Dai Mubai suddenly swung his fist in a strange arc, changing its target from Ma Hongjun to the unsuspecting Tang San, who had been watching from the side.
"Ah…"
Tang San, sensing the wind rushing toward him, didn't think it had anything to do with him—until the corner of his eye caught sight of the fist meant for Ma Hongjun veering straight for his face.
Bang— a solid punch to the face.
Tang San let out a miserable scream as he was knocked flying sideways, his face twisted.
His previously de-swollen face instantly swelled up again again again.
He was instantly enraged.
Dai Mubai froze on the spot, stunned:
"What just happened? Why did I punch Tang San?I was clearly aiming for Ma Hongjun!"
An inexplicable sense of panic rose in his heart.
"Haha… Boss Dai, you're clearly taking this chance to get revenge. After all, you used to be the most talented one at the academy, but now not only is Zhang Fan ahead of you, Tang San is too. Of course you're pissed.
You can't beat Zhang Fan, so you're taking it out on Tang San."
Ma Hongjun immediately started speculating loudly.
"You fat bastard, you've got a death wish, talking about me like that!"
Dai Mubai flew into a rage and lunged at Ma Hongjun.
Tang San, meanwhile, flipped up from the ground and activated Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, charging at Dai Mubai.
In an instant, the three of them were chasing and beating the crap out of each other.
"Ahhh!"
"Owwww!"
They fought and fought—until it was just straight-up mutual brawling.
"What the… What's gotten into them? Just randomly throwing hands with each other…"
Xiao Wu watched gleefully, looking quite entertained.
"Uhh… they're really going at it!" Even Ning Rongrong found it hard to believe.
"Master's teaching is next-level!"
If Grandmaster heard Zhu Zhuqing say that, he'd probably cough up blood on the spot.
"Ahhh… owww…" The more they fought, the more intense it got.
It turned into pure madness, full-on chaos, and soon they were all bleeding and bruised.
"What are you doing?!"
Yu Xiaogang ran over and shouted sternly:
"This is how you act as teammates?"
"Damn… Teacher!"
Tang San, hearing his teacher's voice, blinked over to Yu Xiaogang's side:
"It was Dai Mubai! He started it by hitting me!"
"That was an accident! I didn't do it on purpose!" Dai Mubai said awkwardly.
"Wuwuwu…"
Ma Hongjun, the weakest of them, got beaten the worst. His face was a swollen mess:
"Master, those two bullied me with their strength!"
"Enough! All three of you are getting punished. Run one hundred laps with weighted gear—from Shrek to Soto City and back!"
Yu Xiaogang's face was dead serious as he barked out the punishment.
"One hundred laps?!"
Ma Hongjun nearly died on the spot:
"Master… you're trying to kill us!"
"Master, that's way too much!"
Even Dai Mubai was stunned—just ten laps used to be exhausting.
"This is your lesson for today. If you can't finish it, don't come back to the academy."
Yu Xiaogang turned to leave after laying down the law.
"You really raised some wild students."
Zhang Fan strolled over and gave Yu Xiaogang a thumbs-up.
"Heh… My teaching style doesn't need your approval. Just worry about yourself—don't come crying when you lose."
Yu Xiaogang spoke with full confidence.
"We'll see who's crying then," Zhang Fan sneered.
Xiao Wu, sensing the tension, quickly stepped in:
"Brother Fan… how do I train this?"
"It's simple!"
Zhang Fan began guiding Xiao Wu in practicing Dance of Lightning.
Meanwhile, Yu Xiaogang called over Oscar to join the runners:
"You four must learn to never abandon each other, never give up. Work as one, and that's enough."
"Yes!" Tang San and the others replied.
"Ding, dialogue modification mission triggered."
[Yu Xiaogang said seriously: If you get tired while running, you can eat Xiao Ao's sausage!]You may modify up to three characters.
Zhang Fan grinned evilly and reached out to the system window in front of him, inserting two characters in front of "sausage"—"laxative sausage."Now, the sausage was laced with laxatives. Eating it would make them spray for an entire day.
Zhang Fan felt like a genius.
"Ding, dialogue modification successful. Minor storyline chaos. Reward: 30 modification points."
Yu Xiaogang said seriously:
"If you get tired while running, you can eat Xiao Ao's laxative sausage!"
He said the words laxative sausage in such a low voice that even he barely heard it. The others only caught the word "sausage."
"Alright! Sausage for everyone!"
[Latest chapters at 69 Book Bar first release!]
Oscar nodded. With sausages, everything was much easier.
But running with weights was still no joke.
"With Xiao Ao around, he's practically our healer!"
Dai Mubai felt pretty good—though his face was still swollen, obviously from Tang San's beating.
Except for Oscar, the other three looked like swollen pig heads as they ran forward.
The first few laps weren't too bad.
After all, they'd done this before.
But after a while, exhaustion crept in, and Ma Hongjun was the first to falter:
"Xiao Ao, gimme a sausage!"
"You got it!"
Oscar nodded, soul rings lighting up beneath his feet. A flash of yellow light, and a sausage appeared in his hand, which he handed to Ma Hongjun.
"Get me one too!"
Dai Mubai smelled the aroma and felt a bit hungry.
"Me too!"
Tang San was also tired—might as well fill the belly and restore a bit of soul power and health.
After all, his face was hella swollen.
All thanks to Dai Mubai's heavy-handed strike.
Oscar also made one for himself.
The four of them munched on sausages together—the taste was surprisingly good, and they fully enjoyed it.
They quickly finished their sausages.
"That was great! Gimme another!"
Ma Hongjun held out his hand for seconds.
Tang San and Dai Mubai also each took another, eating contentedly.
Zhang Fan had no idea they ate two sausages each.
He was busy cultivating with the three girls.
Soon after, they went to eat, while Tang San and the others, having finished their laxative sausages, suddenly felt violent stomach pain—a churning tsunami rushing to their rears.
"Ugh… what's going on? I feel like I'm about to explode!"
Dai Mubai's face went pale, cold sweat pouring down, one hand clutching his stomach, the other his butt.
"Haha! Boss Dai, what'd you eat, man?"
Ma Hongjun chuckled, not realizing his own fate was incoming.
"Nothing unusual!"
Dai Mubai immediately bolted for the bushes. BOOM—and the explosion began.
Ma Hongjun, still laughing, suddenly went pale and frowned:
"Wait… why is my stomach hurting too?"
Karma hit instantly. Ma Hongjun went from smug to miserable in seconds:
"What the hell is happening?!"
Tang San also realized something was wrong. His expression twisted, he gritted his teeth, holding his gut and backside:
"I'm a poison expert! I have super-sensitive taste! How could I get food poisoning?!"
Utterly confused and in agony, he ran like a frantic ant toward the bushes.
BOOM!
Explosion initiated.
Ma Hongjun also dashed into the bushes.
BOOM!The second wave of hell began.
