"Your name is Luis Moonvale, right? Are you here to learn how to build a Power Core?" Suddenly one of the students walked up to Luis, giving him a question.
The student was actually a woman and was very pretty with her long black hair in a ponytail while her bangs were straight down.
At school, she even wore a tie on her white shirt and a short skirt covered by long black stockings that practically covered her legs.
Her face could indeed be said to be very pretty with an oval shape, a sharp nose, and charming lips plus there was a small mole under her left eye that enhanced her unique impression.
Her name was Alice and probably the most popular student in this high school.
Not only was she beautiful, but she was also known as the most intelligent student.
Her grades were always the highest ever since she entered this school.
Her popularity had only increased due to her success in awaken and awaken a Spirit that was above average.
However, in terms of background, she was actually from an ordinary family.
Of course, since awaking a powerful Spirit, her life had changed.
Rumor had it that the Flying Star Empire High School was interested in recruiting her as their student, but she chose to remain at Velos High School.
She probably had a strong sense of nationalism towards Velos.
"Yes, I'd like to find out that information," Luis replied with a light nod.
"Hahaha!" Suddenly the bald man sitting on a nearby sofa laughed after he answered.
Luis looked at him while knitting his eyebrows as he continued, "I don't want to discourage you, but even some of us who have Spirit, haven't managed to build a Power Core. Do you think you who have no Spirit can succeed? It's not as easy as you think!"
Luis rolled his eyes at that.
This man seemed to just want to mock him and discourage him.
Only, Luis chose not to respond.
It wasn't that he was afraid, but creating a conflict here would only make things more difficult for him.
He acted like he hadn't heard anything and looked at Alice again.
This woman was known to have a good personality and would help those who needed help. She was supposed to be teaching him how to build a Power Core for Spiritless Awakeners.
"Follow me," she said as he looked at her.
She then walked over to a workbench at the end of the room.
It had stacks of documents and books on it.
Alice had him sit in front of the desk while she sat behind it.
"Read this first so that you understand well what the Power Core is..." She placed a magazine paper in front of him as she said that.
The first thing Luis saw on the paper was a picture of something similar to an iron ball with white lines on it.
On closer inspection, it wasn't actually a solid object, but light that seemed to have gathered in large amounts and then shrunk down to look like a solid object.
The image was so detailed that it perfectly replicated the object.
Luis knew instantly that it was the Power Core.
He then read the long text below the picture, which contained an introduction and the purpose of the Power Core.
It was said to be the place where the Awakeners then stored their powers where their powers would continue to evolve alongside their Power Core which could one day become a world in itself, a world for their powers.
However, building a Power Core was not easy.
It was basically a job that had to be left to the Spirit and the Spirit would build the Power Core for their owner once their EXP reached 100% at Level E.
Of course, Awakeners also had to help by providing what their Spirit needed to build the Power Core.
It requires external items but all things are not equal.
For example, Spirits with fire power, might need Souls and Monster Essences with fire power as one of the materials to build the Power Core.
The better the materials, the better the result.
The description was concise, yet enough to make Luis understand about the Power Core.
Only, he didn't find any information for Spiritless Awakeners.
Perhaps the description was like saying that without Spirit, you have no chance of building the Power Core. In other words, there was no chance to advance to Rank E+ and beyond.
Luis looked at Alice again who suddenly asked, "have you understood?"
"Yes," he said in response.
"For those of you who don't have a Spirit, building a Power Core is still possible. In fact, you can actually manage your Power Core more freely. It's just that, it requires a tool that is used as a substitute for Spirit. However, a tool like this is too expensive for you to buy. You don't even have to think about buying it, just rent it to the party that has it." Alice explained, finally giving Luis an epiphany.
"Where can I rent it?" he asked in an excited tone.
"I only know one, at that school," Alice replied as she pointed at the Flying Star Empire High School across the street.
Luis froze at that, not expecting that it was at that school.
When things involved the Flying Star Empire, things would get difficult.
"By the way, they don't usually ask for money as rent payment. Perhaps they will only ask you to carry out a difficult task. If you succeed, they will fulfill your request," Alice added.
"Hahahaha, Alice, you say that, what if it turns out that the task is to kill you? Wouldn't that be too much for him?" Suddenly someone replied to Alice's words.
What he said was of course quite shocking.
