Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Underworld.

Point of view / ???

Every day that passes is always the same, every soul I observe, every sin I witness, makes me lose faith in humanity.

I... I don't know what to believe anymore, I have nowhere to go, I have no one to go with.

I... need a warm shoulder to rest my weary head on.

I...

Once upon a time... I had it a long time ago.

....

She was my wife... The love of my life, a delicate flower growing in the rot of this world.

But she...just abandoned me.

He left me behind in this hell.

"Why did you do it.... Persephone."

I gave everything I had, everything I could to make you fall in love and have a happy life as kings of the Underworld.

But still... You left me.

The only light that illuminated the darkness of my eyes, went away never to return.

....

I... can only see the souls of the fallen, the souls of people who have lost their lives in countless ways.

My duty as God is to watch over these mortal souls and decide their destiny.

I wanted to complain... But my brothers looked down on me.

My little brother, the king of Olympus, does nothing to fix the ills of mortals.

He simply ordered me to reincarnate for them...

For a moment I believed from the bottom of my heart, that they could change.

I thought I would finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

But... nothing changed.

All the sins of those humans only increased after reincarnation.

Each of them had selfish desires that clouded their actions and they forgot the grace of reincarnation that I gave them.

Their once pure souls became corrupted by the sin and chaos that a mere human mind can wreak when it has a minuscule amount of power.

All those worlds... Are shrouded in chaos, which once were beautiful paradises, are now sources of the purest of sins.

There are no rules, just... They unleash the demon within them.

And it all happened when my little brother ordered me to send the righteous souls to other worlds.

I... I can only see...

I can only attest to an almost infinite number of lives ruined by a mere whim of the reincarnated.

So many lives taken for a simple selfish desire.

So many futures destroyed.

....

But what I hate most was that my little brother forbade me from washing souls in the river of oblivion.

This caused an even greater wave of chaos, which apparently pleased Olympus.

Then came people who asked to be reincarnated in worlds as similar as possible to their fiction, just to fulfill their most repugnant and dark fantasies.

....

I don't want this anymore, I don't want to see human atrocities anymore.

I never imagined that human beings could be so... Despicable.

This is horrible, but I am obliged to indulge his wishes for reincarnation at my little brother's request.

I...

I never should have... accepted his suggestion.

....

I... I just want to rest, I just want to sleep.

But... why are they attacking me?

Why are my brothers killing me?

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

"From now on, I will control the course of life and death!"

Zeus hailed with all the vigor he possessed.

And with a kick, he threw me into the waters of oblivion, the River Lethe.

...

My vision was completely obscured.

I couldn't see anything in front of me.

It was an absolute abyss from which I could not escape.

I could only resign myself to my fate and die in oblivion.

But...

I woke up in the middle of a city, a deadly city, full of the humans I despise so much.

I shook my head from side to side in confusion at such an inexplicable event.

But loud screams bothered me, sounds like explosions left me slightly stunned.

What is this place? Why am I still alive?

I... still remember who I am, who I once was.

I arrived in front of a huge mirror and was surprised to see my new appearance.

He had black hair and eyes with a slight reddish tint.

I had a strong body, it seemed like I had trained all my life, unlike my other body, which was eaten away by age, eaten away by stress and heavy workloads.

At this, I felt happy, a great feeling of joy flooded my entire being.

And with that I knew that... Revenge was closer than ever.

In my state of euphoria, I began to shout to all the heavens that witness my arrival.

"Hahahaha damn bastard Gods, did you think you could kill me with just that?!"

"I, Hades, God of the Underworld, swear by my name that I will kill each and every god who dared to try to end my existence!"

This is my story, my legend, my life as a human who defies his own destiny by navigating between different universes in order to obtain my revenge.
