Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – Death by a Pervert

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh—!"

In broad daylight, Tsunade was tightly bound in a tortoise-shell pattern by several long, thick, and ominously black snakes of unknown species.

Yes, the battle was over. Just when Tsunade thought Orochimaru had left and slightly let her guard down, she overlooked the snake coiled around her body. It was the longest and most resilient among the swarm Orochimaru had summoned. By the time she realized it, it was already too late.

In a flash, the outcome had been decided. Tsunade struggled with all her might, even burning the last of her chakra to unleash her monstrous strength. She managed to break free from one snake—only for another to immediately take its place. Within moments, her chakra was completely drained, and the newly added snakes held her tightly in place without budging an inch.

Tsunade gave up her futile struggle.

That's when Orochimaru emerged from behind a tree, limping slightly—yet wearing a rare, satisfied smile.

"You've lost."

Orochimaru declared his victory. But there was no arrogance in his voice. On the contrary, defeating a worn-out Tsunade was hardly anything to brag about in his eyes. It felt more like a simple statement of fact.

"You planned this, Orochimaru!"

"And what if I did?"

Had it been Jiraiya, he'd be speechless at the accusation. But Orochimaru wasn't the type. He shamelessly admitted the truth, replying flatly,

"Tsunade, as a ninja, you're worse than even Jiraiya."

Tsunade winced. That one stung.

She knew all too well—she hated pain, feared death, was forgetful, lacked combat awareness, and couldn't focus on critical details… always overlooking something fatal. The only reason she survived the First Great Ninja War was by shamelessly abusing cheats from her system—anyone could've done it with her setup.

All in all, Tsunade felt that, as a ninja, she had absolutely nothing going for her—aside from what the system had granted her.

Truth be told, Tsunade never had any grand ambition. No desire to save the world, no dream of ruling it. She just wanted to live a simple, happy life with her family. But fate was cruel. Instead of waking up in a peaceful slice-of-life world, she landed smack in the middle of a hot-blooded battle shounen. Just her luck…

Not that Orochimaru had any clue about this.

To him, Tsunade was a genius—an absurdly talented genius who, despite her laziness, still left others in the dust. Think about it: the God of Shinobi Hashirama Senju and the brilliant Tobirama Senju both hailed from the Senju Clan. Were they all monsters?

That curiosity made Orochimaru want to challenge Tsunade himself—to test his progress through combat.

Originally, Orochimaru had intended to fight a fully recovered Tsunade. But when she recklessly ran herself into a trap, he simply took the opportunity to teach her a lesson.

The revenge part? Just a bonus. Orochimaru didn't actually mind crossdressing that much.

"Want to know how I found you?"

Orochimaru suddenly asked.

"Actually… I am curious."

Tsunade had to admit it. Transformation Jutsu was basic, sure—but her version had been enhanced by her system multiple times over the years. It had already proven incredibly useful in the First Ninja War. Her disguise should've been flawless—not even birds noticed anything strange.

And yet, Orochimaru had seen through it instantly.

That left Tsunade wondering: had she not stacked the technique enough times? Next time the system offered it, maybe she should forgo other rewards and continue upgrading it. Transformation and Substitution Jutsus had saved her skin countless times—like battlefield insurance.

Orochimaru spoke again:

"You might not realize it, but you have a distinct scent. Very easy to recognize."

"…"

Tsunade looked at Orochimaru with a strange expression.

Are you seriously telling me you tracked me down… by smell? Are you actually confessing that you're a pervert?

"…"

One minute of awkward silence passed. Orochimaru started to panic.

"I just… know my comrades well."

"…"

"I'm not a pervert."

Orochimaru tried to defend his innocence—subconsciously licking his lips as he spoke.

"If you're not a pervert, then why are you still keeping me tied up like this?"

Tsunade figured he must've learned this particular binding method from her. After all, four years ago, she'd used the exact same technique to tie Jiraiya to a post—and it had been very well-received.

Who would've thought? Thirty years on top, thirty years below. Now it was her turn.

"…"

Orochimaru stayed silent, showing no intention of letting her go.

Now it was Tsunade's turn to panic.

She vaguely remembered reading somewhere that after surviving a life-threatening situation, men's instincts would trigger an overwhelming urge to pass on their genes—a primal reaction to brush with death.

That theory had seemingly been proven true—after the First Ninja War, most male ninja settled down and had kids.

Tsunade vaguely recalled how, in the original story, Konoha entered a period of peace and growth after the war. The parents of the next generation of shinobi were mostly born during this postwar baby boom. That generation would go on to become the backbone of Konoha's defense in future battles.

In short, even Tsunade could sense it—after the war, even the bratty kids seemed a little more… mature.

Wait a minute… Don't tell me this is about to turn into that kind of scene?!

"Orochimaru, calm down!"

Tsunade was scaring herself with her encyclopedic knowledge. Maybe ignorance really was bliss.

Orochimaru blinked, a little confused by her outburst, but answered honestly:

"I am calm."

"Really?" Tsunade asked, skeptical.

"Really." Orochimaru nodded seriously.

"Then let me go!"

Tsunade had no intention of spending an entire chapter tied up like this. How humiliating would that be? If word got out, where would her reputation as the Queen of Konoha go?

And honestly, having been on the receiving end now… she finally understood why Jiraiya held a grudge. People really could only empathize once they experienced the same suffering.

"No."

Orochimaru's tone was firm. He wasn't falling for her tricks.

"I thought you said you were calm?!"

Tsunade felt personally attacked—was he mocking her intelligence now?

"I am calmly keeping you tied up."

"…"

Tsunade felt like she just witnessed the declaration of a next-level pervert crime.
