As Willow and Vulpix journeyed through the forest, Willow utilized her Pokedex to scan nearly every Pokémon in sight, from Caterpie to a cluster of Rattata. Suddenly, a Pidgey flew overhead, drawing her attention to a small green creature swaying gently in the sunlight, as if performing a dance. She pondered the improbability of encountering such a Pokémon in the Kanto region, questioning its presence away from Alola, Galar, or Paldea. Approaching cautiously, she confirmed her suspicion: the creature was a Fomatis, a Pokémon typically found in those other regions. This raised concerns about how it had arrived in Kanto; either it had been smuggled by poachers or released into the wild, with the latter seeming less likely given the strict regulations enforced by the league to prevent ecological imbalances. Willow recalled studies indicating that certain Pokémon, like Rattata and Farfetch'd, could develop regional variations. As she recognized the Fomatis, she noted that it was not just any variant but a shiny one, distinguished by its green and gold hues instead of the usual pink. Just then, fate intervened as she accidentally snapped a twig beneath her foot, startling the creature, which was known for its nocturnal habits and dislike of being disturbed from sleep.
The look the little guy gave was enough to kill anyone if looked threatening but it just looked adorable.
"So it looks like we are going to battle." I said with Vulpix standing by my side preparing herself for the fight. "If I remember right Fomantis is a pure grass type pokemon, and Vulpix has the advantage against it, what this real life not a game. I need to fight with the need to survive it doesn't matter since this is real life not an anime or game." She thought to herself shaking her head a little. then fomantis's sickles were glowing bright lime green and dashed at Vulpix, the move it was using on its limbs was furry cutter. vulpix dodged the first three attacks but a couple more land.
Vulpix darted around, unleashing a flurry of embers while trying to maneuver into its opponent's blind spot. The Formatis skillfully dodged the attacks and retaliated with Razor Leaf, creating a dynamic exchange between the two Pokémon. After three minutes of intense battle, both combatants began to show signs of fatigue. Just as Formatis was gearing up for its next move, Willow issued a decisive command: "Hypnosis now, end it." Vulpix's eyes glowed blue as it released hypnotic waves toward the grass-type Pokémon. Overwhelmed by exhaustion, Formatis succumbed to the effects of the hypnosis and fell asleep. Seizing the opportunity, Willow threw a Poké Ball, which opened and enveloped the slumbering Pokémon in a red light. The ball shook three times before finally settling with a satisfying ping, signaling a successful capture.
With that Willow excitement grew, as she now complete a dream of her old life and small goal of her new life have a Pokemon battle and catching her own Pokemon. As she became more and more animated about the realization of her dream, is now her life. She then started to calm down and look at Vulpix. After looking her over she noticed Vulpix has minor cuts and bruises from the battle. "It's amazing on how durable the Pokemon species are compared to humans and normal animals." She thought to herself. She didn't do much except use some disinfect to not worry of any infection. After that she and Vulpix continue their journey told Pewter city.
