Vesper turned his head slowly as he faced Amon, who spoke, his eyes flashed with a purple light and his body turned along with his head.
All Vesper heard was the word bastard, echoing in his head, then a memory came, a memory that belonged to the original owner of the body.
A man and a woman held a baby as tears rolled their eyes, they apologized to the baby and put it in a magic circle. The woman started channelling her mana into the circle while the man turned around and fought the people who attacked them.
"Live on, my son, your father and I are sorry for not being able to live with you. Forgive us." The woman said as the circle flashed. Just before the child vanished, Vesper saw the man and the woman killed by their attackers and a dagger flashed towards the child before the child vanished.
Back in reality, Vesper turned to look at Amon. His whole body released a pressure that made them shudder in fear, it was not heavy, but at the same time, none of them dared to breathe, they felt if they made even the slightest movement, the invisible cold blade on their necks would reap their lives.
Vesper walked up to Amon and stood before him before opening his mouth to speak.
"What did you say just now, dear prince?" Vespers' voice sounded so heavy laced with a tone of sarcasm.
Amon felt dread, his heart was beating erratically, the killing intent leaking out of the man before him, was tangible and it was strangling him.
"Nothing." Amon said as he stammered between words.
"That is the wrong answer." Vesper said as he summoned his halberd and swung, just as his halberd was about to cut through Amon, the wind bellowed as a figure draped in black stood before Vesper with a spear clashing against his halberd.
The figure was none other than Diane, Amon's mother.
A few moments earlier, the four of them were in the throne room, stating that the punishment was too severe for Vesper when, all of a sudden, they felt a large force of murderous intent seeping out from the direction their children were.
Extending their perception, they saw Vesper walking towards Amon before swinging his halberd. If Diane had not reacted fast enough, Amon would have been on his way to the afterlife.
With his halberd clashing against the queen's spear, Vesper did not back down. Instead, he said.
"Let him apologize for calling me a bastard and insulting my parents, else the end would be worse."
Catherine and Aurora had tears rolling down their eyes. They did not know which offence was worse, trying to kill the prince or threatening the queen, who was known for her unique nature.
"Is that so?" Diane's voice seeped out slowly and coldly, "I would like to see the end of this then."
She said as she brandished her spear, clashing with Vesper, sending him flying through the courtyard.
Marcus sat on his throne and did nothing, while Chloe was worried about Vespers' situation.
They all knew the person to anger the least in the imperial family was Diane. She would go at any length to make you suffer.
Diane stood and waved her hand, the spear vanished and was replaced with a whip. A red aura started to engulf her as her eyes turned from golden to pure red.
Anna looked and sighed, even if she hated Vesper, she felt Diane was doing too much by unleashing her berserk state.
"You mastered the halberd intent at such a young age, that is why I was reluctant to see you suffer, but you want to kill my son, then you should die." Diane said, as the whip in her hand was covered in a red aura and extended. As she whipped at Vesper, it tore his flesh and blood sprayed on the ground.
Aurora ran into the middle of the fight and held Vesper sobbing and pleading with him. "Big brother please, apologize to fourth mother."
Vesper was about to throw the body off him as he heard Aurora's voice, and he froze, his eyes reverted to their black colour, and he knelt down holding Aurora.
"I am sorry, Aurora, I have made you cry for me again." Vesper said while holding Aurora.
Earlier, Diane was about to whip Vesper when Aurora stepped in, and stopped, but after hearing Vesper console Aurora, her rage increased as she whipped at both of them.
It was then a voice thundered, causing their ears to ring, "ENOUGH!"
Marcus stood in front of Vesper and Aurora as he held the whip, preventing it from hitting them. Then he said, "Diane, you should take Amon and go to your castle. I will handle things from here."
Diane wanted to refute, but Marcus' gaze kept her mouth shut as she turned and walked up to Amon, a slapping sound reverberated across the courtyard, Amon's cheek was red as his mother hand slapped them.
"You stood there foolishly as if waiting to die. Follow me, I am going to teach you a lesson for allowing me to interfere in your fight." She said as she walked towards her castle with Amon walking behind her with a gloomy look.
"Aurora, go to your room, I am going to punish this boy personally." Marcus said as he waved his hands. Both him and Vesper disappeared, leaving the rest of the siblings staring at each other before walking to their rooms.
Inside a room in the Castle, Catherine and Chloe stood.
"Mum, please help him, plead with father, Vesper did not mean to kill Amon." Catherine pleaded with her mother.
"Enough Cath, I shall hear of this no more." Chloe's voice sounded.
"Even if the boy did not mean it, he almost did kill Amon. Also Diane will not let this pass if nothing is done to the boy. You need to understand Cath, there is nothing I can do." She said, holding her daughter.
"It is such a pity that this happened now. If Amara were here, he would not have suffered like this." Chloe continued with a sigh.
In another room, Aurora sat in her bed, looking at a picture of her mother. "Mother, Big Brother is in trouble, but this time, he will suffer a lot. He has suffered so much looking after me, mother, if he wished he could have left the castle, but he stayed for me, just as he promised you."
Aurora's sob filled the room.
"You do not need to worry Aurora, he will not be punished this time around. Amon deserved what was coming, don't you think." Marcus' voice came from the door.
Aurora saw her father and ran up into his arms sobbing, "Father please, Big Brother has always accepted the mockery, but I do not know what happened today."
Patting her head, Marcus smiled, looking at his daughter, "A person with the special space magic is considered very unpredictable. One minute they might be happy, the next they want to kill, but he has the bravery of an intent master. Never backing down from a fight."
"Father, where is Big Brother?" Aurora asked.
"I put him in a place that would help in his space magic and calm his mind."
