"Uhh..."
Tang San also looked completely dumbfounded. He had never expected Ma Hongjun to be this stupid—he even managed to hurt himself with his own soul skill.
Even Tang San couldn't bear to watch anymore.
Too dumb. Beyond salvation.
And the opponents burst out laughing.
"Hahaha... this guy is hilarious!"
"..."
"Second Soul Skill: White Tiger Light Wave!"
Dai Mubai erupted in a pale light as his spirit possessed him. His muscles bulged, the "王" symbol appeared on his forehead, his hands doubled in size, covered in white fur, and claws like eight-inch daggers extended from his palms. His eyes turned a deep, dark blue with double pupils.
"Roar…"
"Ding! Story Modification Mission Triggered."
[Dai Mubai suddenly shot a milky-white energy ball toward Zhang Fan and his team.] Four words can be modified.
Zhang Fan immediately changed "Zhang Fan and his team" to "Tang San and his team."
Dai Mubai suddenly shot a milky-white energy ball toward Tang San and his team.
"Boom…"
A terrifying shockwave swept toward Tang San's team in an instant.
"Boom…"
Tang San, who had just taken out a simplified version of the Mother-Child Chasing Soul-Breaking Bomb, was blown away by the blast of light.
Oscar also rolled and slid across the ground, screaming in pain.
Hair in a mess, clothes in tatters.
Even Tang San's hair was blown straight back.
The bomb in his hand almost exploded.
"Uhh..."
Yu Xiaogang was instantly petrified at the sight, letting out a goose-like honk, staring at the scene in total shock.
Flender and Zhao Wuji were also frozen in place, both letting out the same honk:
"Uhh…"
Flender had always thought highly of Dai Mubai. This guy had always been the genius the academy planned to cultivate. But after being assigned to Yu Xiaogang...
He turned into this?
Attacking his own teammates?
Was this guy an undercover sent by Zhang Fan?
Zhao Wuji was probably thinking the same:
"Are you a spy?"
"I... I'm not! I was aiming at Zhang Fan and them just now! I don't know what happened—it just went out of control... and I hit my own team!"
Dai Mubai looked totally innocent and self-blaming, like a kid who just got caught breaking something.
"Boss Dai, you did that on purpose!"
Ma Hongjun climbed up from the ground nearby, his clothes torn from Dai Mubai's blast.
"You two..."
Tang San was fuming at both of them:
"With you guys like this, how are we supposed to win!?"
"Hahaha…"
Xiao Wu laughed so hard her stomach hurt. They hadn't even started the fight, and they were already beating each other up? Too damn funny.
"Heehee…"
Ning Rongrong also laughed out loud. She hadn't expected Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun to be this ridiculous—they were going to kill her from laughter.
"Ridiculous."
Zhu Zhuqing's face flushed red from holding back laughter.
Zhang Fan, knowing full well that he was the one behind all this, didn't laugh as crazily as the others.
Still, pulling strings from behind the curtain—was satisfying as hell.
"You've lost!"
Zhang Fan prepared to strike. The Heavenly Mourning Sword in his hand was crackling with purple lightning—intensely violent and chaotic.
"Heh... I haven't even made my move yet!"
Tang San said confidently.
"Divine Demon Step!"
As Zhang Fan spoke, a fierce, demonic aura enveloped Tang San and his team, making them feel as if gods and devils were staring straight into their souls. Their bodies froze.
Like they had been filled with molten lead.
"Clang…"
"Second Soul Skill: One Sword Freezes Nineteen Provinces."
The lightning sword in Zhang Fan's hand suddenly became wrapped in intense cold, radiating a chilling aura that dropped the surrounding temperature by several degrees.
The extreme cold made Tang San, already slowed by fear, move even slower.
"No!"
Dai Mubai saw the incoming strike, his face changed drastically, and he shouted anxiously:
"That's the move that froze Teacher Zhao! Fly! Into the sky!"
But they were moving like ants—way too slow to dodge.
"Whoosh…"
Zhang Fan held his sword with one hand and slashed from right to left.
"Wow… that sword move is so cool!"
Xiao Wu gasped, eyes full of admiration for Zhang Fan's pose—green robes, long sword, a slash that brought snow and ice to the sky.
"Wow... his coolness is unmatched!"
Ning Rongrong felt like light was shining from Zhang Fan. Like he was Diga (Ultraman). She was fangirling hard.
"Wow! So cool!"
Zhu Zhuqing saw Zhang Fan slash like lightning—a blue sword beam burst from the blade.
"Zing…"
Tang San bit his tongue. The intense pain allowed him to move again, and he hurled the Mother-Child Chasing Soul-Breaking Bomb.
"Whoosh…"
Tang San thought he had it.
But the blue sword beam flashed right past him.

Everything it passed was frozen.
Even the bomb was frozen mid-air.
"Crack..."
"Crackle…"
The sound of ice forming erupted all around.
"Crap! Dodge!"
Zhao Wuji immediately pulled Yu Xiaogang to the side.
"Clang…"
Zhang Fan's sword beam slashed right through the spot where Yu Xiaogang had just been.
"Crackle…"
In a flash, everything around was frozen.
Dai Mubai, Tang San, Ma Hongjun, Oscar—all turned into ice sculptures.
Solid ice statues.
Even the bomb, the grass, and the house behind them were frozen.
The scene was jaw-droppingly stunning.
Everyone except Zhang Fan was frozen in place, dumbfounded.
"Wow!"
Xiao Wu exclaimed:
"What an absurd scene! We didn't even have to fight, and the enemies are already defeated! So boring!"
"Yeah."
Zhu Zhuqing had been itching for a fight, but the opponents were either going nuts or turning into fools.
She was speechless.
"Alright, Xiao Gang, you've lost!"
Flender shrugged.
"See that? That's the overwhelming gap in power. Zhang Fan only needed one move. Whatever hidden weapons Tang San had were instantly frozen. He didn't even get to use them."
"Exactly! You've lost!" Zhao Wuji nodded.
"Damn it!!"
Yu Xiaogang clenched his teeth, unwilling to admit it—but Tang San and the others really had lost.
And worse—they were totally annihilated.
"We lost! Hurry up and melt the ice off them!"
Yu Xiaogang shouted, clearly worried about Tang San's safety.
"Alright."
Zhang Fan nodded. With a wave of his hand, the ice began to melt away.
Tang San and the others stumbled out of their frozen prisons:
"Huff... So cold!"
They were shivering.
"Now do you see how powerful my Brother Fan is?" Xiao Wu said smugly.
"Alright then, since you lost, that means Yu Xiaogang has to follow my orders for one day!"
Zhang Fan gave a mischievous grin as he looked at Yu Xiaogang.
"Hmph!" Tang San and the others huddled beside Yu Xiaogang, shivering from the cold.
"Damn it!"
Ma Hongjun and the others were utterly defeated.
They looked like total messes.
Meanwhile, Zhang Fan's team was completely fine—their clothes were still spotless.
"So, what are your orders?" Yu Xiaogang gritted his teeth and asked.
