Chapter 66 - Chapter-61 Assasins

With the recent developments in his territory having reached a satisfactory point, Arthur decided it was time to shift his focus to gathering intelligence on a matter of paramount importance. He summoned Diana, one of his most trusted operatives, through his unique ability.

After a brief interval, Diana arrived at the lord's house, her demeanor composed and attentive. Arthur's expression was grave as he outlined her mission.

"Diana, I require your utmost attention and discretion for a task of great significance. I want you to assemble all of our assassins and conduct a thorough investigation into the city from which Kazu originated. Your primary objectives are to gather comprehensive intelligence on the city's current situation, assess their military preparedness, and determine whether they are planning to take any action against our territory."

Arthur's voice was laced with a sense of urgency, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

"The power of a city should not be underestimated, and I fear that our current strength may not be sufficient to withstand a full-scale assault. Therefore, it is imperative that we understand their intentions and capabilities. I want every shred of information you can gather: their troop numbers, military strategies, economic stability, and any potential alliances or rivalries that could impact our relations with them."

Diana listened intently, her expression reflecting her understanding of the task's importance. She nodded solemnly, acknowledging the weight of the responsibility placed upon her.

"I will personally oversee the operation, my lord," she assured him. "You can rely on me to gather the most accurate and detailed information possible. I will not disappoint you."

"Diana, this matter is of great importance, but I want to emphasize that your safety and the lives of your team are paramount," Arthur said with a serious tone.

"If at any point you feel that the mission is compromised, or you are in danger of being caught, do not hesitate to fall back immediately. I would rather have you return with incomplete information than risk losing any of you. Your lives are invaluable to me, and I will not compromise them for any objective, no matter how crucial."

Arthur's words conveyed his concern for Diana's well-being, and he looked at her with a stern expression, making sure she understood the gravity of his words.

"Your mission is to gather intelligence, not to take unnecessary risks. If you sense even the slightest hint of danger, abort the mission and return to me. I will not hold it against you."

"Understood, my lord. I will prioritize our safety and gather information discreetly. If danger arises, we will retreat immediately."

Diana's smile deepened, her eyes shining with gratitude. Her tone was filled with warmth, reflecting her appreciation for Arthur's concern for his people.

With her mission clearly defined and a sense of purpose, Diana made her way to the soldiers' camp, where she gathered all assassins for the task. After a brief but thorough briefing, they began their preparations, donning attire suitable for stealth and concealment.

Once ready, Diana led her team out of the territory, setting off towards the city from which Kazu had originated. They moved swiftly and silently, their footsteps light as they traversed the landscape, their eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of danger.

As they journeyed, Diana's thoughts turned to Arthur's words, and she felt a sense of pride and loyalty towards her lord. She was determined to gather the information he needed, while ensuring the safety of her team. With a deep breath, she focused on the mission ahead, her senses heightened as they drew closer to their destination.

After that, Arthur summoned all the heroes to his lord house, and once they had assembled, he issued his directives.

"Silver Starlight Unit, Silver Eagle Unit, Silver Steel Unit, and Silver Blade Unit, I want you to focus on hunting in the monster gathering areas," he instructed.

"Your mission will be to eliminate the high-density monster clusters, reducing the threat to our territory and its surroundings."

Turning to the remaining units, he continued, "The rest of you will focus on training within the territory, ensuring our defenses are robust and our warriors are battle-ready. Additionally, you are authorized to hunt monsters within a 5-10 km radius of our territory. This will help us maintain control over our immediate surroundings and provide valuable experience for our troops."

Arthur's strategy was clear: he aimed to utilize his elite units for high-risk, high-reward missions while bolstering the territory's defenses and developing the skills of his other warriors.

But then, George and Lily stood out among the heroes, their faces set with determination. "My lord, my Bronze Steel Unit is also capable of fighting," George said, his voice firm. "We want to join the hunt, my lord. This is an opportunity for my soldiers to gain experience and level up to higher ranks."

Lily nodded in agreement, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "I concur, my lord. My Arcane Circle Unit is also eager to participate in the hunt. We believe our skills would be valuable in the monster gathering areas."

Arthur sighed, considering their requests. He had made the decision to divide the units based on the territory's needs, prioritizing defense and stability after the protection period had ended. However, he couldn't deny the passion and determination of George and Lily.

"I understand your eagerness," Arthur said while chuckling and then explained to them.

Arthur elaborated on his plan, "I understand your enthusiasm, George and Lily. To clarify, I'm not limiting the hunt to just the four Silver Units. After they return from their mission, the Bronze Units – Bronze Steel, Bronze Blade, Bronze Eagle, and Bronze Starlight – will head out to hunt at noon. This will give them valuable experience and help them level up."

He continued, "Later, in the evening, the Silver Thunder Unit, Arcane Circle Unit, Mystic Circle Unit, and Paragon Guardian Unit will take their turn to hunt. This rotation will ensure that our units get adequate rest and training, while also maximizing our territory's output and safety."

With this plan, Arthur aimed to utilize his units efficiently, providing opportunities for growth and development while maintaining the territory's defenses. George and Lily seemed satisfied with the explanation, their faces reflecting their understanding of the strategy.
