Scar moved swiftly through the shadows of the Outlands, his mind calculating and sharp. The rival pride had been a problem for some time—small, but fierce, and now, they had something Scar needed: strength. The land they occupied was dominated by wild buffalo, a constant source of prey but also a challenge to hunt. The pride had become lean and strong from this constant battle. But Scar saw it differently: if he could take control of this pride, he would have the muscle needed to challenge Mufasa's rule.
The lionesses, however, would not be so difficult. Scar had dealt with the males—there could be no room for them in his plans. They were a threat to Zira's future, a future he intended to shape.
As darkness fell over the land, Scar slipped silently into the rival pride's territory. The males were sleeping, unaware of the predator creeping into their midst. Scar's claws flashed as he moved. In a blur of motion, he struck—his first target was the largest of the males, a hulking brute who was dead before he even knew Scar was there. The second male didn't have time to react, as Scar quickly subdued him with ruthless precision.
The male cubs, too, had to be dealt with. They were young now, but one day they could become a threat, and Scar had no intention of leaving rivals behind. The killings were quick, efficient, as Scar's mind focused on his goal: securing power for Zira and the Outlanders.
Once the males and cubs were no longer a threat, Scar stood tall and glanced over the land. It was now time to speak with Zira.
He made his way back to where she waited. The night air was thick with the scent of buffalo and the excitement of victory. Zira was watching the horizon, her dark eyes glowing with anticipation.
When Scar approached, Zira turned, and her gaze softened the moment she saw him. Her admiration for him was evident in the way her eyes softened.
"I've dealt with them," Scar said simply, his voice calm and cold. "The males are gone, and the land is yours now. The lionesses are yours to lead."
Zira's eyes glittered with trust as she stepped closer. "You've done it again, Scar," she said, her voice low, almost reverent. "I knew you'd succeed. I knew you could do this."
Scar gave a single nod. "This land is fertile, and the buffalo here will make your pride stronger. The fighting will be difficult, but the meat they provide will make your lions tough. You'll gain the strength needed to face anyone."
Zira's gaze was filled with admiration, the fire of loyalty burning bright in her eyes. "And what about the lionesses?" she asked. "How do I bring them into the fold?"
Scar's lips curled slightly. "Integrate them with your own pride. They're strong, and their numbers will give you the advantage. The buffalo aren't easy prey, but with the right training, they'll give your pride the power it needs."
Zira nodded eagerly. "You're right. We'll get stronger, Scar. I'll make sure they're ready. We'll hunt buffalo, become leaner, faster… and stronger."
Scar's eyes flickered with approval. "That's the plan. And don't forget the older pride. They have twenty lionesses. Bring them into your fold. The more lionesses you have, the more strength you'll command. You need numbers, Zira. The more, the better."
Zira stepped closer to Scar, her soft eyes filled with admiration. "I trust you, Scar. You've always known what's best. I'll lead them with your guidance. You've shown me the way forward."
Scar gave a slight nod, the weight of his plans beginning to unfold as he stood there, his presence commanding. "Remember, the buffalo will make you stronger. They're the key to your pride's success. The fighting will be fierce, but it will be worth it."
Zira's voice was barely a whisper now, her trust in Scar palpable. "I'll do whatever it takes, Scar. For you. For us."
Scar turned away, his gaze focused on the future. He had set the pieces in motion. Now, it was up to Zira to carry out the plan. The Outlanders would grow, stronger than ever before. And with Scar's help, Zira would rise to power, building an army capable of challenging Mufasa's pride.
As Scar disappeared into the shadows of the Outlands, his thoughts drifted to the future. Zira's pride would become a force to be reckoned with. It was just the beginning.
