At this point, Kronos was sitting on a tree stump that he had cut himself.
He raised his head slightly and looked at the little squirrel scurrying through the air.
From the perspective of the naked eye, the little squirrel seemed like a monster, capable of floating in midair and walking and jumping effortlessly.
But Kronos knew very well that the little squirrel was actually imprisoned by him in a space of 1 cubic meter.
As he watched the little squirrel, which was running around in a panic, Kronos looked around again and couldn't help but frown. He muttered to himself, noting that the trees had been cut by his spatial abilities.
"Is this really the only power of this fruit?!"
Obviously, Kronos was not satisfied with the strength displayed by this fruit.
Even though he had made great progress in controlling the ability, he was still not satisfied.
While the current spatial ability was able to cut down large trees, it was simply the result of Kronos using the boundary walls formed by the cubic space.
There were huge flaws and drawbacks.
First, it took some time for the cubic space to form.
Second, although the boundary wall of the cubic space could cut through any object, the cut was very thin, almost like a hair's width. This meant that as long as the target moved slightly, it could easily dodge.
Third, it was not yet possible to move the cubic space while it was forming.
After all these issues, the lethality of this ability was very limited.
The only thing that seemed useful at the moment was perhaps the space imprisonment and isolation capabilities.
But that was clearly not what Kronos wanted.
Looking at his palm, Kronos became more and more doubtful.
"Is that all the Chaos Fruit can do?"
"Is it only a spatial ability?!"
"Or, does the Chaos Fruit have other abilities that I haven't understood yet?"
With this thought in mind, Kronos fell into deep contemplation.
A few minutes later, Kronos' eyes suddenly lit up as a bold idea came to his mind.
He stood up straight in excitement.
"No! No! The Chaos Fruit shouldn't only have spatial abilities."
"It definitely has other powers."
"Chaos... Chaos... Chaos?!"
"The God of Chaos, the Primordial God, Void, Order, Darkness... Symbols?!"
"If the Void represents space... does that mean that Order and Darkness are actually abilities of the Chaos Fruit?!"
"If I'm right..."
"If Order represents the rules... then can I create the rules?!"
With this guess in mind, Kronos immediately turned to the little squirrel imprisoned in mid-air.
"It just so happens that you can help me complete the test!"
With that, Kronos continued to focus on developing the powers of the fruit.
...
...
Meanwhile, in the tavern, the visit from the bandit hadn't caused much of a stir.
Less than an hour after the bandit left, the drinkers began to arrive at the tavern one by one.
At this point, the tavern wasn't as crowded as before, but there were still plenty of drinkers gathered.
Hina, on the other hand, was sitting at the counter with her chin resting on her hand, looking gloomy.
Erica, standing nearby, watched the little girl, feeling a little helpless but also slightly amused.
Erica poured a glass of juice and walked over to Hina, handing it to her as she spoke.
"Why so gloomy?"
Hina glanced at Erica and mumbled, taking the juice while stubbornly saying, "I'm fine."
Hearing this, Erica couldn't help but smile and fondly ruffled Hina's little head.
"What's bothering you, girl? Do you think I don't know?"
While Erica rubbed her head, Hina silently drank the juice without saying anything.
After a while, Erica sighed helplessly.
"Alas, Kronos has been helping all this time. He's also very tired and needs rest."
"Don't exclude him so much, okay?"
Just as Erica finished speaking, a voice came from a nearby wine table.
"Little Hina, bring two glasses of spirits for uncle."
Hina glanced toward the wine table as she heard this, then took a sip of juice, muttering stubbornly.
"I'll go get the drinks."
With that, Hina put the juice down, turned around, and went to fetch the drinks.
Looking at her stubborn daughter, Erica felt a little conflicted but wasn't sure what to say.
Soon, Hina returned to the wine table with two glasses of spirits.
The man at the table smiled when he saw Hina, who wasn't very tall, bringing the drinks.
"Why are you helping out today? Where's Kronos?"
As soon as Hina heard Kronos' name, she got irritated.
"Really? Is there no pot that won't be stirred?"
"Hmph, that lazy pig is probably still sleeping!"
Hina snorted lightly and turned to leave.
She sat back at the counter, still looking upset, muttering to herself.
"It's been so long, why hasn't he come down yet?"
"What's he doing?"
While speaking, Hina's mood darkened.
Suddenly, she noticed that Erica was no longer at the counter. It seemed that she had gone to the back room.
Hina blinked, hesitated for a moment, and then stood up to look around.
After confirming Erica's absence, Hina snorted.
"Hmph, I want to see what exactly you're doing!"
With that, Hina quietly made her way to the second floor, heading for Kronos' bedroom door.
She stood in front of the closed bedroom door and knocked twice.
"Boom! Boom!"
Hina waited a moment, but there was no response.
She was a little stunned.
In the past, even if Kronos was asleep, two knocks like that would have woken him up!
Why no response this time?
Confused, Hina blinked and then knocked again, this time with more force, shouting softly at the same time.
"Boom! Boom!"
"Kronos?"
She waited again, but still no response from inside.
This strange silence made Hina frown as she called out again.
"Kronos?!"
Still no answer.
After hesitating for a moment, Hina looked around to make sure no one was nearby.
Then, with a guilty conscience, she opened the door again.
"Kronos? What are you doing?"
"Are you in there?"
"Why don't you speak?"
"If you're not speaking, I can go in."
"I really will!"
After saying this, Hina stood in front of the door, waiting for a response.
But she still didn't get one.
After hesitating again, Hina gritted her teeth and declared.
"I'm coming in!"
With that, Hina opened the bedroom door.
However, when she fully opened the door, she found not Kronos, but an empty room.
Hina's pupils shrank in shock.
"Kronos?!"
