Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Perfect Model

"Victor, help me with my homework. Otherwise, I'll tell my father you stole my underwear from the laundry basket."

Selena slung her backpack over one shoulder and walked briskly behind Zhou Qingfeng, her tone carrying a hint of coquettishness and urgency.

Her voice was crisp and pleasant, like a cheerful little bird chirping incessantly in the boy's ear.

It was this girl who had secretly rubbed her leg against his under the breakfast table, causing Zhou Qingfeng's heart to race as if it would leap out of his chest.

For a moment, he even thought he was about to witness some absurd scandal, but it turned out to be just Selena's prank.

The truth left him both amused and exasperated.

The big prize had eluded him, and the mundane life continued as usual. Those who needed to go to school still had to go to school.

Even attending an obscure high school couldn't avoid the daily routine.

The two were hurrying toward the bus stop a hundred meters away.

Having been reincarnated, Zhou Qingfeng was in a great mood, seeing everything in a brighter light. He felt that the morning sun shone on the street, giving this ordinary day a faint golden hue.

"You went to a class reunion last night and had so much fun that you just remembered now you haven't done your homework? What were you doing earlier?"

Selena pouted and then showed a pleasing smile, leaning close to him and saying, "Don't be so stingy! How about I introduce some girls to you?

What type do you like? Busty and long-legged, energetic sporty type, or sweet and pure compliant type?

As long as you help me, I promise to play matchmaker for you!"

She blinked her eyes as she spoke, trying to "tempt" Zhou Qingfeng.

Seeing the boy unimpressed, she grabbed his sleeve and pleaded, "Victor, please help me!

If I don't get above a B on today's homework, my father will definitely get angry and ground me. Then I won't be able to go anywhere, not even to the parties!"

Selena was wearing a slightly small white shirt, the tight design outlining her burgeoning chest, exuding youthful vitality.

She paired it with loose gray sweatpants, simple in style, but as she moved, her full hips flashed inadvertently with a hint of temptation.

Her figure was in the prime of youth, just budding, bearing both the innocence of a girl and a touch of charm, full of energy.

She clung to him persistently, like a pesky little cat, leaving Zhou Qingfeng both helpless and unable to refuse.

In the original memory, Julia thought he was doing 'unspeakable things' in the bathroom because Zhou Qingfeng stayed in there too long.

The innocent Zhou Qingfeng felt humiliated and had a big argument with Julia. Naturally, no one would rub his leg or act coyly towards him.

Reborn, he remained calm, easily avoiding a meaningless conflict, which immediately altered the course of events significantly.

White Beach Town was small, so small that almost everyone knew each other, and any little incident could spread throughout the town like wildfire.

As the town's seasoned police chief, Kongges' authority was no joke.

When he issued a "grounding order," it wasn't just a punishment for Selena, but a sort of "lockdown" for the entire town.

Once this father spoke, all entertainment venues in town—from cinemas to arcades, bars to cafes—would shut their doors to Selena.

No mischievous kid would risk offending the police chief by inviting Selena to any party or event.

This essentially sealed off her social circle, depriving her of the chance to interact with others. For a teenage girl, it was like taking away half her life.

"Isn't that great?" Zhou Qingfeng shrugged, teasingly saying, "You'll have plenty of time to study without any distractions."

"Victor, you'll have no friends if you don't help!" Selena angrily glared at him, her big eyes round and fixated on him as if trying to pin him down with her gaze.

Her cheeks puffed slightly, resembling an angry little pufferfish, very cute.

The variety of assignments in American public high schools was vast, especially in a school like Selena's, where the homework was incredibly diverse.

Traditional subjects like math, science, and chemistry didn't have much homework, but writing speeches, book reports, essays, making PPTs, videos, and summary reports were endless.

These assignments had no standard answers; although AI assistance was available, they still required a lot of time and effort to organize and revise.

Even for someone like Zhou Qingfeng, a seasoned hand, handling it all felt overwhelming—with no time to do homework for this little girl.

Plus, she was always running off to some nonsensical party. For her healthy growth... a firm refusal.

A few students had already gathered at the bus stop, standing in small groups, engaging in low conversations with occasional light laughter.

When they noticed Zhou Qingfeng and Selena approaching, they immediately restrained their smiles, subconsciously stepping aside to maintain their distance.

"See... being with you makes me isolated."

Selena muttered under her breath, feeling indignant and helpless. She stuck close to Zhou Qingfeng, as if he were her only support.

In fact, the one actually without friends was Selena herself.

She had a fierce police chief father, which made the young people in town wary of her, resulting in an unusually narrow social circle.
