. The sergeant's kind eyes met his, and she nodded understandingly.
"Okay, Liam's. Can you tell me what happened? Did you witness anything?" Her voice was calm, but Liam's mind was a jumble of emotions. He took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.
"N-no, I just came back from school... and I saw... my parents... lying dead," Liam's voice broke, and he burst into sobs, his body shaking with each ragged breath. The sergeant's expression softened, and she reached out to offer a comforting hand.
"It's okay, it's okay. Don't cry. We'll get to the root of this matter," she said, her voice a gentle whisper. "Don't worry, your uncle, Dreck, is on his way to this station. Be rest assured." Liam nodded, still sniffling, as the sergeant's words offered a glimmer of hope.
At 7:22 PM, the door swung open, and Dreck walked in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Liam. "Hi, Liam's," he said, his voice warm and reassuring.
Liam's face lit up, and he rushed into his uncle's arms, tears still streaming down his face. "Hi, Uncle Dreck... Good evening, Uncle Dreck," he greeted, his voice muffled against Dreck's shoulder.
Dreck's expression was somber, but his voice remained calm. "Good evening, Liam's. How are you doing?"
Liam pulled back, his eyes red-rimmed. "I'm... I'm fine," he lied, still sniffling.
Dreck's eyes filled with understanding. "It's okay, it's fine. I know you're going through a lot right now. I'm sorry, but I'm here now, so don't worry. Let's go home, okay?"
Liam nodded, still tearful, as Dreck guided him out of the station. The police had already sent someone to clean up the blood at Liam's house, and the atmosphere was somber as they drove home.
When they arrived, Dreck instructed Liam to gather his belongings. "Okay, Liam's, go inside and get your things. You'll be staying at my house. I'll be waiting outside."
Liam nodded and trudged inside, his heart heavy with grief. He packed his clothes, some personal items, and a few pictures of himself and his parents. As he entered his parents' room, he felt a pang of sorrow. He approached a framed picture of himself with his parents when he was little, and his eyes welled up with tears.
He took the picture from the wall, and memories flooded his mind. As he placed the frame back, his elbow accidentally brushed against a hidden button on the wall. To his surprise, a section of the floor slid open, revealing a staircase leading down into darkness.
Liam's tears stopped abruptly as curiosity took over. He walked toward the opening, peering down into the dimly lit stairway. With a sense of trepidation, he began to descend the stairs, unsure of what lay ahead.
As Liam's eyes adjusted to the dim light, he stumbled upon a hidden door, cleverly concealed behind a bookshelf. The air was thick with dust, and cobwebs clung to the walls, as if untouched for years. He input the password, and the door creaked open, revealing a room filled with advanced technology and mysterious devices. Liam's heart raced as he stepped inside.
As his eyes scanned the space, a small, sleek device protruded from the wall, its lens fixed on Liam. A soft hum filled the air as it scanned him, confirming his identity. Suddenly, a small, spherical object emerged from the device and began to fly around Liam, zipping and darting with incredible speed.
Liam ducked, his instincts on high alert, but the object seemed to be assessing him rather than attacking. It hovered before him, its bright blue LED lights pulsing rapidly. Then, in a flash of light, the object released a tiny, crystalline structure that flew straight into Liam's mouth.
Liam felt the crystal settle within him, its presence strange and unfamiliar. The room fell silent, except for the soft hum of the device still scanning the space. A holographic display flickered to life, projecting a cryptic message: "For the heir's eyes only."
Liam's mind reeled as he tried to process what had just happened. What was this crystal, and what did it mean for his future? The device's lights pulsed faster, as if sensing Liam's curiosity. He felt a sense of anticipation building within him, a sense that his life was about to change forever.
The room, once a secret hideaway, had become a gateway to a larger world, full of intrigue and adventure. Liam's thoughts swirled with possibilities, and he knew he had to uncover the truth about his family's past and the mysterious Kairos Crystal now lodged within him.
Liam's, Liam's Liam's are you done hurry up
"Dreck shouted"
And Liam's heard it and ran out of the room's, anywhere or any room he left went back to it's original position like nobody went in or came out,and when Liam's was running out he was surprised at what he discovered and was also shocked and happy at the same time. He totally forgot about his cry for his parents death.
You're finally out, what took you so long
"Dreck said"
I'm sorry uncle dreck
"Liam's apologies"
It's okay, just enter the car let me put your things in the booth, are these everything you need? If you need to take anything else please don't hesitate.
"Dreck said"
