Chapter 30 - The War of Heaven Begins

The Divine Realm

Kael stepped forward, his foot pressing against the celestial ground of the divine realm. The air here was thick with power, each breath filling his lungs with pure energy. The sky above was a swirl of golden and silver light, divine constellations shifting as if aware of his presence.

The gods had noticed him.

A deafening sound echoed through the heavens as divine horns blared. From the distance, golden-armored warriors descended from the floating palaces above. Their weapons, forged from the very essence of the cosmos, gleamed with the intent to destroy.

Kael smirked. "So they send their lapdogs first."

Elyra and the others readied their weapons. "Kael, we need a plan. They outnumber us."

Kael's gaze remained fixed ahead. "Then we even the odds."

With a mere thought, the power of the Forgotten Pantheon surged from his body, warping the space around him. Shadows and flames intertwined as ancient entities took form—warriors of the past, forsaken gods, and celestial beasts who had once been sealed away by the current ruling gods.

The heavens shook as Kael unleashed his army.

The First Clash

The divine warriors charged. Blades of holy fire clashed with Kael's summoned legion. The battlefield erupted in an explosion of power as forsaken gods wrestled with celestial champions. Each strike split the air, shockwaves rolling across the divine land.

Kael moved like a phantom, weaving between enemies, his spear flashing like a streak of black lightning. With a single thrust, he shattered the armor of a divine commander, sending the god crashing into the golden pavement below.

The commander's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible…!"

Kael twisted his spear. "You gods have grown weak."

Before another word could be spoken, Kael drove his spear through the commander's chest, divine ichor splattering across the battlefield.

The Gathering of Gods

From above, a golden palace loomed, its spires piercing the heavens. Inside, a council of gods sat upon their thrones, their faces grim.

"The Outcast has breached our realm," one of them spat, his voice laced with fury. "He is no longer a mortal. He is a threat to our dominion."

Another god, cloaked in the brilliance of the sun, leaned forward. "Then we end him before he grows too powerful."

A third, her voice like the wind, hesitated. "He has already slain one of our own. If we underestimate him—"

The doors to the palace burst open, divine flames rushing in like a storm. A single figure stepped through, his presence suffocating.

Kael had arrived.

The Battle of the Pantheon

"So, these are the rulers of heaven?" Kael's voice was almost amused as he stepped forward. "You look less impressive in person."

The gods rose from their thrones, divine energy crackling around them. The air grew heavy, space itself warping from the sheer pressure of their combined might.

Kael raised his spear, its edge gleaming with the power of the Forgotten Pantheon. "Let's see if heaven is worthy of keeping its throne."

With that, the war of heaven truly began.
