The next day Sumit woke up, but something changed about him; in his eyes there was a strange glint; they were sharp.
After taking a shower, he started cleaning his room; he picked up the trash and threw it in the out, where the municipality vehicle will take it away.
After seeing the now cleaned place, Sumit nodded to himself; then he went to the bathroom, removed his clothes, and looked at himself in that cracked mirror.
Standing at 190 cm, with dark black hair, light skin tone, and weighing around 140kg.
"Haha!!" He laughed at himself, looking at his sorry state, remembering the past when he was not the best-looking but still good enough to earn some looks from the opposite gender.
"This needs to be changed!" he said to himself, and he had enough of this state; he will change and then...revenge.
He went to the kitchen and picked up all the processed trash he had been consuming for the past few months to throw them out.
He had made up his mind; he would lock in and improve himself to take back what was rightfully his.
And like that he started working out and consuming healthy food and started working to sharpen his skills that he previously had as he stopped everything after the betrayal.
He started freelancing to earn some cash as he was currently broke; with his skills he was able to finish projects easily and relatively fast, and with the money earned he bought a gym membership and healthy food.

Currently, Sumit was going to the convenience store near his apartment to buy some veggies. As soon as he entered, he saw her, the new neighbor whom he shouted at. Remembering what he did back then made me sad as he decided to apologize to her.
Sophia was currently doing her job as a cashier in the nearby store; though not much, she earned enough to take care of herself, suddenly that person entered the store. Seeing him, she turned rigid as she suddenly remembered what happened back then. how he shouted at her even when she did nothing wrong.
She was afraid and angry but soon calmed herself down as she remembered the store policy, 'Customers are king,' and she didn't want to lose her job.
As soon as that person reached her, she put on her professional smile and said,"how may-" But she couldn't complete her sentence as that person in front of her bent down and said,.
"I am really sorry for what happened back then; I was not in my right mind back then."
Her eyes went wide open as she at first couldn't understand the situation but soon got her bearing and hurriedly said,.
"It's okay, it's okay; please get up," and only then did Sumit straighten up. As if he remembered something, he presented his hand and said,
"Hi, I am Sumit Singh. last time I didn't introduced myself," shaking his hand Sophia also introduced herself again, and like that, they conversed with each other and went back to their daily lives.

And like that, four months passed away. Sumit had a major change in his physical form, as he, with his disciplined schedule, had lost 38kg of weight, with him being a 102 kg guy, not fit but a lot better than that. Not just that, he also did a lot of freelancing and open-source work to earn a stable source of income and also improved his friendship with Sophia.
And today they decided to go for dinner; though nothing romantic, the plan was made up suddenly as they were talking, and he accepted it.
He, after wearing a casual set of clothes, went next door to knock on the door, but seeing no response, he decided to knock again but found the door to be opened. After thinking for a few minutes, he went inside, and as soon as he reached the hall, he noticed something that made his mind blank: there was a picture frame, and in that picture he saw two people.
Both were familiar to him; one of them was Sophia, and the second person was his best friend, the very person who betrayed him.
Thousands of thoughts ran through his mind, but one thing was clear to him: Sophia had a reason to come here, and the mastermind behind everything was Ray.
Sumit ran out of her house; he didn't had any destination in mind; he just ran, and after running for who knows how long, he stopped. He was standing on the top of a hill in their city. A popular tourist spot. A spot where he used to come with Ava, which for some reason was empty today
"HaHaHaha!!!!!" he laughed like a maniac; there was a madness in his eyes.
"Even after all this, he is afraid of me; he destroyed me yet sent someone to spy on me. Good, good, you should be afraid, because if you aren't, you will regret it."
And soon rain started falling, also signalling why this place was empty today, as it must have been in today's weather forecast that it would rain today.
Sumit looked at the sky as the raindrops fell on his face.
"GOD!" He called out; even though he didn't receive any response, he continued.
"You took everything from me: my parents, my work that you gave to that bastard. It really made me question, is he your bastard child?! Or something? As all his life he was lucky, he got everything he wished for in life: family, money—you name it. But it doesn't matter anymore because I will destroy everything he has; I will take everything from him. If you didn't kill me now, I would kill him for sure." If someone were to hear or look at the situation, they would have either laughed at it or called a mental asylum, as what Sumit was spewing were such words."
What happened next was not something natural, as a cloud actually formed a face in the atmosphere, and soon an upper body of a man was created with the clouds outlining that figure. That figure looked at Sumit; from his expression, he was angry, and soon he extended his hands backwards and did a throwing gesture, and all hell broke loose.
As with that gesture, all the lightning combined and formed a spear and moved and hit Sumit, burning his whole body in an instant.
He was just shocked at the figure in the sky, and the next second he was dead.
