"Moo!"
With a low bellow, the yellow ox moved with surprising agility, showing none of the usual clumsiness associated with its kind, and dodged effortlessly.
"Ox King, do you know what you're doing?!" Chu Feng gritted his teeth, his face darkening as he charged forward again.
This time, however, his target was the communicator. He needed to retrieve it first to see who exactly the yellow ox had been talking to, so he could explain the situation properly later.
Otherwise, what would people think? After a mysterious conversation, all they heard were continuous mooing sounds from his end.
Just imagining this scene... Chu Feng felt like spitting blood. He wanted nothing more than to kill this ox; it was beyond embarrassing!
Even if he tried to explain, how could he put it into words, and who would believe him? Chu Feng felt a headache coming on!
Should he tell others that a small golden ox was using his communicator to talk to them? Would anyone believe him? It seemed the more he explained, the worse it got.
The yellow ox wasn't cooperating, continuing to dodge.
Moreover, it stood upright on its hind legs, holding the communicator with its front hooves, circling around in the courtyard, dodging left and right.
"Give it to me!" Chu Feng shouted.
The yellow ox was more agile than humans, moving like a big golden monkey, jumping and leaping around the stone table, evading him.
It held onto the communicator tightly and occasionally mooed into it.
Chu Feng's face turned green. Was this thing still talking to someone?
"Ox King, I'll kill you!" he screamed, almost fainting from anger. This hateful ox showed no signs of repentance and continued to cause trouble.
The yellow ox expressed disdain, looking at him with contempt.
"After all the bad things you've done, you dare to provoke me?!" Unable to catch it, Chu Feng picked up objects from around the yard and threw them at the ox, trying to disrupt it.
For him, this was absolute torture. Every second the yellow ox held onto the communicator made him feel even more embarrassed.
Finally, the yellow ox stopped and placed the communicator on the stone table.
At this moment, Chu Feng's forehead turned black, his face full of anger and frustration, truly feeling tears of helplessness.
Clearly, the yellow ox was very curious about the communicator, even after putting it down, it kept poking it with its nimble hooves, which emitted a faint golden glow.
Chu Feng stared at it, sitting down somewhat powerlessly. He looked at the communicator, then at the ox, wondering how he would explain this to people. He felt utterly frustrated.
He sighed lightly, picking up the communicator, realizing there was no other way but to tell the truth.
"Remember, when I speak, you need to moo along," Chu Feng instructed.
The yellow ox nodded guiltily, seemingly ready to cooperate.
But when Chu Feng looked at the communicator, his expression froze. Where were the call logs? They were gone?!
He was completely stunned. Where did they go?
Chu Feng instantly recalled that just before, the yellow ox had been poking at the screen, clearing everything?!
"Yellow Ox, Ox King, what have you done, ahhh!" Chu Feng yelled. Just now, he was thinking about how to remedy the situation, but now realized there was no need.
"Who did you talk to?" he demanded loudly. Earlier, he vaguely saw Lin Nuoyi, the last person he wanted to be involved. Who else?
The yellow ox shook its head, looking quite innocent, indicating it didn't know either.
"How did you get into the contacts?" Chu Feng was almost driven mad. But when he touched those hateful golden hooves, he suddenly understood!
"You're laughing? One day, I'll find a chef and make a feast out of you while you sleep!" Chu Feng threatened angrily.
At that moment, the communicator flashed, showing Zhou Quan calling.
When connected, Zhou Quan's loud voice immediately came through, shouting, "Ox King, you little calf, you really are a monster, daring to harass me repeatedly!"
"It's me," Chu Feng replied.
"Oh, thank goodness, it's finally back in your hands. Your ox has become a monster, harassing me non-stop, even after hanging up, mooing continuously..."
After the call ended, Chu Feng's face remained frozen. He could imagine what this stupid ox had done. Who else had it harassed?
Zhou Quan was understandable since he had seen the ox before, no explanation needed.
A pleasant ringtone sounded, the communicator ringing again. Chu Feng grabbed it, seeing it was his university classmate Ye Xuan.
"Chu Feng, are you okay?" Ye Xuan asked.
"I'm fine, listen to me, it wasn't me just now..." Chu Feng spoke while gesturing to the ox to cooperate.
But the stubborn ox didn't move, staring blankly at him, ignoring all his signals.
"I understand, I know you broke up with Lin Nuoyi and are upset, but drinking too much is harmful, drink less, take care of yourself. I'll hang up now."
"What drinking?" Chu Feng listened to the dial tone, feeling depressed and helpless, unable to clear up the misunderstanding.
"Dead ox, come here, didn't we agree you'd testify for me!" Chu Feng glared at it.
The communicator rang again, another university classmate, Su Lingxi, a very beautiful girl.
Chu Feng immediately understood that after harassing Zhou Quan, the yellow ox must have browsed through his contact list.
"Su Lingxi, let me explain." He held one of the yellow ox's golden horns, determined to make it redeem itself, planning to start a video call.
But Su Lingxi didn't need much explanation, smiling, saying, "You want to tell me there's an ox next to you who did everything, and you'll send a picture to prove it? Okay, I believe you. But Chu Feng, this isn't like you, usually you're quite easygoing. Breaking up with Lin Nuoyi isn't a reason to drink. Also, recent events everywhere are unsettling, drink less, take care of yourself. I have important matters to handle, goodbye."
Chu Feng sat in a daze, the call ended.
That was Su Lingxi's style, very beautiful, perhaps even handsome, doing everything cleanly and gracefully.
After a long while, Chu Feng stared at the ox, saying, "Dead ox, you've ruined me!"
The yellow ox looked innocent, as if it was ready to make amends but didn't get the chance.
Chu Feng waited for a long time until no one called him anymore.
"Should be just these few people," he breathed a sigh of relief.
Beside him, the yellow ox nodded decisively, looking very certain, indicating there were no more troubles, just these few.
"Why are you nodding randomly, clearly there's one more, how do I explain to her?"
Chu Feng was sure Lin Nuoyi had been contacted because he saw it when he returned.
He stayed quiet for a moment, pushing the yellow ox's head away, preparing to call Lin Nuoyi.
The communicator connected, with soothing music playing on the other end. Chu Feng didn't speak immediately, not wanting to explain solemnly to Lin Nuoyi.
Perhaps she should understand he wouldn't be so boring.
There was silence on the other end, Lin Nuoyi didn't speak either, both immersed in quietness, able to hear each other's breathing faintly.
This lasted for half a minute.
Suddenly, the yellow ox lifted its head, rushing forward, mooing loudly into the communicator, making Chu Feng's ears buzz.
Ox King!
Chu Feng was completely enraged. Although he hadn't intended to explain deliberately, he didn't expect such a result.
Earlier, when he asked for cooperation, the ox ignored him, acting aloof. Now, without needing it, the ox rushed over, letting out a deafening moo.
Chu Feng clearly heard a high-foot wine glass fall on the other end, obviously startling Lin Nuoyi, who then hung up.
For a long time, Chu Feng remained motionless, until finally, he roared, "Dead ox, I'll cut you into pieces!"
The yellow ox looked innocent, as if to say, didn't you tell me to cooperate earlier?
The yard was filled with shouts and moos, chaotic like chickens flying and dogs jumping, unable to settle down.
In the end, Chu Feng was exhausted, running back to his room to sleep, deciding to leave it be.
Waking up, it was dusk.
Chu Feng prepared a sumptuous dinner, rewarding himself. This was his strength, dealing with troubles by eating heartily.
Although he had wanted to chop up the ox earlier, his anger subsided, and he prepared fresh grass and fruits for it.
In the evening, Chu Feng watched various reports, closely following the developments of changes across regions.
Suddenly, both TV and communicator signals became unstable, making him feel uneasy, knowing satellites in space were likely under attack.
Eventually, the interference disappeared.
The internet was buzzing.
Some semi-official news spread, mentioning that terrifying plants in space had been cleaned up, nearly all removed.
Chu Feng pondered, were they really cleared?
As night deepened, seeing additional reports, he grew worried, not believing everything was resolved.
Because many areas began experiencing comprehensive changes.
Someone posted clear photos showing dozens of massive mountains appearing outside their doors, majestic and towering, as if from myths.
Another report mentioned a young man driving to a neighboring town ten miles away but ended up driving a hundred miles to reach his destination.
Not only places like Songshan, Wangwushan, and Taihangshan were affected, but many other locations also experienced inexplicable phenomena, with hundreds of giant mountains and silver waterfalls emerging.
"Heaven, what happened, why has Wuyi Mountain grown several times larger, with new mysterious regions!"
"Huashan's main peak reaches the sky, emitting radiant light, the area expanded several times, countless steep peaks appeared, flowing with red mist."
These were messages spreading online, with more pouring in.
Changes seemed to happen all at once, affecting famous mountains and rivers across the country, filled with dense mists, surging spiritual energy, dangerous beasts lurking, becoming incredibly perilous.
Earthquakes, power outages, communication failures, building collapses, etc., accompanied these changes, making the situation extremely severe.
Late at night, Chu Feng sat quietly in his room, knowing what was coming, the most intense change was arriving.
*Dong!*
There was a knock on the door, followed by a moo from the yellow ox.
Chu Feng opened the door, the golden ox signaling him to follow, leading him to the courtyard.
Then, the yellow ox sat cross-legged on its hind legs, facing the starry sky, starting a special breathing technique, asking him to join.
Chu Feng was surprised, the yellow ox was urging him.
He calmed down, following the peculiar rhythm, feeling the vibrant life essence filling the air.
Soft moonlight shone, dim and hazy, as if guiding him, shining on his body, growing thicker, eventually forming a halo of white light, pure and sacred.
Additionally, stars poured down their essence, transforming into countless streams of light, slowly flowing towards him.
Chu Feng remained still, enveloped in radiance, surrounded by a hazy glow.
