As the thrill of the moment began to fade, Professor Oak escorted both Willow and Vulpix to a visibly anxious Della. Before Willow could utter a word, Della enveloped her in a bear hug that could rival even a Bewear's embrace.
Willow thought to herself, I would vehemently refute anyone who claimed my mother was helpless or weak..
As Willow was stuck in Della's hug but that wasn't all Della was also blubbering onto of that some much that Oak had to first to calm her down before telling her of what happened and try to her down again before she became extra emotional. Then as everyone went inside the house and sat down. Willow explained what most happened with Oak's assistant on what had happened at the lab. What was also surprising was Ash popping out of nowhere exclaiming in excitement of what had happened and mostly that Willow all ready have my own Pokemon even technically not legally hers yet.
Character pov
In the midst of my morning routine, I found myself gently petting my adorable Vulpix. After a few weeks of companionship, we had settled into a cozy sleeping arrangement in my room. One morning, Vulpix stirred, stretching her tiny body before playfully licking my face. I cracked my eyes open just in time to let out a surprised "oomph" as she leaped onto my stomach, demanding my full attention. "You know I dislike it when you do that," I remarked to my playful companion, but she merely tilted her head and bounded off the bed, making a beeline for the door. After a brief stretch, I followed her out, and we headed to the kitchen for breakfast. To my surprise, my brother was already awake and enjoying a meal. After we finished eating, I took some time to groom Vulpix before changing my clothes. Once ready, we engaged in a bit of training; I focused on helping her master her fire attacks, particularly Fire Spin, while I practiced my psionic abilities by levitating a few small rocks. However, I soon found myself nearly collapsing from the effort of pushing my powers further. "One day, I will achieve better mastery of my psionic abilities," I thought to myself as we wrapped up our training session.
End of character pov
As the training session came to an end, two individuals, Ash and Gary, approached, deeply engrossed in a spirited discussion about who would ultimately claim the title of champion or Pokémon master, thereby establishing themselves as the strongest trainer. Willow had been a silent observer of their debates for almost a year, and one could easily envision cartoonish tic marks appearing on her forehead as her irritation grew. When they got closer, she playfully tapped the tops of their heads, leaving them with noticeable bumps as they rubbed their scalps in confusion, voicing their complaints about her unexpected action. Without offering any explanation, Willow, accompanied by the two boys and Vulpix, headed towards the nearby river, where Ash and Gary were eager to start a fishing contest. On their way, they stopped by Gary's grandfather's house to pick up two fishing poles for Gary and Ash, while Willow simply enjoyed the outing. Upon arriving at the river, the boys quickly began their competition, while Willow took the opportunity to groom and play with Vulpix. Soon, both boys managed to catch something, and Willow recognized it immediately: the infamous broken Poké Ball that had sparked their rivalry. As they pulled it up and broke it, a quarrel ensued between them, prompting Willow to intervene with a light smack to their heads. "You two don't even have your partner Pokémon yet, and you're already trying to prove who's the best. Neither of you would stand a chance against me in the league tournament." With that declaration, a promise was forged among the three children, setting a shared goal to reach the pinnacle of their abilities and challenge one another in battle.
