The dormitory was quiet. Rain whispered against the arched windows, blurring the outside lamps in golden halos. Alistair sat at his desk, the amber glow of a rune-lantern casting flickering shadows across scattered scrolls.
As it turns out the situation is more complicated than I initially thought'
From all that transpired he had come to a realization
"My situation is more complex than I initially thought, I thought I was just a spoiled brat but...."
He looked out the window 'its been raining since classes ended' thought Alistair. From his fractured memories to his relationships with others paired with his whole transmigration he had a headache. He had no clue on what to do, he felt lost, abandoned left in the cold night to survive on his own.
He also felt frustrated by his own being, he hated that he couldn't do anything about his situation, his self loathe was high.
'Stupid! can't even see a way forward, I hate this'
He hated something he couldn't change, he was not smart average at best when it came to studies and physical in his past life.He wasn't a fan of anything to be particularly, what ever caught his attention he would try if I didn't work out he'd quit.He had no special trait , he was just normal.
He opened his palm ' ignis'
A golden flame with the hint a red sparked to life the size of a candle flame. He starred at it for a moment the closed his palm extinguishing it . He felt no heat from it , in fact he couldn't unless he added more mana into it . But his reserves weren't that high in the grand scheme of power he was weak.
' igniter' thought Alistair bitterly. He was currently in the third stage embers of arcana . To advance to stage four forge of essence, he needed to enter inner realm to stabilise his identity. His soul scape
but he had no clue on how to get 'there' ,he had a basic rundown of the process but lacked the mean to get there.
"From the aura Eveline was emitting it's safe to say she has already reached stage four," this irked him in ways he didn't understand, cause to him she was still a stranger, he had not come to terms his identity as Alistair. From all he saw from his fragmented memories and heard rumours about, he hated his new identity more than his own powerlessness.
*Sigh* a sigh escaped his lips , he was been sighing a lot lately. Seeing he wasn't going anywhere with his whole thinking, he opened a cabinet below his desk and took out the mirror. Since it appeared he wasn't taken a good look at it.
He stared at his image for a few minutes studying his facial features. But something caught his eye though that terrified him to his very core. His 'image' sometimes blinked out of sync.
"What the hell," this was what came out of his mouth subconsciously. His image noticing it has been caught in the act gave Alistair a knowing smile that didn't quite reach his ears and faded.
His mind was blank from fear, his body trembling, his fits clenched till they turned white.
'This has to been some twisted joke' he placed the mirror back in the cabinet and locked it, he made no unnecessary movements ,his body moved fast than his mind then he got up and fell on his bed.
"Hahahaha," he abruptly in laughter, all this to him made no sense from living a life that is not his to fragmented memories to now this . He stayed here laughing his heart out. His mind didn't even try to comprehend anything up to this point, it was tired same as him.
Moments later did his stop , he come to the realisation that he had been doing the same thing as when he was back on earth.
"Running away from the problems,"
He wasn't the bravest or the brightest but in this new world he had no choice. Clenching his fits and raising his arm.
" I have to adapt...fast" As for what he would do he had no clue but now he had motivation, determination he would not fall to madness.
And now with a clear mind he stay up for a while think of a way forward. This small step of his awoken something within that started taking shape. The more he convinced him the definite the shape became.
