Two hours had passed since the start of the competition, and now it was the finals, taking place in the biggest arena the academy could have.
The academy had hired a professional host to hype up the students that were going to be watching the match, though they were already hyped from the start.
In the academy, Fu Tian and Liu Yan were known to be the strongest, one was filled with talent and naturally strong physique, the other, one who works very hard to get to where he is now.
The only thing students didn't know was, who was stronger between the two.
The students of Nodding Academy sat down at the stands, talking about who would win.
"Alright everyone, are you all ready for the FINALS!" the hired host announced into the mic, the students begin to cheer. There were some signs made by the girl students of the academy, some supporting Liu Yan, some supporting Fu Tian.
In the backstage of the arena where the students got ready, Ying Xuan was sitting on the bench with a few bandages on her back.
"Your back feeling better?" Liu Yan said while sitting next to her.
"A bit, it doesn't hurt that bad, and I've been healed by the healers already. Just focus on your match, alright?" Ying Xuan said while smiling softly.
"If you say so..." he replied, a bit skeptical.
"And now we welcome our competitors onto the stage!" the voice on a speaker sounded loudly.
"Good luck!" she said before walking off to sit at the stands.
"We'll see if I need that luck" he replied sarcastically, he was never one to depend on luck factors.
"On the right, we have our lightning lord, FU TIAN!!" the host shouted while the crowd cheered as Fu Tian, the handsome yet laid back role model of the academy. His face showing that of pride.
"And on the left, we have our diamond overlord, LIU YAN!!!" the host shouted once more, the crowd cheered again as Liu Yan, the handsome senior, lacking in some talent but hard working enough to surpass those with better talent. A true role model in the teachers' eyes.
"Today, we shall witness the battle between these two students, to determine who is stronger. May the match... BEGIN!! Summon your martial souls!" as the host yelled this, both of them summoned their martial souls.
Fu Tian's guandao slowly materialized and formed in his hands. Two yellow soul rings rose from his feet.
Liu Yan's gauntlets materialized around his hands and forearm, two yellow soul rings rose up as well.
Without wasting any time, Liu Yan charged forward, punching at Fu Tian who dodged all the strikes with sidesteps.
Whoosh, Whoosh,Whoosh
"You're slow, Liu Yan" Fu Tian said before swinging his guandao at Liu Yan's head.
Clang
Liu Yan raised his hands and to block the swing, causing him to be sent to the side. Liu Yan maneuvered his body, jabbing his hand into the ground, slowing him down before stopping fully.
A trail of cracks appeared on the arena floor.
"I'm gonna have to fix that... my money" the dean thought while looking at the damage caused in the first confrontation.
"Take this if you can! First soul skill: Tempestry Grace!" Fu Tian said before throwing his guandao like javelin straight at Liu Yan. Fu Tian's guandao's blade was suddenly coated with wing and lightning
Shing
"First soul skill: Definitive creation!" Liu Yan yelled and motioned his hand upwards, a thick crystal wall shot up attempting to block the guandao. Suddenly,
Crack
the crystal wall cracks and shatters.
Liu Yan's eyes widened, using his first soul skill, a cylinder shot out of the spot he stood on, sending him upwards, dodging Fu Tian's guandao.
"Smart move, Liu Yan but not enough!" Fu Tian said when the guandao suddenly began to spin, returning to Fu Tian who spun and grabbed it, using the momentum and sent a wind slash straight at Liu Yan.
"Definitive Creation!" a shield formed onto Liu Yan's hand, facing it towards Fu Tian, he used his first soul skill once more.
Crack, Bang
the shield extended straight down and hit Fu Tian in the head, sending him head first into the concrete floor.
After a few seconds of not moving, Fu Tian stood back up while Liu Yan slowly landed back on the arena floor safely.
"Enough games, Liu Yan" Fu Tian said with slight anger before wind slowly enveloped his body, he charged at Liu Yan with his guandao, his speed increased.
To the audience, it looked like he teleported a short distance, appearing in front of Liu Yan.
Clang, Clang, Clang
Liu Yan clashed with every strike and avoiding letting his center of gravity be shifted. Though Fu Tian's speed increased a lot, his attack speed wasn't increased by a lot.
Liu Yan tried to dodge one of the side swings when Fu Tian appeared behind him, swinging straight down at him.
"NO!" Liu Yan screamed in anger and determination, before motioning his hand side ways, a thicker curved crystal wall formed, blocking Fu Tian's strike.
Bang
One of Liu Yan's gauntlets turns into small crystal particles, forming a gauntlet that fits a leg, He kicks the curved wall, sending it straight at Fu Tian, while it expands more and more.
"What th-" Fu Tian couldn't finish his sentence before getting hit full force. Using his strength, he barely stopped the wall before it pushed him out of bounds.
"Tempestry Grace!" Fu Tian utilizing his first soul skill, broke the curved wall, the moment it shattered, he saw Liu Yan charge at him. He knew he couldn't make a mistake, he dodged under "Liu Yan" thinking he would fall out.
"Liu Yan" upper body twist unnaturally, facing him, grabbed his arm and punched him in the gut, punching the air out of him and sending him to the middle.
Fu Tian slowly looked up to see two of Liu Yan, one was made of crystal, the other was the real one.
"What type of ability is this? A self created soul skill? What a genius!" the host yelled.
The dean and grandmaster were shocked, Liu Yan was only 10 years old yet he had already made his own self created soul skill.
"Time to finish this! Second soul skill: Thunderous sound chain!" Fu Tian yelled before charging towards Fu Tian.
Clang, Clang, Clang
Each strike was faster and heavier than the last, the first strike shattered the crystal Liu Yan. The second made contact with his gauntlets, almost breaking them before it slowly healed. The third breaking the floor into 12 pieces.
Clang, Clang, Rumble
The fourth had hit Liu Yan's other gauntlet, cracking it. The last one hit it's target, hitting Liu Yan, a thunder struck Liu Yan as it happened.
Fu Tian smiled, expecting Liu Yan to be unconscious and walked away.
Crack, Ping
He looked back immediately. He saw fragments of crystals on the ground. The dust slowly cleared and there stood Liu Yan, still up and running. A crystal shield rotated around him.
Fu Tian looked at Liu Yan's soul rings. The second one was still lit up.
"Never expected it, did ya?" Liu Yan said before charging forward, attempting to punch Fu Tian but of course, he couldn't. "Did you think it would be that easy?" said Fu Tian, who was about to hit him again with his guandao.
"Look over there!" Liu Yan suddenly pointed at a spot behind Fu Tian, unexpectedly enough, Fu Tian turned.
"There's nothing over ther-" Liu Yan punched Fu Tian in the back of the head, causing him be knocked out cold.

The scene was silent, everyone was shocked that this was how their battle ended.
"Liu Yan WINS!!" the host broke free from the shock first and announced. The crowd cheered, mainly the happiest were the students that supported Liu Yan.
Healers came running onto the stage and begin healing both of us. Fu Tian woke up from his unconsciousness.
Liu Yan went up to him and shook his hand. "Next time, I'll end things faster" Liu Yan said with a challenging smile. "We'll see about that" Fu Tian replied.
