Chapter 3 - The Touch

"Yeah, I'm fine… Ya-ya, you don't need to worry, sweetheart," Christine spoke to Anna with her phone pressed between her ear and shoulder. Toasts popped out of the toaster with a pop sound. She put them into plate. The tea too was ready.

"I'll talk to you later. Take care."

Christine hung up the call and got busy with her breakfast. These days were pretty much stressful for her. She had got to write some new content for the publications. While this shifting of the house had developed a kind of blockage of ideas in her head. It had been a while that she didn't create some new stuff. Something thrilling, some heated up romance. While she aspired to write something that would earn her an admiration enough like Rowling, ever since she had started to write. But never she had got that famous. Only for the magazines she wrote; for some websites and sometimes simple articles for newspapers. Anyways, she finished her toasts and now it was time for her to get busy again.

Five minutes later she was at her working table. Half an hour passed and the pen was still on her upper lip. All she had created by now were just some silly drawings at the edges of the notebook and some crumbled pages thrown down at the floor. Troubled, she took off her specs and put her head down on the table. She closed her eyes. Moments passed. And soon she felt her head being stroked. It was a gentle touch. A hand that she loved being fondled by. It wasn't at all awkward. It was so relaxing that she forgot all her tensions for a while. And as soon as she recalled them, she was tensed. A teardrop sneaked out of the corner of her eye.

"ANNA" she whispered softly. Then she recalled she was in her new so called sweet-home, and all of a sudden, she put her head up. But there was nobody to be seen, just like before. Once again, she had seen a similar dream…

It was indeed too hard for the girl to make anything productive out of her time, or even to let it pass. Although, Instagram helped her with that. But how much could it had done so? Just for rest of the afternoon it worked out. What she wanted currently she wasn't herself aware. Looking for some inspiration she passed the evening too. Then again like every other day, she went for jogging; under the same shade of those same trees, same welding light and its sputtering sound. At night she cleaned her dishes while listening to music. And as it was night it was time to sleep again. This time she considered writing nothing. For she preferred giving her skill a break. She was in her bed when a thought popped up in her mind. Thought of those dreams she had seen twice. She felt she might see that again. But disregarding that she slept. Afterall, those were just dreams and nothing else.

Christine was in a deep sleep. She was dreaming. Fortunately, she was. Watching what she usually fantasized- a kiss. A man giving her that peculiar sensation on the neck. Then she experienced the love bite. That guy gave her one, passionately. She saw it; or probably felt it. She could actually feel it, it was that intense a feeling; a pleasure. And after this, her sleep broke. Her eyelids were stuck as if they were glued. Christine, without opening her eyes touched that same area on the neck. She moaned as she felt the pain. She had actually been bitten!
