Chapter 11 - Awakener Extracurricular

The high school Luis attended was in the city center and it was a free-dress school.

In the current era, only schools for children of residents of the Flying Star Empire were allowed to have school uniforms.

Velos residents are banned which is obviously to create an image that only residents of the Flying Star Empire attend school.

Some Velos residents can actually attend the Flying Star Empire School and even get school uniforms, but that's only for those whose parents have contributed a lot to the empire.

Nowadays, there are fewer schools but each one is huge.

The high school where Luis attends for example stands on an area ten times the size of a football field with one very large building.

It had over ten thousand students and opposite it was the Flying Star Empire High School which was much smaller because their population on Planet Velos was not large.

They had less than a thousand students, only hundreds.

And their high school seemed very closed, surrounded by high walls that practically made it difficult for people to see inside.

Most of them also came in luxury flying cars that drove straight into the school.

In almost three years of schooling here, Luis had hardly seen a single face of a student from the Flying Star Empire.

In the morning, his high school was crowded with many different faces.

Some were very confident and some were very humble.

Their demeanor practically defined their background.

Although his high school consisted of only one building, it had many entrances that divided many areas.

One of them was the extracurricular area.

Luis headed straight to that area which was also divided into many rooms.

And his destination was the Awakener Extracurricular.

The number of awakeners in this high school was very small, only about 50 out of more than 10,000 students.

This didn't mean there were too few who could awaken, but most didn't dare to try because their situation was like Luis', not having the certainty of awakening a Spirit.

Therefore, of those 50 awakeners, most had spirits, very few did not have spirits and most were impulsive people like Luis.

When he arrived at the door of the open extracurricular Awakener, Luis saw a man wearing glasses sweeping the floor.

He was thin and had long hair, exuding a clear gloomy aura.

Luis naturally recognized him. He was one of the most famous students in this high school.

His name was Aldo and he was one of the Spiritless Awakeners.

He was often bullied even by those who were not Awakeners, but lately, he had risen to Level F+.

His strength was starting to surpass that of ordinary humans significantly, so the bullying against him was drastically reduced since he had already beaten up a few students.

Of course, in Awakener Extracurricular, he was still on the lowest rung of the ladder which meant he had to accept cleaning duties.

Here, everyone could punch him in the face until he cried.

Looking at Luis, he knitted his brows.

"Are you the new Spiritless Awakener?" He asked him.

Luis was a little surprised to hear that, not expecting the news about him to have spread to this school.

However, this was not unusual. This school had a wide network of information, it wouldn't be surprising if they got information about one of their students who had tried to awaken.

If that student succeeded in awakening the Spirit, it would be a celebration.

If it failed, of course there was no celebration.

"Yes!" Luis nodded to Aldo in response.

He was curious as to what he was going to do to him.

The problem was that he could feel the gaze of wanting to bully the other person from him.

Just as he nodded, the man suddenly pointed his broom at him.

"If you want to join this extracurricular, you have to sweep here every day," he said in an indifferent tone, giving him orders.

Luis instantly showed a strange expression hearing that.

This man obviously considered him to be at Level F and felt he had a higher rank than him.

Before responding, Luis looked into the extracurricular room first.

It was bigger than he had expected and the facilities were made up of luxurious items.

Of course, there were already people inside. He saw about fifteen people who were divided into groups and were chatting casually.

They naturally noticed his arrival and Aldo's words asking him to sweep the floor made them stare at them with interested expressions.

It was as if they were watching two kittens who wanted to fight.

Luis looked at Aldo again then shook his head.

"I don't want to sweep," he said.

"What?"

Aldo was dumbfounded at his answer.

However, Luis was already taking steps to enter the extracurricular room.

"You?" Aldo looked incredulous at his actions.

He suddenly tried to grab his shoulder to stop him.

However, he casually patted his hand.

Hua!

The sudden touch from him made the man stagger and almost fall.

The students inside the extracurricular room were naturally shocked to see that, making them squint their eyes.

There was even one of them who then used Magic Glasses to look at Luis' stats, just like Walker's.

"Level E, Estimated Power 108, didn't he just awaken yesterday, how is he already at Level E?" The person said in surprise when he saw Luis' stats.

"Really?" The others showed expressions of disbelief hearing that.

And that person handed his glasses to one of his friends for him to see for himself.

"It's true," the person said, just as surprised as the owner of the glasses.

"Unbelievable, he has no Spirit, but in one day has already risen to Level E, how many monsters has he killed? This can't be unless there is someone helping him fight."

"Or maybe he met a high-level monster that was injured to the point of immobilization and he killed it with one touch?"

"That's also possible, things like this can happen sometimes."

Luis became the students' discussion and he did not plan to hide his level.

The problem was that it was indeed impossible as long as he was still alive with other people above this world.

While he was being casual, Aldo froze when he saw him.

Of course, the other students still didn't take Luis seriously.

They were all at least at Level E and possessed a Spirit, this meant they were stronger than him.
