Chapter 6 - It begins

The mana bells went on signifying breakfast, Alistair annoyed by the bells used his pillow and tried to block of the noise.

'Thank goodness today's a free day or else I would have.... forget it' an unknown feeling crept into his mind but quickly vanished.

He had a lot on his mind and this pocket of time was greatly appreciated, he wasn't going to spend the whole day in his room right?

That was his initially train of thought , he wanted to rest but he understood that laziness wouldn't solve his problems, he won't let this world define him, when he almost lost his mind during the night a memory resurface of him back on earth of how he let his problems solve themselves ,he had a flawed mindset that led him to make the worst decision ever.

When he remembered this he was filled with anger, his self loathe increased drastically. He hated how even when granted a new life , a fresh start when he was met with things he couldn't comprehend or were far from his reach he... wanted to give up throw it all out the window and just...

'Go with the flow, I was acting like a child clinging on to logic and reasoning up until this point that I had already given up subconsciously'

His mind even though it was still shaken by all the things that transpired since his transmigration, he wanted to change neither for Noel nor Alistair he wanted to become better, stronger, someone who's had the will and resolve unmatched.

"Alright enough rambling time to act" he faced his ceiling with a wide grin as if telling the heavens to throw all it had but he was prepared, he would not despair not now or in the future. He got up and changed into something more free to move since he wanted to go and train till he collapsed. He wore white pants, a black tank top and a coat so we won't be called a creep showing his arms and the tank top was like a second layer of skin, he felt uncomfortable.

He had one destination in mind.

"The elemental domes"

As he navigated through the large hallway he looked outside the large windows there he saw it.

"The grand spire" he muttered under his breath. The Grand Spire caught the sunlight like a blade. Its floating rings—constantly spinning—channeled mana from the heavens in visible arcs. Most students gawked the first time they saw it. I didn't. I saw it for what it was: a beacon for power... and for war.

Within its mirrored halls sat the Council—and the Headmaster. Kaelor Myrveil. The man whose eyes looked like they saw through skin and soul alike. I didn't trust him. Not because he was wrong, but because he wasn't. He saw too much. He had not come in contact with him yet in the academy at least.

It's was grand if not for Alistair's memories he would have been awestruck but compared to others this appear....

' Normal, if not expected '

His destination the elemental domes was were a subdivision for the veilforge chambers. It also hosted The Shattered Ring: A magically reinforced arena with adjustable terrain and atmospheric effects for duel training.Soul mirror vaults: where students face projections of their soul for progression tests.

"Just how big is this academy for heavena sake!"

Alistair was beyond frustrated he had been walking for a while and was still far from his destination. The good thing was that no one was around they were mostly training.

'Two months till the first major assessment then we'll be ranked according to our performance.'

"Guess there's no time to rest." From his observations throughout the week since his transmigration he came to a realisation that he may have power but doesn't now how to use it. He tried some spells but couldn't seem to get them to work, then he thought maybe he should change environment to see if there would be a change.

Minutes past as he walked the endless hallways with twists and turns, as he approached the domes the number of nearby students increased hinting to the fact that they all were going to the same destination.

He arrived at a semi spherical structure forged from obsidian-touched basalt at the entrance stud a statue.

"Lady Zephyra Ashveil, the first Archflame Magus, or so they say."Alistair mumbled under his breath.

A statue of Lady Zephyra Ashveil, the first Archflame Magus, stands at the entrance—eternally weeping fire, said to symbolize the duality of destruction and creation. Alistair stared at it for a few moments then he headed for the entrance ready for what ever is thrown at him.
