Ship
Kiyomi walked towards Chabashira.
"So you called me here. For what reason Sensei?"
"I've been keeping my eye on you Ayanokoji. You've achieved remarkable things."
"I wouldn't say I agree. I'm nothing special."
Suzuki listened from afar. (Suggested by GurenSaijou on Wattpad.)
'I only came to check she was okay but she's meeting with Sensei?'
Kiyomi looked in the direction of Suzuki, who was hiding.
'I think she knows I'm here. This could end badly.'
Chabashira waited patiently for a second before speaking.
"You might want to pay attention Ayanokoji."
"Hm?"
"That man. Your father. He told me something."
'Her Father?'
Suzuki gritted his teeth.
"No matter what you must expel Ayanokoji Kiyomi."
'That bastard!'
"Father never really did have a good sense of humour."
"Oh I can assure you that he's serious."
"Is that so? I find that hard to believe. Even if that's true though it's not like you'd agree to it. After all, it's and unreasonable request."
"Of course since you're a student at this school as long as you follow the rules you are also protected by those same rules. Of course, that would be different if you went around making trouble."
"Exactly. I'm not the type to cause trouble after all."
"However I can decide if you're making trouble."
Suzuki's eyes widened.
'Is she... threatening her?'
Suzuki gritted his teeth.
"How about this? You put your full effort towards getting to Class A and I'll protect you unilaterally."
"That's completely out of the question."
Suzuki looked surprised as Kiyomi got up.
'Why would you reject it? It's the only thing that can...'
"Then Ayanokoji...You'll be expelled."
Suzuki was about to get up and confront Chabashira but Kiyomi turned around grabbing Chabashira's collar.
"What kind of teacher are you exactly?"
Suzuki was shocked.
'I've never seen her express anger before.'
Chabashira looked unfazed.
"So will it be Class A or Expulsion?"
"This is an attempt to manipulate me. You will soon learn to regret it."
"Don't worry about me. My life is already so full of regrets that one more won't be a problem."
Kiyomi walked toward Suzuki.
"You can stop hiding now."
Suzuki slowly stood up.
"Ummm..."
"You don't need to explain yourself. I can already tell that this wasn't intentional."
"What exactly is with your father?"
"I want you to keep it a secret but he has a daughter complex. He doesn't want me to go far away from him."
Suzuki sweat dropped.
"That's a lie."
"A lie?"
"Whatever it is your father feels about you I can tell your experience with him wasn't good."
"I can't tell you anymore else. Please accept my answer."
"You can't expect me to..."
"I will expect you to. You can't ask about it. Leave my past alone."
Kiyomi walked away as Suzuki stood there alone.

Island Exam
Suzuki- Ugh I don't feel so great.
He walked off the ship onto the island meeting Kiyomi.
"Ayanokoji-San..."
"You don't look so good. You should head back onto the ship."
"Are you saying that because you're mad right now?"
"No I'm not mad. Don't change the subject. You're clearly not well."
"I'm fine. Whatever it is I'm sure I can be okay till the end."
Kiyomi sighed.
"Stick close to me then. It'll be a pain to drag you on the floor if you collapse. I'd rather grab you before you fall."
"I'm not going to collapse. It's not that bad."
Everyone lined up as Mashima stood at the stands and explained the upcoming Special Exam. Suzuki grimaced at the thought of a special exam while he was in that condition.
'Does someone up there hate me or something?'
Kiyomi tapped his shoulder.
"Alright it's time for you to go back to the ship."
"It's okay. I'll pace myself so I'll be fine."
"I'll be keeping a close eye on you then."
Suzuki blushed.
'Having a girlfriend that wants to take care of you when you're sick is great but I expected her to be angry about last night. Maybe even an argument or two.'
Suzuki looked to Kiyomi.
'A small part of me is a little fustrated that she won't trust me with her past after all.'
Class D gathered in one spot. Hirata then listed some things that could be bought. Many of the girls grimaced as Kei spoke up.
"That kind of toilet will be hard for some of the girls. Hirata-Kun. Let's buy a portable toilet!"
Yukimura sighed in a condescending tone.
"Absolutely not. There should be a majority vote before buying something. You women are too emotional."
Kiyomi stepped up.
"You say that but aren't you basing that statement on your own emotion towards the women in your life?"
"What?"
"Regardless you're at least right about the vote."
Yukimura looked away embarrassed as some girls snickered. Suzuki stepped forward.
"A class vote it is then. Put up your hands if you want the toilet."
The vote came and the Class bought the toilet. They started looking through the island for spots to secure as they settled down in camp and Kiyomi approached Suzuki.
"Don't push yourself. Leave it to us."
"I can't ask you to do that."
"I don't really have a choice but to participate now anyways."
"About that... are you alright?"
"I'm fine. I can't risk being expelled so I'll have to play along for now."
Suzuki grimaced at her situation. Kushida then spoke up.
"I think Kiyomi should be our leader."
Kiyomi sighed as many looked surprised. Shinohara spoke up.
"Eh? Ayanokoji-San? Are you sure Kushida?"
Yamauchi spoke up
"You're right! No one would suspect Ayanokoji-Chan!"
Kiyomi sighed again before speaking.
"I don't think I'm the right choice. Honestly, Horikita-Kun is the better option."
"But isn't that a bit obvious?"
"It doesn't really matter who we pick. The point is to protect them and their identity and since Horikita is sick we'll need to do that anyways."
"Eh? Are you sick?"
Kushida walked forward to check her temperature but Suzuki swatted her hand away.
"Don't touch me so casually Kushida."
Kushida made a hurt expression. Kiyomi sighed as Kushida hugged her and the boys berated Suzuki.
"Kikyo. Are you alright?"
"I'm okay but Horikita-Kun is so mean to me."
"Hm? Isn't that common amongst Ex boyfriends and girlfriends?"
The atmosphere froze for a second as the boys looked shocked.
"..."
"..."
"... Horikita you bastard!"
The boys closed in on him grabbing his collar out of anger. Suzuki made an annoyed face.
"Get your idiotic faces away from mine. I feel my condition will worsen from your mere presence."
Ike made an annoyed face shouting at Suzuki and spitting as he did.
"You Ikemen bastard!"
Suzuki put his hand on Ike's face pushing him away.
"Get your face away away from me you dimwit!"
After a while things calmed down though the boys were still visibly annoyed to learn that Suzuki and Kushida were ex-lovers. Kushida then spoke up.
"Kiyomi was right though. Suzuki-Kun was always pretty good at most things and he is sick. If we have to protect the identity of someone it might ass we'll be someone who needs to be protected anyways."
Suzuki looked annoyed by Kushida using his first name but didn't react in any way more than a grunt of annoyance. Eventually, they agreed to make Suzuki the leader. Suzuki looked to Kiyomi.
"Why did you do that?"
"Sorry I guess telling everyone about you dating Kushida was a bit insensitive."
"That was annoying but I don't care so much about it. What I care about is you telling everyone about me being sick!"
"Because otherwise, you'd push yourself into doing unnecessary things."
"I can take care of myself. I'm not a child."
"Are you... angry with me?"
"Yes! Don't go telling everyone about things I want to keep secret."
"You're just being unreasonable right now. You're sick. Obviously we have to make sure you're okay."
Suzuki made an annoyed face. Kiyomi did not trust him with her past and now he was sick and a burden to his class. He was being faced with his own inability to achieve anything at the moment.
"Fine."
"I know you're upset but don't leave everything to yourself. It's not healthy."
Kiyomi left and walked towards the center of the group where Hirata was calling for everyone.
"Everyone. I think we should scout the island. Maybe in groups of three."
Kushida grabbed Kiyomi's arm.
"I'll be with Kiyomi."
Many looked confused at this sudden increase in friendliness. Meanwhile, many of the boys just looked perversely at the sight of two cute girls hugging each other. Koenji laughed a little walking over.
"I think I'll join you two."
Suzuki felt a knot in his stomach hearing this. Kushida stood between Kiyomi and Koenji. She sweated a little.
"You were a bit rude to Kiyomi on our first day. I'm not sure this is a good idea."
Koenji laughed.
"Not to worry. I won't make and unbeautiful moves."
Kushida hesitated but Kiyomi stepped forward.
"It's fine."
Koenji smirked.
"But if you touch me I'll break your fingers."
The boys saw this and their thoughts seemed to be something like thinking she was cute even when threatening a man. Suzuki breathed in relief a little. Ike then spoke up lifting a manga up.
"Imagine if Ayanokoji-Chan is actually a deadly assassin."
He pointed at the image of his issue of Sakamoto Days at Osaragi. The boys blushed.
"Ayanokoji-San would look so hot like that."
"Their personalities are a bit similar too... could it be?"
Kiyomi sighed.
"I'm no assassin. Don't slander me."
Kiyomi then left with Kushida and Koenji.

Forest
The three were walking around when Koenji started swinging through the trees. Kiyoi shouted out to him.
"Koenji. Slow down!"
"Haha. The beauty of Nature. Second only to mine. How wonderous it is enhancing my beauty in such a manner."
Koenji swung through the tree out of sight. Kushida sighed.
"Finally that fucker is gone."
"You've been wanting to ask me something right?"
"Um yeah. So are you and Horikita a thing?"
Kiyomi moved aside a branch as the two walked through.
"Yes."
"Oh..."
"What's wrong?"
"That guy's a stuck-up fucker. You deserve better."
"I disagree. He's changed quite a bit though I admit he can be childish at times."
"Exactly. Dump the fucker."
"But at the same time. He's the only one that's ever made me feel this way."
Kushida's face twitched with guilt.
"Well if you feel that way then it's fine."
Kushida seemed to have a change of heart about something when the two of them came to an area with a cave nearby.
"Woah. There's a cave. We can claim the spot. Let's go an..."
Kiyomi grabbed Kushida pulling her behind a tree and putting a hand over her mouth as Katsuragi and Yahiko walked out.
"Katsuragi-San. About before..."
"Do not repeat that mistake again. We are members of Class A. We must conduct ourselves appropriately. Did you check the area around us?"
"Yes. There's no one around. The area is secure."
The two went back into the cave as Kiyomi let go of Kushida.
"Sorry about that Kikyo."
"It's alright."
"Then we should return to camp."
Kushida nodded agreeing and they returned to camp and slept.

Next Morning
They woke up the next morning as Kiyomi walked up to Kushida.
"How about we go look around today as well?"
Kushida nodded.
"But what about our third?"
"How about Sudo?"
"Um... Kiyomi. You know that might not be a good idea."
"Why?"
"Because Horikita might get jealous."
"..."
"Kiyomi?"
"Isn't that kind of childish?"
"Um well..."
"No, you're right. I suppose he's been in a bad mood. Some consideration is hardly difficult."
Kushida nodded.
"So just the two of us?"
"Yeah. That should be fine."
The two of them walked off going through the forest when they came to the beach. They see Class C frolicking spending points lavishly. Ryuen smirked seeing Kiyomi.
"Why if it isn't Kiyomi? What a surprise. Are you so desperate to see me?"
"I told you already that I prefer more handsome men."
Kushida withheld her urge to laugh with all her might as Ryuen made an annoyed face.
"So Ryuen-Kun. Are you sure you can spend your points like that?"
Ryuen smirked at Kushida.
"Are you worried about me Kikyo?"
Kushida felt immense difficulty in hiding her disgust as Ryuen went on.
"I'm not so desperate as you to gain points. My class can afford to relax a little."
"Ah... I see."
Ryuen smirked.
"Why don't you ladies join us? I'm sure we'll get along real well."
Kiyomi stood between him and Kushida.
"I think we should leave Kikyo."
Kushida nodded as they left. On their way back they found Ibuki. Kushida approached her.
"Ibuki-San. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Leave me alone."
Kiyomi offered her hand.
"You'll die you know."
"I'll be..."
Kiyomi grabbed her wrist pulling her up.
"Stop being troublesome. Get up."
Ibuki sighed getting up as they guided her back to camp. Kiyomi was in an isolated area as Kushida walked over to her.
"Can we talk?"
"Oh? Sure."
Kushida began venting her frustrations as Kiyomi listened intently without saying a word. Kushida then brought up something else.
"Oh. Right. I wanted to ask you one other thing. Can we really trust Ibuki-San?"
"Not at all. She's a traitor for sure."
"Eh!? Then why did you let her in the camp? Isn't this bad for us?"
"Normally yes but if we change our leader on the last day then it'll result in her giving the opponent false information."
"Fuck yeah! That's cool."
"Of course we'll need to stay silent about this until the end."
"Alright. No fucking way Ryuen will be able to predict this."
—————————————————————————————————————
A Day Later
Kiyomi approached Suzuki.
"About my past..."
"Ayanokoji-San..."
Kiyomi bowed to him.
"I'm really sorry but I'm not in a position that I can share it with you. I do trust you but it would cause you problems."
"It's alright. I don't mind if it causes me problems."
"Give me 1 year. After that, I'll tell you everything. I promise. I just want 1 year where you don't look at me differently than right now."
Suzuki looked surprised.
"1 year? That's an awful amount of time to keep me waiting."
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright. I get it."
'Look at her differently. Could it be worse than I thought? I don't want to think about that.'
Kiyomi then looked at him dead on.
"I have a plan to win the Island Exam."
"What?"
She whispered in his ear as his eyes widened.
"You're sure this will work?"
"I am."
"Alright fine."

At Camp-Final Day
Suzuki got out of his tent.
"I'm feeling better so let me help you all now okay?"
Hirata walked over to him trying to get him back into the tent.
"You don't have to Horiktia-Kun. You're probably still a little sick."
"I'm fine."
Suzuki began helping around when he tripped on a tree root his face landing in the mud.
"Ugh."
Kiyomi helped him up.
"I told you not to push yourself. Go wash up before you get sick again."
Suzuki went to wash up and then returned standing next to Kiyomi.
"Did she take the bait?"
"She did. The rest is up to you."

The Next Day
Mashima announced the results.
"In Last Place: Class C! 0 Points!"
Ryuen made a shocked expression.
"In Third Place Class A: 120 points!"
"In Second Place: Class B: 140 Points!"
Class D looked surprised as they were taking a second to process it.
"In First Place: Class D: 225 Points!"
Class D then erupted into cheer as they celebrated and everyone went to the ship Ryuen approached Kiyomi and Suzuki.
"I see now. You're the actually problematic one Kiyomi."
"I have no idea what you're talking about Ryuen."
"I'll break you eventually."
Ryuen smirked as he left. Suzuki grimaced as he and Kiyomi went onto the ship.
'Ryuen will be after her now. That could prove troublesome.'
"Ayanokoji-San. You really aren't just a cutie."
Kiyomi looked back at him a slight blush on her face.
"Huh? Suzuki?"
"Did I saw that out loud..."
Kiyomi smirked slightly walking away as Suzuki sighed at his own stupidity.
