Sarah's gaze bounced between the exhausted Nade and the dead presidents. She closed her eyes and shook her head. Then she took a long and cleansed breath and exhaled it right away in one go. 'Ok, then we should grab ourselves some weapon. Maybe we can find some survivors!' 'Well, the moment we step outside the battle starts. And right now we aren't really armed. For me no big deal, but I doubt I will always be able to protect you when my hand is full of dealing with ghouls. So what are you gonna do?' Sarah went to her chair and broke the legs. The bottom of the legs from the chair could be removed and in each leg there was a gun. Viewing the gun Sarah replied: 'I never trust anybody. That's why I always bring this chair to every meeting. The place where a person sit down could be lifted. There munition and two daggers had been hidden. 'sorry, Nade. I showed you my ugly side. Well, all these and whatever was going on with Kale was, well, new to me. But now I am back!' She loaded her gun and her gaze turned sharp. She was radiating confidence and power. Yes, that was the President of England. She gazed back to Nade. 'We should go. If we fight our way to the basement a helicopter should be suited there. On our way we grab weapons and soldiers. Then we fly to the next airport and there we grab ourself a plane or whatever.' 'I like this plan. Then let's go!' Sarah closed the black box and grabbed it. In one hand a gun and in the other a box.
On the battlefield
There he was standing, viewing his fallen comrades, the ones teared apart by the ghouls and the one he had to kill with his own hands. Dae slapped himself. 'Get your act together!' He turned to Rayshel and the others, pointing at the forest in his back, some kilometers away. 'We will take the battles against the Legends there!' 'And then what?', a soldier yelled. 'We are fucked, even if we win! I am sure no help is coming!' Some soldiers intervened, shouting at the one soldier who had just spoken. Rayshel was eating a snack she had brought with her. So it was up to Dae to cut in: 'He's right! Before fighting these monsters we were told to wait 15min for help. Well, these 15min are long over. We should not hope for rescue. But now what? Will you sit here, start crying like little bitches? Is that what you were trained for? Damn no! We kill these damn Legends and then we will go deeper into the forest. As far as I know on the other side of the forest there should be a city or village, not sure anymore. But something, someone will be there! I have no use for people who lost hope. You will only drag us down!' Dae turned around and marched towards the forst. His word had been harsh but was he wrong? Moreover, he had just killed his friends. So, expecting a nice motivation from him should be the last a soldier could expect. Rayshel had eaten her snack. She went to a soldier and took out a bottle from his bag. Then she gulped down half a liter of water and finished with a: 'Ahhhh, that was good! And do you know what is also good, my soldiers? Warm meal. Seeing our friends and family again. Everyone who wants all this follow me. And the ones who have already given up on leaving, please do us a favor and shoot yourself. At least, that way you won't turn to these ugly creatures!' Rayshel jogged after Dae. Hr soldiers exchanged gaze and suddenly their motivation went up. They were far from over.
In a city in England
'Hope is a nice name', Larah replied. Sark interrupted their sweet moments: 'We should keep moving. If we remain here, on the open street, we are begging these monsters to come eat us. They jogged down the street, their eyes always in search of danger. For their luck no ghoul so far. When they rushed past a grocery market, they spotted survivors. The doors had been barricaded. Dean was about to go over but Sark took hold of his arm. 'We are not in times where we can help everyone. We should first of all look after ourself. And by the way, they barricaded themselves there. I doubt they want to leave that place! ' Dean glanced down but didn't disagree. They continued their way. The street led to an intersection. In the middle there was an immense fountain. Around this fountain ghouls were roaming. However, there was also something there that the group could need cars and in some of the cars the key was still there. They hid behind a building. 'Ok, Sark began. There are two ways to the hospital. The first is through the city but by foot and with these ghouls hell no! Or we can leave the city by the bridge in the east of the city. This will take us to the motorway. Well, now we only need a car. Here is my plan. Me and Dean keep these ghouls busy and you Larah will secure us a car. For our luck Hope has fallen asleep. Is everyone ok with the plan?' They nodded. Just then they heard steps, a lot of steps. Other group of people must have had the same idea because all of a sudden a crowd attacked the ghouls. Yes that would be a great help, however, Dean was the first one to see the other side of that help: 'Secure a car, no matter what!', he yelled, already dashing to the center of the chaos. (Sark: Damn, he's right! This people don't have a reason to leave car for us or to take us with them. In the worst case they are infected themselves!) Sark dashed after Dean. 'Larah, change of plan, stay here! We're gonna come pick you up!' Dean was about to reach the first car when someone entered it first. He wasn't the only one to enter it for the other side of the door was also open, welcoming a ghoul. Dean ran past the car, hissing. His hiss came back, louder when a ghoul landed right before him. By now Dean had gotten used to this shit. He used a car next to him as springboard and as he was flying over the ghoul's head for shots followed and the ghoul dropped dead. 'Dean!', Sark yelled, from inside a blue car. 'Let's get out from here!' With a wide small Drin sprinted towards the car. In the process he evaded clashes with people, ghouls and even driving cars. He made it. He got in and they drove off, direction Larah who was running towards them. She was fast but the ghoul right behind her was even faster. And all of a sudden Larah toppled over. She shielded Hope with her body during the fall. (Dean: She's not going to make it!) Peng, peng, peng. The target of the bullets were the right leg of the ghoul, making him lose balance. Behind the ghoul a cop emerged, but not any cop. It was Jessie. In one hand she was holding the gun and in the other an ax. The bag she had fastened on her back. With a swung of the ax she cleaved the ghoul's head in half. She was covered in blood and had wounds over her body. She was tired, that was sure but her eyes. They were radiating so much hatred. That hate was her fuel to keep living. She helped Larah up and as she saw the baby, that innocent baby with a wide smile, her hatred even if only for a moment vanished. The car halted before them. 'Larah, get in!', Sark yelled. 'And you, thank you for the help. But damn you look bad! Were you bitten!'
