After the tense atmosphere was dismissed, the host began to do her job by lightening the mood of the people. Derrick, being a comedian, was a great help to her with his witty comments. Everyone was getting back on track.
All except for the blue mascot standing in front of Viviana. The mascot was now the sole victim of the blank stare of the actress. The lady did not look like a 'prisoner' he captured.
With her back straight, legs neatly joined and her arms across her chest, Viviana made the person behind the costume feel like he was the prisoner and the actress in front of him, the executioner.
But he was saved by the host who began the game as scheduled.
"Now that we have the player and the prisoners, let us pick up our first question."
Saying that, the host picked up a folded paper from the bowl where all the questions were placed.
"Your first question is…." Tang Tang unfolded the paper as she announced.
"What word is spelled incorrectly in the dictionary?"
"…"
None of the two players pressed the bell. Both were thinking of what the answer to the question would be.
"What word is spelled incorrectly in the dictionary? Does a dictionary have a word which is spelled wrong?" Bryson thought out loud.
"Wouldn't that be a faulty dictionary?" Na Yun also wondered in confusion.
"Then isn't the question wrong?"
"There should be no answer to that right." Bryson turned to look at Tucker Lee.
'Don't they say that elders are wiser than the younger. He should know the answer, right?'
Tucker Lee looked at the expectant eyes of the two youngsters in front of him and pursed his lips.
'How do I tell them that I have no idea what the answer would be?'
Tucker Lee was using every cell in his brain to come up with an excuse that would not make him lose his face. But a ringing sound caught their attention.
'There is an answer?'
The three males of the Red team exclaimed in their own head.
It was Chun Hua who rang the bell.
"Yes. Miss Chun Hua." Tang Tang looked at the chess player.
"It's incorrectly. The word 'incorrectly' is the answer." The player gave her answer.
"…"
'Ahhhh!!!!'
All of the spectators who had thought there the question was faulty was beating themselves up for not thinking of the answer.
"Chun Hua. Your answer is…. Correct. The word 'incorrectly' is the answer."
Tang Tang revealed the answer.
"That was a witty one." Tucker Lee commented.
"Coach Lee knew the answer?" Na Yun was amazed.
"It was not that hard to figure out."
"Wow… I guess I am the only dumb person here." Bryson was stunned.
"Me too…" Na Yun added, a bit sad that he was one of the dumb person in the group.
But both of the youngsters did not doubt Tucker Lee who was having a cold sweat from having to lie to save his face.
"Now. The Blue team has one point. And since the Red team failed to answer the question. The prisoner would be punished. Executor Red… please head on with the penalty."
The Red team was celebrating their first point. But as soon as the host made the call for punishment, they turned to Viviana who was sitting as elegant as a queen on a throne, on the seat that was meant for penalty.
The blank look on the actress did not change even when Tang Tang said this. The Red mascot thought there was no need to worry as he picked up the small bucket of 1 liter and poured it on Viviana.
The actress just closed her eyes without moving an inch. Her legs were still tucked neatly, her back straight and her arms still folded in the front.
The only thing different was that now she was wet.
The game which was supposed to be fun, now, when looking at the serious face Viviana was making made the spectators feel that it was not a game anymore. Some of the guests even scolded the production team for arranging such events.
Despite Viviana looking like a girl with seaweed stuck on her head, the show continued.
"Now… Let's move on to the next question."
Tang Tang then picked up the next question.
"What is the largest desert on earth?"
RINGGG
Lyra rung the bell first before she answered,
"Taka Dessert of the Mid Tangen Nation."
Most of the people knew the answer and thought that Lyra would surely get the point this time. But unexpectedly, the host, Tang Tang declared that the answer was incorrect.
RINGGG
It was Chun Hua this time.
"It's the Southern Polar Dessert."
"And that is the correct answer. Red team once again got the answer right. That makes it a total of two points."
Viviana was yet again made to hold up as another liter of water was poured on her.
"Now the third question…"
Viviana became the victim of the Red mascot's abuse for the third time, then for the fourth, and then fifth. Seeing her look like a soaked little chick, everyone was feeling pity for her. Even the director.
Chun Hua began to wait for Lyra to ring the bell first. So as to not let Viviana get more penalties. But the girl must've fried her brain or something. She could not get a single question right.
'Is she doing this on purpose?'
Chun Hua and the other guests thought the same.
But what they did not know was that Lyra was not doing it on purpose. She first thought of making Viviana suffer a little by intentionally not answering the questions. But after the questions were not like what she thought it would be.
After she failed to answer the first five questions, her brain seemed to not be working anymore. She was more panicked at the thought of her becoming a fool in front of others that she didn't even hear the questions properly.
At last, she did not answer a single question. There were two questions that Chun Hua failed to answer. Derrick was graced by the penalty for the two times she failed to answer.
In the end, what Viviana predicted turned out to be true. This left the rest of the guests and the spectators with mixed feelings.
